Monday Meowsie News…
HIYA!!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!
See, I told you I’d be back real soon, huh?! I’m going to post every Monday and Thursday and then a couple more times when I have stuff to meow about…that’s my plan for now…hope you will check me out again in the coming days and weeks…sooooooo….
I just needed a bit of time to rest my paws and give Mom some luvs too…we have had people over for noms and I even came out and played with Dad when one lady human was here. First time ever that I joined Mom and Dad and a visitor…and then I actually stayed to play for like 20 minutes!!
I am gettin’ so much more brave.
So, here’s somethin’ else to CELEBRATE…remember I told ya I used to luvluvluv my Bird Watching Tower at our old home??? I played on it a lot with Mom and stuff.
Then when we moved I didn’t play on it, but I did take a nap here and there…that was last Fall…
…see…there I am enjoying a nice sun puddle…
Well, then Catmouse came along…and this thingy called a “tree” came into the same room…and it made itself at home right there next to my Bird Watching Tower…not a good thing, no sirree…not a good thing at all…see how my tower is sort’a crammed against that window…brrrrrrrr…I never went back to my tower again. Nope, not ever again since Catmouse was over and the tree was moved back to its box…
Oh, Dad moved it around and stuff…but I never even gave it a sniff; let alone get on it.
So, they moved it to the landing on the second floor thinkin’ maybe I would like it up there…right next to a nice big window that looks out on the tree tops…they said “Great bird and squirrel TV Savvy”…yeah, right! NOT!
Nope, I stayed away from that Bird Watching Tower (BWT).
Then, Mom got an idea. She took a great big towel and made me a TENT!!! ON MY BIRD WATCHING TOWER!!! (thank you Sammy for teaching Mom about cats and tents!!)
Check it out…nice, huh?!
Well, Mom and Dad went to bed…and when Dad got up…he found me…
All Mom had upstairs was her iPad but she got a shot of me all snuggled down in my THIRD FLOOR on my BWT! I didn’t even look up…Mom was able to run downstairs and get her camera…and I NEVER EVER MOVED!
…then I had to give her a little glare…enough was enough already!!
I mix up which tent I sleep in..sometimes the one in our bedroom…
…and sometimes in my BWT…this is making my life way more fun I can tell you!!!
Hope lots of you have noticed I have been around to visit…I still have lots more catchin’ up to do…but I am starting to use my paws to get around to visit you all…luvluvluv each and every one of you…

We have a tree we don’t like either. Well, we sit on it a bit, but we like our old one much better! And the new one has cubby holes! Junior would hide in those sometimes…..but not the rest of us!
well, I only get in the BWT ‘cuz there is a tent…not sure I would use it if there wasn’t…just sayin’

Boy, you’ve good a lot of good news to share today. Suddenly we have so much to post about that we don’t have time to write it all up. We can either write or visit. Sad, isn’t it.

Great idea with that tent – see you just needed a bit more privacy. We are happy to hear that you also came out to visit with Mom’s visitor. Sometimes being brave just takes time. Lightning is slowly learning that some strange things are A-OK.

Your beans got smart on where to put the cat condo and the blankie helps. You aren’t so exposed.
my blankie did the trick D&D. I have no problem getting up there now and hanging out. I even let Mom AND Dad pet me whenever they walk past and I am in my BWT

oh I just know you will luvluvluv having a tent Katie Isabella, you and I share a bit of anxiety I think and I find it very comforting to be able to feel safe, yet I can always see out to make sure no one sneaks up on me and stuff…they really are very easy to make and take no time whatsoever! HONEST!

That is awesome that your humans were able to figure out (with Sammy’s help) how to make you happy with your cat tree again! None of us here are big tent kitties, but I know those who are REALLY love it!
I think I feel really secure inside my tents…who knows what Summer temps will make me do…

ummm..well, I guess so…first you like find a place that you can hang a towel or blankie across…so it makes like this darker open place under it…but it must have a way in and out…then you make it that same way every single day until it gets used…there! how’s that?

yup! you know Sage, we have to keep the peeps guessing about why we do or don’t do stuff…that way they keep on trying new things and making new tents and buying new toys…heh…heh…too bad they don’t have a clue that it all in the TYHM (Training Your Human Manual) we all get when we are born

Hi Savannah! It’s good to here about you taking time to greet a stranger visiting your house. Hitch always checks out visitors here but he has a strict no touch policy. I sometimes will greet a visitor that’s been here before. It’s gratifying to see how honored they are when I give them an audience. I’m sure your visitor is still talking about how you graced her with your presence.

A tent!! What a great idea!! I’ll have to see if Grace and boys would like that … or even just Grace! The boys tend to snooze together, and I just think that sometimes Grace needs a place that only SHE would like. Thanks for the terrific idea!

Oh Savvy I’m so happy you’re loving your tower AND your tents! Tents are the very best…..! Also, congratulations for actually coming out with a stranger visiting….even after all these years (13 of them in fact!) I still don’t do that. I hide until people leave. My Auntie Carol is the only person I will actually come out of my basement to see when she’s here – – – she’s known me since I first came to live here. So you’ve REALLY made a lot of progress – you’re relaxing not just at home with your parents but now with visitors too! YAY!
