Friday Planning…Sort Of…
Hiya!! Savannah Here!
Well it is Friday, and we have lots to do today to plan for my blog for the next couple of days. Mom and Dad are going on a one night “Get Away”…yep, they are…aaaaggggaaaiiiinnnnnn…sigh…
I know, I know…it’s only one night…only 24 hours…and I have Auntie Shannon to stay with me and play with me…but I miss my huMom’s special head massages and I miss my huDad’s special way he nukes (microwaves) my wet food if it has been in the fridge…no one does it just like Dad, not even Mom.
Anywho…Mom came looking for me after she finished her spin class at the gym and got a little hair trim for the event they are going to on Saturday night.
Mom: “Savannah??…hey honey…where are you???…Savannah??…oh there you are little girl…”
“…Mom…can’t you see I was resting??…what do you want??…”
…Mom: “we need to talk about what you want to say on your blog on Caturday and Sunday?…we need to plan so I can take notes and get it drafted for your approval…come on Savvy…just a little time won’t kill you…”
…Savannah: “I’m really tired…I had a tough day yesterday…remember??…I upchucked that new canned food you gave me?…let me rest some more….”
…Mom: “Savannah…pay attention!”…Savannah: “OK!!! Alright already!…don’t whinge!!…just a minute…(opens mouth wide, big yawn…)…ok…”
…Mom: ” well thanks a lot young lady!!…you can at least pay atten…..SAVANNAH!!!…what are you doing??”…Savannah: “can’t you see…right here on my hind leg…some fur is out of place…just a minute…lick, lick…nudge, nudge…”
…Savannah: “Ok…I think I got it…now what were you saying??…”
…Savannah: “ooopps…’scuse me…I can feel something on my face…lemme just do a quick face wash…hang on Mom…I’ll be right with ya…”
…Mom: “SAVANNAH!!…don’t you dare go back to sleep!…there is planning to do….”…Savannah: “…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…”
If I don’t have a post for Caturday or Sunday, you all know why…napping always comes before, during and after planning!! Surely we can teach our staff about this concept…right??

Oh Savannah…..alone again huh? Well, you can always “pay them back” when they return with another “protest puke” of your food!! 😀 Seriously though, no matter how hard we try to make our humans realize the importance of napping (certainly takes precedence over something BORING like planning!) they just don’t seem to get it do they! Well, have fun while they are away Savannah. Oh – I also got my book in the mail and Mom has promised to read me the stories tonight in bed. YAY! Thank you and your parents SO MUCH for this lovely gift!

Well, I say: How DARE they? Don’t they understand that they have **responsibilities** now? They can’t just run off gallivanting around the Bay and ABANDON you to the care of Cod only know who! “Auntie Shannon“–Oh, like SHE knows all your secret needs??? As if! Listen, I’ll come ofur as soon as they leave, and we can hold paws and groom each other till those gadflies you call Pawrents return. And then we’ll just SEE if you want to go cuddle with those traitors.

Well, it is true Spitty…Auntie Shannon doesn’t KNOW ALL my secrets and special places I like to be scritched and rubbed..but she does try. totally!! sheesh!!! She is wringing her hands worried about the blog! Silly human! Well, it’s obvious to me that Savannah is letting you know what it feels like to be ignored. After all, you’re leaving her and going away to let her fend on her own — we all know babysitters are never as quick to hop to it when you need something.
Mom knows I am not happy…I am staying on the Bird Watching Tower…we haven’t played today…I know she is getting that black bag ready…ugh!
