HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

DSC_4967 edit

This is a product review for Chewy.com…for cat food…very good cat food…apparently ‘exceptional food’ when considered by other ‘species’…oh yes…you are certainly going to want to read on…seriously…just sayin’….

The product is Best Feline Friends, which is made by Weruva.  Now in this feline friendly home we believe that Weruva is one of the brands that pays particular attention to making sure that their cat food products are just about some of the best produced.

When we searched to find some opinions…we were especially impressed with the review published by our great friends over at The Conscious Cat.  The review was last year…but they addressed our very first concern…what in the world does “Product of Thailand” imply???  You can read their review right HERE…and this is what they say about the concern over their production in Thailand…

Their diets are made in Thailand.
I generally prefer foods that are manufactured in the US. David Forman explained: “Our foods are produced in a facility in Thailand that also makes food for people around the world, including the US and the strict EU and Japan. Similar to our USDA, there is a branch in Thailand called the Department of Livestock Development (DLD). The chickens we source in Thailand are part of an Animal Welfare Standard that sets forth ethical treatment guidelines that helps protect livestock and cattle at the farm, during transport and at the time of processing. Thailand is the 3rd or 4th largest poultry producer in the world for human consumption with much of it exported…so there is heavy regulation by the Thai government to ensure the ethical treatment of animals as well as high processing standards. The diets of the chickens is non-GMO.

And here is what we learned about the ingredients of the BFF products we reviewed…

The Ingredients – The main ingredient is a red meat or dark meat from tuna, primarily skipjack or bonito, two smaller and highly sustainable species. The cuts contain lean muscle meat and have a taste and aroma that drives kitties wild! Amongst the various flavors, we include value added toppers such as boneless skinless chicken breast, duck, lamb, salmon, shrimp and pumpkin.

Wild Caught and Dolphin Safe – And speaking of kitties going wild for BFF, all of the fish used is wild caught, with the exception of tilapia. The catches of fish are also certified to have been safe for dolphins and turtles, as certified by the ships’ captains.

Having read all that…Mom L decided it was ‘A OKAY’ for her precious girls to have a sample of this food…

The Kid Sage Bombs a Video: Friday Frolics

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Leave it to The Kid Sage to turn a perfectly enjoyable box opening into a catastrophe!!

Who?? ME??!!

Who?? ME??!!

We are certainly not the first nor probably the last to receive a totally pawsome box of cat goodies from Mr.Chewy to let us know how much they appreciate having us on their product review team.  And no. we do not receive any compensation…and yes…we are doing it for free just because we want to.

Now, if someone out there wants to ask us to showcase some product reviews AND donate their product so we can have a give-away to rescue shelters…that would be even more exciting!!!  But…I have now digressed…

Back on topic…we receive our gift box from Mr. Chewy several days ago but Mom L would not allow us to open it until she had time to try to do a ‘proper’ photo shoot…whatever that means???

First…the box contained a ton of stuff…and we have already shared the wealth with our pals at Community Concern 4 Cats…they even included cool things for our humans!!

I, of course, as the Princess Savannah who manages this blog, demanded to sample some of the ‘product’ first…

Next I allowed The Kid Sage to take a few samples…

And then Mom L decided to copycat (pun intended) our pals over at Katnip Lounge and do a video…BIG MISTAKE with The Kid Sage loose…just sayin’…

So did you notice how Mom L copied Miss Trish’s voice tone???  Hilarious!! Miss Trish should be offended indeed…but seriously…not intended, no, no, not at all.

And The Kid Sage…she could not even spend one teeny bit of time pawing her fave treat bag!!

And so it goes…another day in Castle Princess Savannah with The Kid Sage…

CHOW CALL!!!: Monday Meowsie News

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Betcha when Mr Chewy over at Chewy.com asked me to do this little product review…he never ever imagined the lengths I would go to in order to deliver a fair review…heh…heh

chewy review 01

I thought I would receive a couple of cans of something…it sounded pretty interesting when Mr Chewy asked me to have a go at tasting it. Oh My Cat! Mr Chewy sent me not one, not two cans…but 24!!!

So you can see why I needed to make that list of the other pals I could get to join in this review.  And the guys over at The Kitty Platoon…well…there are SIX of them so surely I could get a couple of them to join in.  And Cuzin Leo has a very selective palate so he needed to be asked too.

The food is a new product from Wellness…and I receive 24 containers of their Divine Duos…with chicken pate and diced turkey…

So of course, as I am ‘THE’ primary writer and the owner of this blog…I had to give it a try first…

For me…THREE paws up

Next I called The Kid Sage over…she is not very discriminatory about what she plants her face in when it comes to food…and she did not disappoint in giving the Divine Duos a try.

The Kid Sage gives it FOUR big paws up…
(she scooped the last bits out using her ‘paw fork’)

Next we put the Divine Duos to its toughest taste test…among a platoon of cats with varying palates…enter The Kitty Platoon taste testing…

Kitty Platoon gives SIXTEEN paw up

Not done yet folks…next is my Cuzin Leo.  And truth be told…he just barely submitted his final taste testing getting his photo shoot in to me under the wire…we were already about to publish and the sound of incoming email caught my attention…Cuzin Leo is too obsessed with that Gnome situation over at his place…just sayin’…anyways…here is his assessment…

And that would be a HUGE  FOUR paw up from Cuzin Leo

Let me see…16+4+3+4=27 PAWS UP

Not bad at all…I sure do hope Mr Chewy gets to read this review.  I sure had fun getting all my pals and furramily together to do it.

Here are some facts I found when I visited the Wellness website:
