Morning Routines Are Important

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I know I have shared the miraculous ‘Treat Pillow’ with you before… here and here. And it is a very important part of a routine Mom L and Dad P started to bring Sage aka TKS and I together. You see, we only get access to the ‘Treat Pillow’ if we are both considerate of one another’s space when we share the bed with Mom L during our morning routine of hanging out with her and Dad P while they watch the AM news on TV, read their iPad newspapers, and whatnot.

This has become so much of a routine expectation for both Sage and me that I now anticipate when Sage will make her move to get to the treats UNDER the Treat Pillow.

Go on Sage, make your move!

Go on Sage, make your move!

Of course, once I give her the ‘go ahead’ signal with my ‘look’…she knows she had best get moving.

MOUSES! HRH Savannah is soooo demanding

MOUSES! HRH Savannah is soooo demanding

I also  have to give Sage, aka TKS, encouragement once she makes her move.

Get going TKS...I don't want to wait all morning for the treats

Get going TKS…I don’t want to wait all morning for the treats

TKS gets the message and begins her unique extraction techniques…going for the gold!!!

*dig, scratch, dig, dig, scratch

*dig, scratch, dig, dig, scratch

Now she uses her unique ‘dumpster dive’ technique…she goes all in and head first!

*mpfh, mumpff, hufff*

*mpfh, mumpff, hufff*

And of course I am ever the model of total patience…

Hey TKS!? Aren't you there yet???

Hey TKS!? Aren’t you there yet???

And again as usual, TKS calls for the humans’ help…

Mom!!! Savvy is gonna whap me big time if I don't get to the treats NOW

Par for the course, Mom L lifts the Treat Pillow….

Hope you all have such exciting Morning Routines! Let me know in your comments.

Precious: A Brave Adult Rescue Cat in Recovery

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Actually, Mom L is the one who insisted on using the word “precious” in the title of my blog for Wednesday…*blushing*…that’s what she keeps saying about me…*bright red furry cheeks*

Mom L took the following two photos of me last night as I was just chill’axin’ on the couch with her. The caption on each photo is just my  Mom L sort’a ‘gushing’…sigh…

My precious sweet 'Nana'...why did she have to wait for over a year for her forever home?

My precious sweet ‘Nana’…why did she have to wait for over a year for her forever home?

Because…I was waiting for Dad P to find me and for Mom L to sing me into my recovery from trauma. And of course…my pink Jelly Bean toesies helped…

Don't you just wanna give those toesies a smoochie?

Don’t you just wanna give those toesies a smoochie?

Have a fantabulous Wednesday…and be sure to come back next week to find my give-away for that mystery house warming toy my former Cat Vet Doc Josie gave me! (click HERE in case you missed me trying it out).

What Is That Thing?!!!

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

As you all know, I am totally the Mistress of my own castle. Nothing enters without my being made aware. Except…

Yep, you got it; Mom L thought a little ‘surprise’ house warming gift from one of my many admirers…my former personal veterinarian Doc Josie, would be just the thing to keep me on my toes. pfffftttt!!!

As a senior adult rescue cat, I am not the least bit interested in ‘surprises’ nor the game of ‘boo’…more about that game later.

What in Ceiling Cat's name is THAT??!!!

What in Ceiling Cat’s name is THAT??!!!

As you can see, I am not impressed with the ‘unknown’ thingy you can barely see in the upper left corner of the above photo.

Come any closer and you will regret it!!

Come any closer and you will regret it!!

Mom L just kept on testing my emotional reserves…

You are pressing your luck you wicked 'house warming gift'!

You are pressing your luck you wicked ‘house warming gift’!

And then I could not take it any longer, I had to engage just a bit to test this thing’s endurance.

Come on...you are gonna be MINE!

Come on…you are gonna be MINE!

It jumped away quickly and I had to finally apply my “Twist, Flip and Kill” maneuver…it worked!!

You are gonna regret ever meeting my 'Paws of Doom'

You are gonna regret ever meeting my ‘Paws of Doom’

Please come back next week and I will introduce you to this “house warming gift” as a GIVE AWAY!!!
