My castle is ok—how is yours??

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Hey my pals!! I am feeling lots better, but I still have some serious health challenges ahead. Unfortunately, I still have very bloody stools, so we know I am bleeding internally somewhere. I have Mom L and Dad P, Doc Josie and my regular doc all watching out for me. I still enjoy havein’ a sniff or two of a great Yeowzz nip rainbow! I am certainly not gonna toss in the towel just yet!! Send me your POTP and I just know that will help bunches.

TKS is starting to feel the “heat” of our oncoming Summer weather. But she knows how to keep her under garments cooled off! MOL!!

Now sweet Katie, she likes to hang out on a chair in the living room, near where Mom L turns on a floor fan when it gets hot. Katie looks so pretty against that red blankie, doesn’t she??

Now for our current foster kittens. We have four from the same litter, The Hole in the Wall Gang. And we have our approximately eight month old black diamond, Tiffany. All five went to their first ever adoption event this weekend. They spent three hours Saturday and Sunday hanging out in cages, hoping that some potential adopters might show up and claim them as their very own furramily members. Sadly, no potential adopters showed up on either day???!! But our fosters did great! They were no shy. They were playful and allowed Mom L’s cat rescue pals to do their mani-pedi’s and give them their second feline distemper booster shots. Such great babies!!

Mom L is promoting the four siblings using the theme—The Hole in the Wall Gang. Here are the graphics she created to make their marketing posters!

Tiffany did great at adoptions too. Not shy. Very loving. But sadly, no one to admire any of these great kitties. Remember what our pal Brian always says, “Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!”

Getting old ain’t easy

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

First lemme tell you, my friends, Mom L and I thought this post was gonna be a whole lot different than it is today. I know, I know—I missed my Friday Memes post. But I have a good reason. You see, I was at my regular Vet DVM place, but with a different Doc. This Doc was very good, except—the Doc forgot the “why” I was there and focused on my dismal sad, lethargic state and my whole senior cat history.

Well I can tell you! I cried, Mom L and Dad P cried! The Doc started to talk about…ahem, koff, koff…ya know…that “end of life” chat. That took the whole focus OFF the real health challenge I was brought in for. Mom L noticed that I had been going in and out and in and out of the litter boxes multiple times within one hour over a few days etc.

But the Doc focused on my senior ailments, and decided it was time to have the “talk” with Mom L and Dad P. Thank Ceiling Cat that Mom L and Dad P know me so well. They said “thank you” but we will get back to you. They left, having forgotten the “why” they brought me in the first place.

That night I literally went between two litter boxes THIRTY times!! Mom L knows, ‘cuz she was counting them and watchin’ over me. Thank Ceiling Cat again, Dad P and Mom L took me to a great emergency Vet hospital on Saturday at about 8 AM PDST.

My pals, I so wanted outta there!! We waited for over an hour in that little room. I know, yes…we could hear that there were several even more critical care needs for other woofies before they could get to me. I did try my best to find an escape route!!

Mom L and I were there for like five hours. But I went home with a urine draw done and a pawerful antibiotic for treating my suspected urinary tract infection. Fast forward to today, Sunday, May 29. I am peeing like a champ!!

And enjoying a bit of time with my nip rainbow! This kitteh may be seventeen years old, but she still has some moves left, by golly!!

Now to add to the state of health affairs for Sage and sweet Katie. Sage was at the Vet about ten days before me. She was not eating for like three days, vomiting bile, etc. Mom L suspects the evil IBD. But our Vet gave her some fluids AND cerenia, to calm her gut track that day. And TKS is back to her darling, always willing to eat anything self!!

And lastly, precious Katie has been back again for that horrible fungus that won’t let go of her claw sheaths. More than on Vet has suggested she might need her claw (s) removed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO SIREEE!!!!!!! That will not happen in her lifetime. Mom L and Dad P will catch her once a week to treat her affected claws, for the remainder of her life!!! KATIE WILL NOT HAVE HER CLAWS REMOVED!!!

So, that’s what’s happening over the last ten days or so in my castle. Let me know how you are all doing. We all know that gettin’ older is tough, but we can still be active kitties, loved by our humans!

We three girls in our castle

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I am, of course posting my Monday blog post late…sigh. But at least it is gonna be out there for any and all to take a look.

Moving on, I thought it has been a while since I shared some recent photos of me, Sage and Katie—living the good life in my castle.

I am first up, naturally, right?! You can see me visiting some of the volunteers who met in my castle to  plan for Delta View Cats’ inaugural fund raiser yard sale. I was upstairs napping and decided to go down for a snack. Wow! There was a meeting going on that I needed to get in there and snoopervise. In the past, I would not have joined in with all those strangers, but I went right over to my stairs, climbed up onto my couch and checked out Mr. Burt and Miss Shannon who were sitting there.

You will also see me hangin’ out under my tent on my bed when Miss Kandi was staying with us while Mom L and Dad P were away.

Next up is Sage aka The Kid Sage aka TKS. She is such a bootiful house panther. Sage and I have never been really close, but I know that she so loves to sit on Mom L’s lap and take a nap. This makes Mom L so very happy so’s that’s OK by me.

Now for Katie aka KK. She is such a cutie and she makes sure that Sage and I know she respects us. She and Sage play chase through the house, up and down the stairs and whatnot. One of her favorite things to do is hang from the stairs with her front legs hanging over and then she streeeeettttccchhhheeeesss our her front legs and spreads both her paws. You can just hear her toe knuckles cracking!!

Hope you enjoyed being a part of my castle world for a few moments. Thanks for sticking with me while Mom L and I try to figure out how to get about ten more hours in our day!!!
