Searching For Sun Puddles…
Hiya! Savannah Here!
It’s such a busy day…but I wanted you all to know I have been doing research, for weeks now. The research is ongoing (VBP)…I still have lots more to do…but so far…this is the outcome in my research on…
WHERE OH WHERE ARE THE BEST SUN PUDDLES IN MY NEW HOME???
…first I found this one trying to get away from me on our bed…I practically had to hang my head off to catch a teeny drop of that sun puddle…
…thank Ceiling Cat…I managed to trap most of this one under me and so I had a good nap in it…
…this one is a totally new one I just found last week…Dad raised the shade WAY UP HIGH on this big tall window…I like to get on this window sill to watch the bird TV outside…but look what I found hiding on the stairs behind the shade when it was down…this SUN PUDDLE…shines right on my stairs!!!…
…then it gets even brighter as the sun moves…
…and of course the furry furst ones I found were in our living room by the big door…
…I have tried these sun puddles in several positions…
…but you can see…so far…the bestest sun puddles are still hanging out in my living room…
I will keep up my research and get back to you with more reporting on where else I find SUN PUDDLES in my new home….
Paw pats, Savannah
Sun puddles are most definitely Mother Nature’s gift to us kitties….we do love our sun…..and the fine art of figuring out WHERE in our houses to be at WHAT time is something we are masters of!
Holiday hugs, Sammy
I had to get on top of Dad’s pillow this afternoon, on the corner of it, just to catch a sun puddle for my early afternoon nap! MOL
I thought I replied…hmmm…will do it again then…I am upstairs right now for my early afternoon nap…I found a sun puddle on Dad’s pillow on the corner. I captured it under me and I am warm and snoozing, paw hugs Sammy, from Savannah
A sunbathing Kitty nothing cuter except a snoozing bunny
I bet you look so sweet snoozing Speedy! do you curl up like me?

Oh, it looks like you have a LOT of warm, inviting sun puddles in the new place. I like the one on the quilt on the bed. I’m going to go look for one on our bed … it just looks soooooo comfy!
Is your mom a quilter? Ours is! Have we had this talk before? (Mom’s losing her mind.)
Play bows,
Z-man
I think we did talk quilts Z-man. At least the Moms did. Mine does NOT quilt, but has about 15 from her Dad’s side of family and some her own Mom did. SHe thinks a couple may be late 1890’s. I don’t get to nap on “those” quilts…just the store bought bedspread one
I love your sun puddle pictures, your coat looks so beautiful ;o)
Easy, you are such a kind furriend to say such nice things…I never get tired of seeing your shining furrs for sure!
Good job on finding sun puddles. I am very afraid we are not going to have any today as it is over cast and gray here. ~Scylla
SCYLLA!!! Hi!! How are you?? How is the weight loss program coming? I think it must be hard when you don’t go out for your garden walks and exploring. I miss seeing you in the butterfly house, paw pats, Savvy
You have plenty, at home we have none this time of the year.
sorry about that Doggy, I bet you like a good sun puddle to dry your furrs off when you have been swimming!
It’s hard work finding them so well done.
yes, yes, I am so glad you realize my sacrifice in time and energy…and I must sample each one I find to make sure it is an actual sun puddle and not just some old light mascarading as one
Don’t wear yourself out with all this research – be sure to spent some time just relaxing! You are so lucky you still have sun puddles, I am looking at frosty and brr *sad eyes*
yes, I know it is not sun puddle weather where you are, not for a long while…patience my good furriend
aaaaaaaaaaaaah, aren’t sun puddles a wonderful thing?
by the way, you look very beautiful in those pictures, miss Savvy!
oh Jay!! HI!! So happy to be hearing from you again. And your compliment is too kind…blushing…
I loves sun tanning too!:)
Cotton
Hi Cotton! You be careful, cuz you are so white you can sunburn!! You need to use sunscreen with SPF 50!
Lots of sun puddles
waves to Zena, HI! Do you like sun puddles to Zena?? You have to be careful with your bootiful furrs oh they might sun burn and get dark red
Hey Savvy, Jetty here. Hi Miss LInda.
We admire your thorough research… perhaps you can publish soon in Feline Journal of Science???
ohhh good idea Jet-man!! oh hey! and Miss Lori, with your expert help of course, can edit for me!!
Great research, Savy! It it impawtant for us kittehz to know where the best ones are at all times. We has lots of sunpuddles, but it is cold outside! Stay warm, pretty girl!
not sure where you are Prancer Pie, but you are correct, however we can get sun puddles, fantasmik! paw pats Savannah
Our SunPuddles Move! In the winter, they is on the south side of the house and in the summer they is on the North side of the house and in the Spring and fall we don’t has too many. We never rally has any in the living room… Me thinks the best ones are in the winter as that is when we is inside and needs them!
