Lots to Appreciate…even my garden

I always have problems keeping my Thankful Thursday post down to a dull roar…na’mean??

There just always seems so much to share with you all about the stuff I am so appreciative of…but I’ll save some of it for next time…here we go…

First, I am so grateful that Ray Charles and Rachel will have a nice size brand new hand crocheted blanket to curl up on, next to each other, for naps. We have another addition to the Hope Chest for Rachel and Ray Charles…(scroll over the photos for captions)

Miss Julie, from Hazel Lucy’s Tranquility Blankets,  is contributing a larger-sized Hazel Lucy blanket and some matching crochet collars for both kitties!:)

Next, for those of you who don’t use Twitter…our sweet Mimi, aka Mary aka MJ, in England is settling into her new home and getting along great with her new Dad and brofur Jazz…here they are playing like crazy pants with their new Nip N Nap mats made by Mollie and Alfie’s Mum Miss Stella…you simple MUST visit her shop!

You can check in with Mimi and Jazz on Twitter…@JazzandMimi

I can’t let this Thankful Thursday go by without sharing something totally special that happened between me and Mom after she and Dad came back from a little get-away…only gone 400 4 days…but I made sure to let Mom know how much I missed her…and I haven’t stopped yet…!!!!

I have not snuggled right next to Mom…against her leg…on the couch for over a year…and the second night she was back…I sucked my body right up as close as I could get next to her on the couch while we watched TV and she gave me the bestest ever head rubs…(sorry for the blurry images but Mom was only able to grab Dad’s mobile to take these)…

With all this good stuff going around…it’s impawsible to not feel hugely thankful.  I appreciate Pepi Smart Dog for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop…check out HERE for more wonderful posts…

I didn’t really have a garden report last week for my furriend Jonesie…so I sent Mom out to take some shots of our new garden flag out front and snaps of some of the roses and other flowers we still don’t know the names of…MOL…

Hope you like my garden report…

    Lub Nylablue xo

  6. Is that a purple clamatis?? Not sure about the spelling. TW had those in the nice garden. Maybe more pics coming Sunday. Glad you like those scritchies. I kinda let TW do that to me too when I’m sleeping.

  7. Savvy, so much to be thankful for! We ‘specially like how you are enjoying snuggling with your peeps.

  8. Happy snuggles sweet girl! Ray and Rachael will bring lots of smiles and love in their Hope Chest too.

  9. So much to be thankful for. We are very lucky kitties indeed.
Lots of big PURRS for Rachel & Ray. We hope they find a new home together very soon.

  10. those of us with forever homes have plenty to be thankful for. headrubs while the humans are watching tv seem to be the best.

  11. There IS a lot to be grateful for, isn’t there? Now if only Rachel and Ray would find their home!

  12. Mummy say’s the yellow one looks like a Calla lily, the red one is a Hibiscus and the purlpe blue one it a Clematis and of course we love your rose but mumy said she was stumped one the other one.good news about Mimi,xx Speedy

  13. That’s a whole LOT of stuff for which to be thankful. WOW! Such great stuff happenin’ around and about you. FANTASTIC!

Bit of sad news, however… You’re gonna have to add the yellow flower to the do-no-know list. Not a lily, I’m afraid. Might have lily in the common name. Not sure ’bout that. But definitely not a true lily. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Forgive me?

    • I’m not sure if that yellow flower is a lily – it looks more like a hibiscus to my human. But according to the ASPCA’s site, they aren’t good for kitties either. My human never lets flowers in the house except for roses, which she knows are okay if we happen to taste them!

      • very smart…we don’t have flowers in often…and I never ever get near them but never ever do we have any lilies at all. The yellow on isn’t a hibiscus because it is growing from sort of strappy leaves like a day lily plant…but it has itty bitty spots on it…Mom just found it MOL

    • no problem, Sparkle thought it was a hibiscus. But it grows from strappy leaves like a day lily. But it is small and has sort of orange itty bitty spots on the petals. What is that other one we asked about…it is really strange

  15. Savannah those are all fabulously wonderful things to be thankful for! We always love reading each of your posts for all of your uplifting and powerful messages of inspiration!

    • oh Angel Abby, you are just too too kind…I worry that my posts are to long, not reader numbers are so down since I stopped posting every day…sigh…but I just can’t do that anymore; the typist is too busy

  16. Yesterday, we got all muddled and called Cathy Keisha, Savannah, so we should probably call you C.K, but we seem a little more clear headed today, so we don’t plan to make that mistake. Ray and Rachel’s Hope Chest is sure growing. We just don’t get why these two sweet babies have not been snapped up. Cuddling up to your mom and getting all those scritches looks wonderpurr. We are sure she loved it as much as you did. So, so much for which to be thankful. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  21. What a pawesome positive Thursday Savvy! You’ve made me smile! =^.^=

  22. It’s so wonderful to hear that MJ is doing well in her forever home. We’re sure that the same kind of wonderful forever home is out there for Ray Charles and Rachel, too!

  23. So much lovely kitty news!!

  24. Good job with the cuddling, Savvy! I wonder who liked it better – you or Mom! Cuddling is fun.

    Love and licks and cuddles,

  25. Hi Savvy! Looks like you have a lot to “crow” about in the thankful department and certainly the progress you’ve made with your Mom and Dad in the snuggle department is a BIGGIE. So is knowing MJ is happy in her new home and that the hope chest for Rachel and Ray is bigger than ever. Next: a forever home then all will be well for them we’re sure. Your garden flowers are beautiful – ours are all dried up and gone for this season already!

    Kitty Hugs, Sammy
