Autobiography of a Former Shelter Cat

Happy tails ending for my two foster girls

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Do you remember our four foster kittens? The Hole in the Wall Gang? Butch Cassidy (m), Jessie James (f), Laughing Samantha (f), and The Domino Kid (m)??

Well they were about two weeks old when we rescued them and they are now approximately five months old. For so long no one has wanted to adopt them in pairs—until this week!!!

Our two sisters, Laughing Samantha aka Sammie and Jessie James aka Jessie found their forever home!!

Sammie

Sammie is the smallest for the gang, and the most adventurous. She loves to ride on Mom L’s shoulders.

Jessie

Jessie is so regal and yet such a snuggle bug. She can do the Flying Squirrel acrobatic move like no other kitty except Momma Cat from The Cult of Otis.

Both sisters are now creating bonds with Mr. James and his wee daughter Mistress Jaina. You can see that Laughing Samantha, aka Sammie had no problem getting up close and personal with Mr. James’ fluffy head of hair!! Sammie jumped right up and made herself at home on Mr. James’ shoulder. (we have tried to ‘smudge’ facial features out of respect for their new adopters). Both girls enjoyed a fun wand toy playtime with Mistress Jaina.

This was Mistress Jaina’s first time in her whole six years of life trying to pick up a kitty. And Jessie and Sammie were great teachers. Mistress Jaina was so kind and careful. All four of our fosters allowed her to pick them up multiple times!!

Now if only somewhere, out there, in the San Francisco Bay Area there are one or two families looking for cuddly, snuggly juvenile male cats, like our Domino and Butch, then this would be a purrfect Happy Tails Ending.

BUT—for now we are overjoyed to know that our foster sisters are gonna be living the good life forever with Mr. James and his daughter Mistress Jaina.

Friday Memes for Friday Smiles

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!

I am late once again. Mom L lost use of one of her opposing thumbs due to some cramp thingy. But I gave her a soft paw whack and she jumped right to the keyboard! Mom L still volunteers at the once a week Kitchen Clinics with her buddy Doc Josie. And sometimes, those kittens just gotta sing at the top of their voice box!!!

This little guy was about two pounds! What a screamer singer!!

Yeah, TKS continues to learn the parameters of her newly imposed diet. It is not a pretty site, I gotta say.

And yes, Mom L and Dad P have allowed this latest batch of rug rats kittens, now five months old, out of Mom L’s office so they can have room to run around my castle! And when this happens?! They close me, TKS and KK up in our master bedroom. Of course, I have my tent and TKS has hers and KK naps in the tower, but really?!

Gettin’ my grove on!

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Some people may think that just ‘cuz I am seventeen + years old and pretty darn deaf—that I may not be interested in enjoying some “grove time”! I say—NONSENSE!! We seniors like to have our chillin’ and grovin’ time just like we used to; just maybe in different ways and not for a long play session.

Mom L put out some of my favorite catnip and watched to see if I noticed. Of course I did!!

First off I started sniffin’ around to find out just where she put all that yummy smelling stuff.

Oh my, oh my!! That was some very fun catnip! Maybe I over indulged, but heck—why not!

What did you say Mom L?? I couldn’t hear you over the noise in my head!

Oh!!! Yeah, I got’cha! Ummmmm—naw—maybe I don’t hear ya quite as good as I thought. But hey! Thank you for the nip trip tonight!!