Kisses
Nellie
wherever you have them is always special! paw pats, Savvy
Savannah, you know that Phantom is very old and we think that means he is also very wise. He says there isn’t any such thing as a bad sunpuddle. Just find all the ones you can and enjoy them:)
Woos – Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
ok, now Mom has even MORE leaky eyes…we know Phantom is elderly…and we have just been feeling the journey of sweet Rusty over at Thundering Herd…and truth…Mom knows Phantom is feeling his years…and also…you as huFamily know the joy of his life…hug him tight, give him every sun puddle you can find…and I would send him all of mine if I could, paw hugs, Savannah
Savvy, our house is ‘passive solar’ (I think that would be good for VBP) so we get sun puddles a lot. Mummy Janey say she need shades in the kitchen in the winter…she goes all squinty!
The Maple Syrup Mob xxxx
whoa! first, you are spot on about VBP…more about that in January, and interesting about the ‘passive solar’…we can’t do anything about our power now because we ‘rent/lease’ our home…Mom and Dad would have done something different if they were able to keep their last home….good for you, paw pats Savannah
I think you have found some really good ones so far, happy sunpuddling pretty Savannah!
well Brian, same back to you and the Sisters! paw pats, Savvy
You are so pretty laying in the sun. Alas, I don’t have ANY sunpuddles in our condo. It faces north and east so the only time we have a little sun is when the peeps are asleep. I don’t know what they made them buy this dreary place.
bummer Keisha!! I am really sorry you are in short supply of sun puddles…hop in the Fast Leopard Teleport Tunnel and come on over, I will share my sun puddles with you gladly! Not my Mom, but my sun puddles…MOL
Excellent research there Savvy! Keep up the good work!
I try hard Misaki, and I know sun puddles are not as easy to find where you live! MOL play bows and paw pats, Savvy
Ummm Savannah you going to be finding and losing sunpuddles for the next 10 months (think you have been in your new home about 2 months?) as I’ve found the winter sunpuddles disappear and then autumn, summer and finally sprin sunpuddles. Could you please tell this very ingnorant Australian cat … what does VBP mean? xxx’s
heh…heh…well Jessie and Janey, me and a couple of paw blog furriends are going to launch a new challenge to all paw bloggers in January and those letters stand for “Vocabulary Building Project”…we have been working this for months now! We have protocols if others want to join in the challenge and a really cool badge to show on your blog page if you want to let others know you have joined in our new challenge. It will be ongoing for as long as anyone wants. We three have been doing it for months now between each other and decided to offer it to our blogging furriends. That’s all I can tell you now…paw pats, Savannah
HuMum says I need to extend my vocabulary as I apparently only use 4 and 5 letter words like meow and miaow (which is meow with an Aussie accent) so look forward to the challenge
LMFBO!! (laugh my furry b…. off)…I am sure it is the Aussie accent!!!
That’s a pawesome sun puddle collection you have there!!
Thank you again for the amazing Secret Paws gifts. We’re still unwrapping them. And hiding tissue paper from the humans.
squeeeeee!!! You got it!!! Oh Thank Ceiling Cat!!! I was getting worried cuz I did not see a post on Secret Paws and had not heard from you…whew! Send me some photos if you have time! paw hugs and Happy Happy Catmouse!! Savannah
I just read your bloggy posts…TWO…and another one for tomorrow!!! How cool!!! I can’t follow you without follow by email button…is there and I can’t see it???
Just wait until summer. That’s when my favorite sun puddle appears just after noon and last until the last rays disappear from the western sky. Sadly, this time of year they are short but oh so sweet. Enjoy your sun puddles, Savannah.
Purrs to you,
Mistletoe & Hitch
Hi Mistletoe and Hitch!! I am really working hard to find sun puddles because our new home has lots of BIG trees, which keep the sun away from inside…but I am trying, paw pats, Savvy
It’s nice to have such a good choice!
Hi Clowie!! I think it is great to have SO MANY choices and I don’t even think I have found them all just yet…
you have graduated with honors from your studies! You have found the BEST sun puddles for sure!
Oh hi Cody!! I think there are still some hiding from me…runs off to find more sun puddles
Yup, searching for sun puddles is certainly a full time job!
and I am just the kit-kat to take it on Rocco!
Well Savvy, your sure have those sun puddles down to a tea 🙂 We haven’t had any of those for a while 😦 It’s freezing in the UK .. xx00xxYour Alf
Mollie and Alfie
awwww…Alf, I am so sad to hear that…want me to send some to you through my Fast Leopard Tunnel???? peeEss Dad dropped a little something for you in the mail, now not a Christmouse prezzie, it’s “just ‘cuz I luv ya”…let me know when you get it
That is the most important part of adjusting to a new home – finding out where all the good sun puddles are!
working on it Sparkle, working hard on it! MOL
That is one good thing to do research on. We don’t have many sun puddles in our house. But it sure looks like you have some mighty good ones. We just might have to come visit you.
waving paw to “come on over”…lots to share
