Monday Meowsie News…The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

HIYA!!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

First the BAD…sorry if this information offends anyone…but Mom Linda made me put it in this post…(points paw at typist accusingly)…

You are taking me WHERE!!??

You are taking me WHERE!!??

Ok, ok…so I have only…ahem…koff, koff…ahhh…well ya know…gone #2 twice since my dental…that’s like one poo a week for two weeks.  MOUSES!! Why do peeps seem to think that is a problem…serously!  Given the stress they put me under…like 1) they leave, then leave gain…over and over…2) they continue to think I am going to eventually be OK with The Kid Sage…(seriously)…3) I have to be with the new pet sitter again!!…4) they have my first dental AND they secretly steal one of my catnine’s…WHAT DO THEY WANT???

OF COURSE I AM CONSTIPATED!!!…sheeeeesh….*pink embarrassed ears*

Now…THE UGLY…yup…you already know what is going to happen, right??…I have to get snatched up…Mom gets me this time…then takes me to the vet…and GUESS WHAT??…they discover I have poop stored up!!! WOO HOO!!!

Turn away if you don’t want to know the rest…no, seriously, I really mean it…turn AWAY!!!

Don't Look

Don’t Look

Yes…I went to the Bad Place…they did their thing…no, I have NOT lost weight…but yes…I did …ahem…ahhhh…well….have a bitty bit of ‘back up’ in the poop tunnel….sorry…but that’s the truth….and now the REALLY UGLY...(looks over shoulder…whispers…enema…)

Now for the TOTALLY GOOD!!!…and so sorry but no photos…I was as surprised as Mom Linda…but when she brought me home…I eventually found my way to lying in front of the slider door in the living room…Mom…so concerned followed me…she talked sweetly to me…and, ummmm…and….ahhhh…

I COULD NOT HELP MYSELF!!!…I was so relieved to be home…I rolled onto my back…full tummy exposed…and raised my chin…and offered IT ALL TO MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PAWSOME!! TOTALLY PAWSOME!!!!!!!!!!

I allowed Mom Linda to stroke my WHOLE TUMMY…from under my chin all the way down to my…ahhhh…”privates”…and back and forth for like about a whole TWO MINUTES!!!

She stopped because she did not want to “over step” my gracious allowance to such an intimate part of my personal being…but furriends…this was the first time I have ever…in TWO YEARS…been so vulnerable with Mom Linda…and I even allowed Dad Peter…later some, tho’ limited…freedoms with my special furs…

And that my furriends is my PAWSOME Monday Meowsie News!!!

Paw Pats, Savannah

peeEsswe worked so hard last weekend to visit EVERYONE we follow for at least 2-3 posts…and now we are behind again because…of course, the peeps are ‘working’…please, please don’t leave me…I will be back to a schedule when life does not overwhelm our furramily…and yes…The Kid Sage is still with us…MOUSES!!!

It’s wonderful that you have a mom who cares about you enough to keep track of your, ahem, litter box presents. She knew something was wrong and did what was needed to get you all better. We know that vet trip must have been horrible! You’re a real trooper Savannah, we hope you are feeling better. Love, Cali ,Andy, Tater and Shelly (C.A.T.S)

Well, your day certainly did end much better than it started, Savvy! We think it’s so cool how you let Mom Linda and Dad Peter touch your belly furs!

  4. I’m quite pleased they didn’t photograph your poop problem, Savvy! I hope that’s over now.
That’s great news that you were relaxed enough to have a full tummy rub!

  5. Sounds to us that you were so relieved to be relieved of that poop problem that you had to share the love. Just be careful, you don’t want to give the humans the idea that this is a new level of intimacy that you will be allowing with “regularity.” Did you get our little pun? MOL. Glad you are feeling better. Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  6. Savvy, it is the exact same thing here with the visiting!!! That’s why I am just catching up now!! 🙂 Sorry about the errr poop probs!! Hope I shall see that all is well by now xoxoxo

  7. Oh savvy, you’ve discovered the wonder of the belly run. I’m so proud of you!

  8. ai yi yi!!! One poop a week is NEVER enough!! We’re glad that’s all taken care of…and it is 100% THRILLING that you ASKED for a tummy rub! Savvy, we are so proud of you. Now, tell your peeps THEY need to be regular so’s YOU can be, too! MOL

    • and you better believe they are watching me like hawks on a mouse to see if I leave a deposit soon; otherwise it is more meds or something called probiotics???? Mom Linda is learning all about that from our pals on FB Cats With Blogs Group

Savvy, my sweet darling! I can hardly believe they put…put…..that….well, best not to think of it. I hope you made somebody BLEED for that wickedness. Though I am sure it must have been a, um, relief and all.

I understand about the tummy-exposure. Sometimes we are just sooooooo glad the icky stuff is over and we feel better that we allow liberties to be taken. Why, even I myself have occasionally allowed such things–though only from a side-position. I really never lie on my back ::shudder::

I am sorry your Peeps are being so very unreliable! What on earth is their excuse, uh, “reason” this time for leaving in the house with that Child of the Corn or whatever she is. Feel free to teleport over anytime. I have a litter box & I’d be happy to share.

    • first, I hardly EVER lie on my back either…that’s why this was such a big deal…and then the tummy rub…WOW! And I do wish that the Kid could find another home…just sayin’….she just terrifies me

Savvy so sorry you had to suffer such indignity but so glad you didn’t get so bad you had to have surgery. So very excited for your mom and you that you trusted her enough to share belly! Have a fabulous week! Hope you have some good sun puddles to rest and relax in!

I hope the poop problem is better now. Concats on letting your mum pet your belly and chin. Now you know how good it feels, make sure you let her do it often.

