At Last Some Sun

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

In case some of my readers do not know it, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and we have been in a big ole’ drought for like about five years. Well,  Mom Nature has been tryin’ to get us moving toward ending this drought with her weather pattern in the last week.

We have had rain and more rain and now all the dirt is soaked and sayin’ “NO MORE MOM NATURE!”

So as you can see, I was delighted and calmed to finally have a sun puddle all to myself. I am sitting behind Mom L’s printer stand. I learned last year that Mom Nature provides a very nice sun puddle in this one spot during our Winter months. Can you see my reflection?

I am so chill'axed...anybody wanna come and join me?

Hope you are finding some sun puddles in your week too.

PeeEss—You can click to bigify the Momma Kat graphic to remind you of her story. She is beginning to be more and more social. We think she may have been a feral kitty, only 1 1/2 years or so old when found with her five kittens in May 2016. If so, then she is showing remarkable recovery and socialization progress. Please keep her in your thoughts.

But we do share a cat tower now and then.

I didn't know TKS was up there. MOUSES!!

Packing Up Our Tree

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I owe my readers an apology for not letting ya know I wasn’t gonna get a blog post up last Friday. Truth to tell, I didn’t know I wasn’t gonna be able to. You see, the day before was Mom L’s birthday and well—(shuffling paws) Mom L kind’a forgot. But she really did have more important things to do because Dad P had some of her very special friends over to help her celebrate.

As for packing up our Christmas stuff, we all got it done the day after Christmas. I decided to nap and let everyone else get the hard work done.

The Kid Sage helped Dad P with the final packing up—the Christmas Tree was going back into its box until next year.

Dad P, I'm not sure this is the box for the tree?

Dad P, I’m not sure this is the box for the tree? Will it fit?

TKS helped get every single ornament off the tree and packed away. But she was worried about her pal the Christmas Tree. She wanted her to be comfy napping away for a whole year.

Yep, you were right Dad P. This is the right box. It fitted and it sitted perfectly!

Yep, you were right Dad P. This is the right box. It fitted and it sitted perfectly!

But as Dad P started to get the tape out to close up the tree, TKS began to get anxious.

Dad P? Can our Christmas Tree come out again to be with me next year?

Dad P? Can our Christmas Tree come out again to be with me next year?

Of course it will come out again next year TKS! Silly kitty! And after the Christmas Tree was safely and carefully placed in storage, we all said good bye to the Christmas Season of 2016. Hope yours was lots of fun and that you are ready for our New Year called number 2017!
