Savannah's Paw Tracks

Autobiography of a Former Shelter Cat

Friday Frolics…Sage Style

Ummm…errrr…*shy peek around Dad’s shoulders*…

There!! I did it!! I started a blog post ALL ON MY OWN!!!  I must thank Her Royal Highness Savannah (HRHS) for providing me this opportunity…I may not get many as she has yet to decide if I can stay…but I am very hopeful…*sigh*

I thought I would just share with Nana’s readers…(yes, she is often called ‘Nana’ by both Dad and Mom)…some of my frolics this week.  It took Dad a bit of time to figure out how to run the video part of Nana’s camera…but I think maybe he did an OK job…what do you think???

I so love to play and chase stuff…and I am still very hopeful that HRHS will learn I mean her no harm.   HRHS is very, very afraid of other cats, and people…I am so blessed that my early months were clearly spent with a very loving and caring huFamily…I know they just could no longer keep me and my sisfur Rosemary…you see…they became homeless, living on the street and so they left me and Rosemary in a box at a Pet Supply Store in Northern California…they did the best they could for us.

Ok…I have to go now…I hope you like my video…

Head bumps, Sage

  1. Sage, excellent video! You are keeping the pawrents busy the RIGHT way! I hope Savvy says you can stay, too! I know your hoomans adore you, that’s plain to see!

Oh Sage! You are adorable! Of course I must say that because you look JUST LIKE ME! You look like you are having tons of fun–that is a sad story about your first family, and we will purray they are doing better now.

Savannah, My sweet darling! We are so ashamed we have been soooooooooooo bad about visiting for the last few months. The Human just thinks she’s so “busy” and *I* (who should be FIRST on her agenda!) keep getting pushed down the list! I am glad your Humans finally came home to you after being gone for about six years, and I am glad you came through your dental work so well. You look very smexay in your photos! I am trying to make the Human promise she will do better with the visiting and she SAYS she will, but you know how unreliable they are! The Human is hoping maybe she can come visit you (and that nasty intruder cat too) sometime during Easter break 😉 XOXOXOXO

Purrs from the Zee and Zoey Gang!

  6. We commented on your post?!?!?!?!? What happened?!?!?! We think you are awesome Sage, totally beautiful. Take the boss one paw step at a time, these things take time Sage. HRHS needs a lot of space and I KNOW you are so darned curious 🙂 Give Miss Savvy space, she will warm in time!

  7. Sage it’s a blast to see you in action! We hope HRHS will simply learn to ignore you…and you can stay.

  8. Sage, my housekeeper says she is exhausted just watching you be so peppy. We’re more the relaxing kind here at the house. She is looking forward to seeing you when she comes to dinner, however, no matter how peppy you are. Your friend Dinah RWB (reader without blog.)

  9. You are a very playful kitty Sage. We thinks Savvy, or Nana will let you stay.

  10. Hi Intruder, I mean Sage. You certainly are energetic. You should have seen ME playing at 2 am after I finished singing the song of my people as loud as I could. Er, what have you done with Savannah?

  11. You are very playful in your video, S. And quick as a little bunny. We’re also hoping that HRHS will play with you sometime soon.

    Love and licks,

  14. Sage, you really know how to frolic! We sure hope you can stay too…and Savvy will frolic with you one day.

We love watching you playing, Sage ! We hope that “Nana” will accept you soon ! Purrs

  16. Well, look at you doing a post!
You know we call you Suckup Sage right? Well, you need to kinda suck up to Miss being quiet and still in her regal presence…that doesn’t mean sneaky sneaking up on her while she is napping or anything. How about some slow blinks at her? Or bowing when she walks past…that sort of thing…just do your best,OK?
The REAL Maple Syrup Mob xxxxx

  17. Wow Sage you sure are one happy playful kittygirl….Nylablue & I hope Savannah gets used to you & accepts you into *her* realm! She & Nylablue are alot alike & it will take time for her to relax…do not give up hope!
    Savannah you are doing better….kitten steps… 😉
    Love Sherri-Ellen & Nylablue xoxoxo

  18. Hi Sage! I think Nana did the honourable thing letting you share a bit of HER blog time! She’s not so bad you know and now she’s had a her manky old molar removed she might be a bit less grumpy! 😉 MOL

PeeEss I think you are very sylph like and agile in your video 🙂 xx

    • Waving paws! Oh thank you for your encouragement. We are all hoping it works over next month or so…and we have not visited your blog for a long time but we have been enjoying seeing Vidock and Violette on FB. Such beautiful Percherons!

