New Places Bring New Behavior

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

It is true, at least for me…new places bring new behavior. And I am reluctant to say this…but perhaps having a partner makes new behavior easier…DO NOT QUOTE ME IN ANY BOOKS!!!

OK…so perhaps The Kid Sage has, well…ummmm…sort of inspired me to do things I never thought about doing before. Now I just said “PERHAPS”…so do not attribute all my current progress JUST to her hanging around my castle…na’mean??

So I don’t usually play ‘blanket cat’ much these days…although I certainly  did in my early days with Mom L and Dad P. Click here, Blanket Cat, and Blanket Cat Again to see my early days of being a “Blanket Cat”.

Wouldn’t  you know it; Dad P caught me at it again.

This is so cozy

This is so cozy

I really thought Mom L and Dad P were both gone…

What?

What?

Bummer luck…I was caught in the act of being a “Blanket Cat” by Dad P…but seriously…who cares? Right?

...zzzzzzzzz...

…zzzzzzzzz…

So have you ever been caught as a “blanket cat or woofie or bunny”???

Waiting Requires Cat Patience

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

This usually happens every single night. I have to do ‘drive bys‘ to get Mom L’s attention so she realizes “I” am ready for bed. (please forgive Mom L’s high pitched voice as she tries to tempt me to come back…sigh…she has required a lot of training)

What? Oh no, I do not require her to ‘tuck me in’…I just expect her to deliver my nightly ‘bedtime snack’ before I retire. Doesn’t every cat expect that??

Out new home has lots of levels and Mom L always has to come up from the living room to get to the kitchen, which means she must pass through the dining table level first.

You got it! I found a new spot to patiently await her decision to retire and serve me.

This dining table is hard but thankfully there is this nice table runner to lie on

So here I dig deeply for my feline patience…

What in Ceiling Cat's name is Mom L doing??? I am ready for bed!!

Finally she moves…

Well, you certainly took your time...

Well, you certainly took your time…

Of course I have to make sure she is actually ‘going to bed and will serve me my bedtime snack’…so eye contact is imperative.

You're sure Mom L? Honestly? Ok...then I'll meet you upstairs...bring the food

Humans…sigh…they require so much guidance.

This Cat Can Be Spontaneous

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Remember I told you a couple of weeks ago that we had a leak in our upstairs human toilet area? Well, they had to cut a great big hole in the ceiling of the office I share with Mom L, and finally last week, the workers arrived to repair it.

WHAT A LOT OF NOISE!!

I was chillin’ on my downstairs couch and finally, I couldn’t take it any longer…I quietly hopped off the couch and sort of ‘slithered’ upstairs low to the ground…na’mean? I was looking for a safe spot to hide out.

BUT WAIT!  Because all of you, my pals, have been cheering me on about getting braver and whatnot…as I arrived upstairs I saw a new hole in the wall and without any hesitation whatsoever…I stopped escaping and started exploring!

Hey, this is pretty nice

Hey, this is pretty nice

Of course I was busted immediately by Mom L with her iPhone.

Oh, hiya Mom. I was just checking out this closet

Oh, hiya Mom. I was just checking out this closet

I knew I needed to get down and out…but I AM certainly going to remember what nice soft beds are in that closet the next time I see it open…heh…heh…

Ok, ok Mom...I promise I didn't leave any of my furs behind

Ok, ok Mom…I promise I didn’t leave any of my furs behind

This may not seem like much to lots of my woofie and kitty pals, but the fact that I never missed a beat and just stopped right in the middle of escaping the workmen and their noise to do a bit of exploring…it’s a really BIG deal for me.
