Friday Memes Back Again

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

We weren’t sure we could bring my Friday Memes to you ‘cuz Mom L is still workin’ on that “verteego” thing. But here we are and I hope you get your Friday smile going!

My pal the Princess Erin, is always a great addition to my Friday Memes. Clearly Princess Erin enjoys her outdoor life, but then again—maybe not all that she sticks her tongue into!! MOL!!

I can’t seem to get enough of my Reader Without A Blog, from Miss Dorothy. Her senior cat, Hitch, continues to provide lots of humor!

And last but of course NEVER LEAST—Yours truly—ME!!

Yeah, yeah…I know that many of my pals can totally relate to my personal meme. Heck, I used to like never ever have my toesies sticking out when I hop into my cat tree tunnel. But there you have it—I simply cannot hide in there anymore.

I sure do hope you are all smiled now after taking a look at my Friday Memes. Let me remind you that we are still hoping to find our sweet foster kitty Kit Katie her forever home.

Please share the links to her adoption sites and host her badge on your blog until she finds her forever home. I will be posting an update about Katie’s recent Vet visits and what X-Rays have shown about her right front leg limp.

And the beat goes on—

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Now don’t get fooled to thinking that I am loving how this “beat” keeps going on—’cuz I’m not. You know how much I luvluvluv my personalized tent, right? Well, you can see that I am now spending my daytime nap time in Alfie’s bed under a bench!! Sheesh!!

I didn’t even bother getting outta my Alfie bed when Dad P loaded up Kit Katie (KK) to take her to Petco adoptions with Community Concern For Cats (CC4C). Most of the public stopping by the cats up for adoption are asking “where are the kittens?” so there is pent up desire for kittens which keeps families disinterested in even young adults like KK.

KK spent Saturday and Sunday at Petco. Not loving it at all. KK is in the top cage.

I’m gonna watch the street because people scare me

Finally she did turn around to check out what all the commotion was.

Who the heck let these humans in here?

Toward the end sweet KK crept even closer to the front almost as though she knew that she just might find her forever family.

Hey? Wanna take me home with you?

Beyond the nerve wracking time spent at adoptions, KK has been keeping all of us entertained. Mom L was not, and still isn’t, well. She is having her first ever horrible experience with positional vertigo. She spent a good bit of time in bed after being at emergency earlier last week. After a long nap, Mom L woke to find KK right next to her, me at her feet not far from KK and TKS was next to her head on the other pillows. Yes, we were all right there doing our best nurse duty.

Everybody shape up! Mom L needs us!

And yesterday, KK gave Mom L a total fright. She did what not even TKS has done since we moved here. She jumped from the staircase landing bench to the TOP of the curio cabinet!! Limpy leg and all!!

Wow!!! That was fun!!

Needless to say, Mom L was not amused!

Thank you all for your many kind words of comfort to Mom L on her Facebook post about her vertigo episode. She continues to experience it and is not a happy camper to say the least.

Friday Memes From Our Cat Colony

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

First I gotta let you all know that Mom L and I are so very sorry we could not post on Monday. Sunday was the year’s second SNIP Clinic and Mom L and Dad P both worked the clinic in the morning. Then Mom L took Katie to Petco adoptions ‘cuz Dad P had his turn the day before. Mom L could not lift her thumbs to type for me.

And today, she is not over her six hour visit to Emergency hospital on Tuesday night when she suffered a severe unexpected vertigo attack. Never ever never happened before and caught her and Dad P off guard. We kitties spent Wednesday and Thursday in bed with her…yes…I mean “all” three of us.

Mom L is the bump in the middle

The next day the tent came down and you can’t see TKS, but she is right up by Mom L’s head. I allowed Kit Katie to get on the bed closest to Mom L as this was her first time serving Nurse duty.

Ok KK, you take good care of Mom L

We hope to be back again with full health next week. But for now, here are a couple of memes I created for your Friday Smiles. The first kitty is from the SNIP clinic Mom L worked with Dad P this past Sunday.

Calico girl going in for spay at SNIP clinic…not happy!

Miss Cali gal was whacking the trap when anyone came near her! She was very feisty but now she will never have to take care of kittens again. SNIP spayed, neutered ninety-three community cats in six hours. Everyone including veterinarians, registered vet techs, etc. are volunteers.

This next kitty is a newbie to the park colony Mom L and Dad P help manage near us. Mom L is going to trap her to learn if she is friendly enough for adoption. She has the cutest short tail, so part Manx. She is ear tipped, but her white markings on her hind legs make her look like a bunny in motion when she walks and runs! Very cute!

I will be reporting to my readers all about the new program Project Delta View Cats that Mom L and Dad P co-founded for our city. We have a pilot project in place where we are testing all our protocols, recruiting volunteers and working on fund raising. The pilot project is in the area where we live, including the River View Park colony cats, and others along our Pittsburg, CA marina area.

Katie still searches for her forever home so please keep her in your thoughts and send some POTP her way.