That was very good Sage and right to the point

  25. Sage you are Oscar’s twin LOL

  26. Sage I’m always happy when I see your ears, they look so fabulous! I bet HRHS must laugh too as she saw you in the video :o) And if I could make a wish, then I would wish that no one will be homeless. I feel sorry for your hufamily, that’s such a bad thing when you have no home…

    • I know. Mom and Dad found out by calling the phone number on my microchip. They had enough money to get me spayed and chipped, but by the time they lost their home, they didn’t have enough to spay and neuter my twin sister Rosemary but our rescue took care of that for her. Anyway, Dad called the number and talked to my ” before” Mom…she was sad…but told him the street was no place for us girls to live. So we are going to keep trying to help HRHS accept me and become comfortable and feel safe in my presence

  27. Oh Sage you did great, we just loved your video. We hopes Savannah will discover how nice it is to have a sister soon. ~Scylla

  28. Oh wow Sage!!!! So nice to read what you have to say!!!! I sure hope you get to stick around! Nothing could be better then coming by this blog and reading both Savvy and your posts!!!! Kitty heaven or what?!?!
((husky hugz frum our pack at love is being owned by a husky))

P.S I have a question for woo……I noticed your blog has tags, how do I make it so I can have tags also? Thanks guys!

  29. Own! Sage! I love!

Sage darling, you are a beautiful girl and I feel sure that when enough time elapses, Savvy will become more accepting. She may be able to concentrate on what would have happened if her mommy and daddy didn’t become YOUR mommy and daddy as well. XXOO to you BOTH.

  31. Hi Sage! Great to hear from you! Keeping paws crossed that HRHS will allow you to stay! Your video was wonderful. Looks like you are outgrowing your turtle shell though.
    Paw Pats

  32. We didn’t know about your family history, Sage. We’re sorry to hear that, but we can see that you are hard at work earning Savvy’s acceptance.

  33. Lovely video! Hope you two are slowly starting to get along!!

  34. Hello Sage! You seem like such a sweetie, I hope Savvy decides to like you soon! I think it would do her some good to have a girl kitty to play with and chat with and maybe even snuggle sleep with!

  35. Sage, you are a very sweet and fun girl! I really hope Savannah comes to realize that you are just a silly kitty who enjoys life and accepts you!

  36. Tuxicat on said:

Hi Savannah and Sage! I have a housemate named Sage who is bigger than me, so I am partial to cats named Sage! Mom loves black cats and says you and Sage should get along well too, Savannah! Good luck and love! Love, Tuxi

  37. Sage, you look like a young cat with a lot of energy to spend. I hope your humans spend a lot of time playing you tired … and after that rejoin you and Savy. Thus you might not be overly tempted to chase your foster sister again …

  38. mistletoeandhitch on said:

Sweet Sage, you’re a lovely kitty and our fingers and paws are crossed that HRHS will learn that you are not a threat. You did an awesome job starting today’s blog. While we love Savannah, we hope we get to see you regularly. After all, the world needs more beautiful, black, lady cats speaking out and making sure the world isn’t overrun by obnoxious boy cats who think they know everything. (pointed look at Hitch, who is looking at the crystal sun catcher, oh so innocently) Don’t believe any gossip who might suggest I’m bias due to being a black cat myself. He’s just jealous because he can’t hide in the dark as well as we can.
    Purrs for now,
    Mistletoe & Hitch

    • Waving paws…Hi Mistletoe! Savvy here…The Kid did Ok…I sure hope I can become as brave as you…I don’t know how you have managed to accept not only the ginger twins but that boy cat Hitch as well…of course, he is rather handsome as he is a gray and white Tuxie like me

  39. Oh Sage good girl! and what a clever spring loaded kitty you are! I do hope Savvy learns to work you out…it may take time but everything comes to he who waits…I hope 🙂 such a sad way to find a new home and your first family must have been so devastated to not only lose their home but the most precious thing of all the wonderful kitties they called family…getting leaky eyed here as I cannot imagine being in that position..i hope they find their feet again and I am glad you found yours….I had a lovely sheepie called Rosemary and I lost her and her baby Basil…I hope you and Sage work out your places together 🙂 hugs Fozziemum xx

  40. Great video, Sage! You did a wonderful job on the post, and we hope you do lots more of them.
    Have a super Friday!

Waving paw...HI!...what'd 'cha think...??
