I get to remember and share stuff I am so very thankful for…and this day is a special day…around the world…it Is…

REMEMBER ME THURSDAY

Remember Me Thursday…“Please spread the message and make sure that your friends and family dedicate Thursday, September 26, 2013, to remembering the millions of orphan pets who lost their lives over the last year. On this one very special day, right here, you will be able to light a candle to bring awareness to the millions of healthy pets who are still awaiting adoption and encourage communities to opt to adopt and reduce the millions of orphan pets euthanized each year.”

My Dad Peter lit a candle in honor of two feral cats he and Mom Linda rescued…Ace and Mister…I hope you will light a candle for all the animals you have helped rescue from being PTS…AND for those you can help in future…this is impawtant…and PURRLEASE…post, re-post, Tweet and Face Book share this special day…let’s help the WORLD hear our voices for all those who cannot speak…Paw Hugs for all that you do…

For those who cannot speak…

My former shelter..Contra Costa Humane Society (CCHS), as many others…have wonderful adults cats, and woofies….waiting for their furrever homes…they are the fortunate ones…they are in ‘no kill’ rescue shelters…but only just by a second were many saved…like me…

I was selected for destruction on the very day my savior, Miss Tammy (you can LIKE her on FB), from my former shelter, stepped forward and said …”I will take her for foster…”…my intake photo…

…it is life saving to foster even if for only 24 hours…my foster was only for 4 days…until I was placed at my former shelter Kitty Corner…

…here I am now..

PURRLEASE…Remember those we have lost…so we can all pull together to rescue and find furrever homes for those still in shelters…especially those in “kill” shelters…

I am such a fortunate adult rescue shelter cat…and I hope my life continues to be devoted to helping others like me, cats or woofies, find their furrever homes…

Leo Caught In The Act!

Ummm…HIYA!! SAVANNAH AND FOSTER BROFUR LEO HERE!!!

I thought you should all know that FB Leo got caught…he’s getting a bit worried about whether or not his New Dad Dave (NDD) is…well…is he an experiences feline guardian. So Leo took Mom Linda’s keyboard, it’s wireless, and he was doing some background checking on NDD…

…and Yep…he got caught. You see NDD is sort of a techie dude…and he caught Leo snooping around his hard drive for photos of kittens all cute and tiny, cat toys that don’t require any human interaction…ya know…stuff that would make him maybe a less than desirable guardian for an adult rescue cat like Leo…who really needs like a ton of human interaction..

Anywho…here is the evidence…Leo, busted, by NDD’s PC camera…sigh

NDD sent this photo to Mom just to make sure she knew what Leo was up to. You see, NDD is coming for another visit today, so Leo is a bit worried.

I, on the other hand, did NOT GET BUSTED by NDD…so I have been helping FB Leo in his background checking on NDD…I use my iPad…

Heh…heh…I’ve got Leo’s back on this one…shhhhh…don’t tell NDD

Thankfulness Comes with Relief

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Just not enough time in the week to cover all the “thankfuls”…but I am so purrleased that our good furriend Pepi Smart Dog gives us this blog hop to help us remember to cover the “thankfuls” each week…pawsome!

So I never thought I would say this…but I am so thankful for my Foster Brofur Leo…finally…Mom and Dad now are learning what a wonderful, priceless and purrfect ladycat I am…what a RELIEF!!. No misbehavin’ on my part…no sireeee…

…on the other paw…FB Leo is a different story…

Do ya see that???…right there…Mom’s fave buffet she makes look all nice…and “SOME CAT” must have jumped up there, smooshed up that pretty table runner thingy…and practically knocked off that bowl from Peru and that heavy candle thing-a-ma-bob…pawful, just pawful…

And…I, Savannah, was closed off in my master bedroom having my morning siesta when this happened…hmmmm….wonder who could have done it…heh…heh..yup, FB Leo is makin’ me look really good!

Of course, FB Leo gets out and about…but the other thing that makes me feel appreciative is that he hasn’t damaged any of my fave toys…well, at least not yet. And Mom and Dad always make sure they pick up Mr Scruffy, my very, very first ever toy they bought just special for me when I first came to be fostered by them.

He is my most favorite, special toy of all…I play with him by myself every day…he sleeps on my scratch post when I am not playing with him…you can see I have loved him to pieces…so no Leo germs allowed on Mr. Scruffy.

I always have to check out my stuff after Leo has been out…ya never know what he might do…(remember you can click on a photo to bigify)

I decided I would let FB Leo tell you about his special thankfulness for this week..just to give him something to do…he needs to learn how to blog in case his next castle lets him have one of his own…go on FB Leo…you can meow with my readers now, go on….

Ahhh…yeah, well Ok Savannah…(feels like I should salute her or something)…I do have something to be very very thankful about this week. Do you guys out there remember the raffle Mollie and Alfie put on to help with my medical costs???

Anywho…the grand raffle prize was won by da’ Tabbie O’ Trout Towne…a gift voucher for $75USD…and they generously gave that prize to ME…LEO…an adult shelter rescue cat…fighting for my life because I had fatty liver syndrome…

Ok, moving along…I finally decided how to spend my prize money…I now have my very own…

Yeah, yeah…Savannah back again…so now he has his own cat tower…thank COD!! So like stay off mine, na’mean???

Lastly, for my good gurl furriend Jonesie…I have a little garden report…I think the dudes that take care of our garden must have dumped some noms on the roses…cuz’ they are putting out flowers again…WOO HOO..
