Lazy Days of Summer

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

We are all trying to find cool spaces, spa treatments and quiet time in the midst of our Northern California, east bay area heat wave. Not to mention we cannot open our windows for the last several days because our air quality is so bad, especially for Mom L and her interstitial lung disease from black mold exposure. But we are tryin’ to make the most of it.

Sage has sought out the cool corner in our master bedroom, at the midlevel of her cat tower. Normally she goes up to the tippy top but these days that is too warm. Dad P keeps our master bedroom dark and Mom L keeps a fan going for us. We all congregate in this room. Even Mom L does when she takes a little cat nap with us.

As for me, I hang out in the shadows until late afternoon, then I often rest, getting my sauna treatment, from the very warm afternoon sun. That feels so very wonderful on my old arthritic bones.

Katie likes to nap on our master cal king bed. Mom L caught her just opening her eyes with the sun starting to pour into the room. Mom L closed the heat/light blocking drapes and Katie wandered back into her kitty dream land.

You can see we have our Summer bedspread on. It is light weight seersucker cotton. We love it!! Don’t tell everyone, but often Mom L captures photos of me and Katie sharing a cool, darker spot to nap together. NOTE: I did not place my tail around Katie’s butt, Mom L must’a done that just for this photo op! (Mom L here: No way! LOL!!)

Have a happy, cooler Monday!

A photo kind’a post

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

It’s been a “hodge-podge” kind’a week here in my castle. Remember my newest castle introoder guest, Bart?

Mom L spent most of Friday taking him to emergency. He was walkin’ around Friday morning like a tripod cat—not good! Bart hated being in the garage and he cried and cried and thrashed in his cage. He apparently had injured his right front “wrist”. He has a clearly painful soft tissue injury and is now on anti-inflammatory meds and pain meds. He is finally lookin’ a teeny bit better today, Monday. We moved him into Dad P’s office. Mom L has sweet Carmelita in hers, and Carmelita was spayed on last Thursday! Sheesh—what a couple’a days that was!!

So this post is easy peasey. I have some recent photos I thought you might enjoy.

The photo above was taken this very afternoon. And yes, that is my tail wrapped around Katie’s bottom! We shared our afternoon nap in this spot.

Lousy lighting, but this is Katie’s new afternoon resting place lately. She loves the sun as much as I have always loved it.

This is me after a long day at the vet’s office. My arty-right-us is getting worse in my left front leg so’s Mom L and Dad P wanted me to have some pictures taken of my leg, shoulder and neck. I’ll let you know what’s up once we get some answers. Likely, it’s just old age!!

And Sage, the ever hopeful dinner guest. Just waiting for Mom L or Dad P to toss her something off their plates when Dad P grills chikhen!1

That’s it from me this week. Let me know if you have any questions. Hope all of you are doin’ great!

Just the three of us again!!

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

If you have been reading along with my posts over the last two to three months, you probably remember me mentioning my introoder houseguest, Gigi. Well, she has finally joyfully made her way to her furever home. I’ll give you some of that back story next Monday, purromise!

I am celebrating having my castle back with only two introoders sisfurs, TKS and Katie, by sharing some recent photos of each of us. Just in case any of you have forgotten what we look like.

Me first, of course!

Next up, our beautiful house panther, Sage aka TKS.

And never least or last, little Katie aka KK.

If you wanna know where Gigi has put her paws down to claim her furever home, be sure to visit my departed San Francisco pal Spitty’s home. Spitty and I have communed and he directed Gigi to his human.