  17. Nice to see a Sage-free post here even if you had all those plumbing probs. I used to go every 2-3 days until I started eating the gooshy food with the pumpkin soup. Now I go every day. It taste good too and doesn’t break the bank, or so I’m told.

  18. Have your pipes cleaned is no fun for sure, but we’re glad you’re OK now. And 2 minutes of belly rubs ? Concatulations for trusting your mom and your dad and making them so happy ! Purrs

    • hi guys!! so so so so sorry to not have been round to visit for over a week again. Mom is off with Dad today through Thursday on bizzyness…she promised to help me visit if she can at night while she is gone…pumpkin sounds interesting…thank you so much!

  20. being backed up is NO fun. Ask Rocky. Glad you got it sorted out. Perhaps you should try some probiotics just to be on the safe side?

  21. Two whole minutes of tummy rubs? EXCELLENT! They’re great, aren’t they? Hope there will be lots more of those in the future.

    Purrs,
    Nissy

PS. So sorry your mum made you put all that plumbin’ business in your blog post but aren’t you glad you… uh… cleared the pipes? Yoo-hoo! YOO-HOO!!! purrs

    • *pink ears* I thought my furriends needed to know that I have been pretty stressed and why…hoping everyone understood. I am very aloof now, hanging out on the couch or under my tent…not playin’ much at all. Now today they leave and the sitter comes again…so back UTB for me…sigh Mom L comes home late Wed…I don’t think I like them working…wish they would just quit

  22. Jolly pleased to hear that episode is over – you poor thing!

    • thank you Miss Annie…BUT did you see the really, really BIG news??? I rolled right over ON MY BACK and presented MY TUMMY to MOM!!! I INVITED her to rub me…and I even lifted my head so she could start under my chin and go all the way down and back…several times…ahhhhhhh

  23. Wow! A whole 2 minutes!!!! Good for you!!! I’m so glad you got to share that with our mummy AND your daddy to!!!!
Poor Sav having a backed up poop tunnel!!!! Ouch! Glad you got it fixed though!
    ((Husky hugz))
Frum our pack at love is being owned by a husky

  24. OMGoodness, Savvy. When it gets ugly it gets REALLY REALLY ugly. I made mention of the doctor in my blog yesterday. The part about sticking sticks where they don’t belong. Ugly.

    Stay cuddly,
    Cupcake

  25. Oh dear!! Glad to hear that is is well now…. my baby brofur Smoochie had the same thing *an enema* happen to him a couple of years ago, he said it wasn’t very nice but felt so much better afterwards 🙂

Also, a few years back when it was very snowy and cold for weeks and weeks on end here, our local vet had no end of constipated kitties going for the same treatment – something to do the the never ending cold they said…

    Purrs Basil xox

  26. Savannah, that happened to me too. I remember how embarrasing it was as the hand of the vet… you know :o) I’m glad you feel better njow and I bet the tummy-strokes of mom Linda and dad Peter helped a little :o)

  27. Heathcliff says YAHOOOOOOOOOO!! That’s for the tummy rubs not the poopy stuff, which was …well…erm…poopy for you to have the tube shoved where the sun don’t shine.
The REAL Maple Syrup Mob xxxxx

    • we thought you all, especially Heathcliff would LOVE my news!! Now if I can only allow pick up AND be kind to The Kid Sage…but I still hiss and growl and then swat if she comes too close…I never ever go after her…she just can’t keep away from me and she scares the heck out of me

  28. Oh my gosh! Is there something going around? You are like the 4th or 5th kitty in the last few weeks talking about being plugged up… I’m starting to wonder.. are you all on the same food? Did some cat food company change formulas? You poor things! I hope you stay clear!
Super Yay for the tummy rubs! Now that you know how awesome they are, I hope you want them over and over and over! MOL!
Now, see, you didnt used to want tummy rubs, but now you like them! And you don’t like the Kid.. but perhaps one day you will like her and enjoy having a cuddle buddy to sleep with! One can hope, no?

Sweet Savvy, NO way would I leave you. I am your furriend and while I may be late coming by sometimes, I always know you are there and depend on that. Don’t you worry.

SO glad you got the dental really, as you will benefit by it more than you realize. And for poop…ya gotta. Relax and be glad you are doing better, sweetness.

  30. mollieandalfie on said:

Oh savvy, we all get pooped up sometimes. Glad your all better, it must just of been the nerves 🙂 xxoxxxx

    Mollie and Alfie

  31. Savvy! I bet you feel like a million bucks now that you are “unclogged” and no wonder you let your Mom AND your Dad have access to your magnificent tummy! Now you’ve got to promise us that you will RELAX and let that body of yours do its’ normal thing with the poop machine OK? What goes IN, must come OUT – that’s the way it works. Happy Monday!

    Hugs, Sammy

  32. Wow well done you! I am doing a happy dance around the office!!

  33. Binga has had to have that done too, so you are not alone, Savannah!

  34. I am so glad you are OK now!! Nerves I reckon!! Good to know you are now 100% better AND that you are gaining confidence. You are making such a good impression for young Sage!! As for missing people heck!! Don’t worry you are only….. Er… Sort of errr a cat with staff trouble ;-)))

    Silver

    • yeah Silver, that’s kind of what we all think…hope I can relax enough to get things workin’ properly…I have a ton of work stacked up in my steam punk workshop…you know that pink cell phone is still a mystery and I am testing that stainless steel whisk for foreign aloids…suspicious looking I think…back to you on what I find next week *wink, wink*

  35. Oh Savvy…I think we all know that feeling…and with kitties and pups it is so important to get that train a movin’ …glad you got your bits sorted my sweet and to let mum have the full rubies …well that’s just the best news 🙂 ok you still have The Kid to deal with but what great strides my sweet 🙂 tell mum we all know what busy is…and busy always comes first 🙂 hugs Fozziemum xxx
