Brekkies with Dad

I come to Dad efurry morning now when he calls me….sometimes I trot along behind him to the kitchen…

Then Dad gets my soft food from the fridge…he gives it a little ‘nuking’ in the microwave (Dad doesn’t think I should have to eat cold food…he’s soooo cute!)

Now I walk over to my food station with him, and I let him give me a pet or two while I start to eat…it is our growing morning ritual…and I luvluvluv it!

…yeah, yeah…I know I look like I am about to dash off…that’s ‘cuz I am…Mom was too noisy with that FLASH and CLICK so she almost missed the shot…at least ya get the idea…

  10. You are doing so good Savannah and that is the purrfect way to start any day!

  11. I luve my daddy too, it is good to have a daddy, mommies are good too but they do different stuffs wif us, like make V.E.T. and grooming appointments. Dads feed, play and pat. I am so happy for yous to have a good daddy.

    • Hiya Pluma! Dads are pretty special, huh?! They seem to do a lot of the ‘behind the scenes’ stuff for all of us…like my Dad always does my litter box cleaning…ya know like when he changes the litter…they pooper scoop…but Dad does the impawtant cleaning…give your Dad some paw pats from me…and then keep some for yourself…

  12. Teehee, what a great way to start the morning by getting a pat or two during meal time 😀 That’s a great shot, i’m glad Mom didn’t miss it!

Darling, It looks like the Daddy-training is going excellently well. I mean, teaching them to feed us is easy, but it’s a whole other challenge to have them master the use of the microwave in just EXACTLY the right amount to remove the chill but not have any burny places. He looks like he’s coming right along. I’m also pleased to see he doesn’t waste valuable time getting dressed or anything before he prepares the Kitty’s Breakfast.

Now, you need to work on your Mommy, because photos before breakfast is consumed should really be verboten.

    • Oh Spitty! You are so right…about the ‘no photos’ before brekkies. I heard Mom telling Dad…”honey, I think I want to get up in the middle of the night and take photos of Savvy sleeping with us…she is so cute!”…then Dad said something like…”are you kidding me! That is sooooo not happening to me and the Princess”…and that ended that discussion…go Dad!

  14. What you get wet food? Oh, you are soooo lucky, we just get yucky old dry food (okay, honestly, we get dry food because that is what we like best, but still it makes for a great sad sob story doesn’t it?)

    • well yeah…and My Mom and Dad have know for a long time that wet food is best for us kitties ‘cuz on dry food we always gain weight if our staff doesn’t really watch us. And I got a bad bladder infection from dry food…so now when I eat any at all, it is prescription. My fave Doc said raw or canned was best for me…personally, I think the ‘best’ is that we get to eat, perios. When I was on my own, getting that next meal was not easy, let me tell you!

  15. Savannah, you have wonderful people!

  16. Hi Savannah….having little “rituals” – things you can kind of count on – it’s a nice change from a life full of wondering what disaster will befall you next isn’t it?! When you’ve had a life full of unpleasant (often) surprises, knowing you can count on your Dad for brekkies is a REAL “gift” !!

    Kitty Hugs, Sammy

    • you are just always my wisest coach and furriend Sammy…you are so right. I have my silly quirks, but I know I am safe in this house and someone always comes by during the day to scratch my chin, talk softly to me…I am so happy

  17. You are a daddy’s girl just like me. Every morning I walk into the kitchen with my Pop.

  20. You are about as spoiled as I am sweetie. M & D used to try to nuke my soft food too, but then I refused to eat it for sure – even if they only gave it a couple of seconds. Now they give it to me and I let it warm up about 10 minutes before I eat it. Are we fussy or what?
