HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!

What a lot of news I have for you today!!

First let me ask everyone…do you remember this face???

IMG_0733

Come on…bet you can’t even guess who this is…but go ahead…give it a go…who is this CAT?????

APAWS!!   APAWS!!

You are RIGHT!!!

CUZIN LEO!!

Mom Linda had a visit with him this weekend…here he is in all his magnificent mancat-liness!!

Cuzin Leo is doing fine.  His Dad Dave has been bizzy, bizzy with work…AND…he is renovating his Leo’s garden!  More will be revealed on Cuzin Leo’s blog later in the weeks to come…purrlease do not give up on him…he is so grateful for all everyone has done for him.

My next news is…ummm…well….ahhh….errrrrrrrrrrrrr….ok, ok…let’s just say it is ‘different’ for a cat blog…na’mean???

So, my long time readers know that my humans’ had Siberian Huskies long before me…and I am sort of a wannabe ‘Sibe’…seriously!

My good Sibe furriends Mika, Lexus and Koda at Love is being Owned by a Siberian just gave me the most PAWSOME gift of my whole life…membership into the Secret Siberian Society (SSS)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sss

There are certain things you need to do to be inducted into the S.S.S (secret sibe society) There are two different sets of rules. One set for huskies and their owners and one set for those of you (pets or humans) who have a undying love of the breed…this would be me!!!

Rules for furriends who have an undying love for huskies :
You must be willing to wear a set of husky ears and our gorgeous plume tail.

  • You must know at least one Sibe fact about our breed…Savvy’s Mom Linda and Dad Peter know like a TON about us!!
  • You must follow our Sibe-Vibe posts weekly…of course Savvy, as a wannabe Sibe does this!
  • You must share what your interests is in becoming a member of the S.S. S. And Savannah has let us know for a long time!
  • Finally, you  must agree to keep ‘lips closed’ about this society when conversing with non Sibe lovers…got it?

So…here I am sporting all my Sibe ears and tail plumes!!!  (click to bigify and hover over photos to see full captions)

If you are a ‘wanna be’ Sibe…just head on over to Mika, Lexus and Koda’s blog and ask if you can join the S. S. S.

And my other news is another PAWSOME AWARD FROM MY PAL NISSY!!!

Yoo Hoo Award

100,000 hit award #1

Celebrating Nissy’s Achievement of 100,000 views for his pawsome blog

As Nerissa says…

“The rules for acceptin’ the Yoo-hoo! YOO-HOO! Award are pretty simple.

– Firstly, post the award on your blog and thank the blogger who gave it to you.

– Secondly, visit at least three of the blogs that are receiving the award along with you and leave a

comment.

– Thirdly, tell us all three things you have to celebrate.  You know, three things for which you are

thankful.

– Lastly, pass along the award to seven other bloggers and let them know you have done so.

So let me get started first with my THREE THINGS TO CELEBRATE:

  1. I am loved, and know that tummy rubbing is pretty nice
  2. I think I can learn to share my life with another cat…meaning The Kid Sage
  3. My Dad still calls me his Princess

Now for my SEVEN nominees, should they chose to accept this award from me…

Miss Priscilla from Priscilla Speaks

Oz The Terrier

Mika from Owned by a Husky

Cathy Keisha, my one and only BFGF

Scylla, from Alessandra, the cats and dogs

Tutu, from the Furries of Whisspy

Allie, from A Tonk’s Tail

I hope all will accept this pawsome award…at least they know I celebrate counting them as my furriends!

Friday Frolics…

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE…FINALLY!!!

Ummmm…sorry about being late to the blog postin’ and all.  My typist was out late last night and begged me to let her post later today.  She hands out the treats, so who was I to say no…na’ mean???

So here are some frolicking good times in my ‘hood…first the Canada Geese are back in the apartment complex near us and they finally brought out their goslings for all of use to admire.  The apartment complex has lots of ponds and the Mallard ducks and the Canada Geese usually have one to two sets of babies…Mom’s video of the Momma and Poppa and the kids taking to the water is simply precious!

And here is a slideshow of their cuteness…

I found a forgotten video of The Kid  Sage…and while is certainly is NOT great…it does let you see her up close and personal…so seemed like a Friday Frolic movie to me…hope you enjoy…

Now its my turn to share MY frolics…I don’t always react to the nip or even the vine…but Mom dumped a big bunch of strong nip on my scratcher and my oh my was it good!!

and the movie version…

Thursday Purrsday

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

My purr motor is cranked to high right now because I am working some Paw It Forward Projects.  And I am hoping you will help me with both of them…all you have to do is share, share, share…that’s it…and if you want to or can do more…PAWSOME!!

Paw It Forward ...My Passion

Paw It Forward …My Passion

Now, I also missed my most favorite post to write...Blog 4 The Change…so I am counting this one as my contribution…late…but just the same…I intend to BE THE CHANGE every day of every week of every month of every year that I am able…and Mom Linda and Dad Peter both have my back on this.

B4TC

Now this first Paw It Forward Project is complete.  BUT…you can all join in to help just by thinking about sharing on your blogs, Twitter and Face Book…and for some of you this may be tough.  It has been for me.  You see, my pal Nissy works hard every day to post the Pets on Death Row list for the New York City Animal Control Center (NYC ACC). He shares it via his Face Book page…and I just hated seeing all those cats looking so miserable.

Then I learned about ‘making pledges’ to save a life or lives.  You see every day of every week non-profit rescues try to pull as many of the dogs and cats from the NYC ACC system as fast as their funds will allow.  I discovered that if I saved as much as $5 USD each month, I could ‘pledge’ that for a particular cat….I don’t see the woofie list, sorry…and maybe, just maybe my green papers will help a rescue with strained funds, but with a big heart, be able to pull just one of those cats.

So, my pal Nissy looks for me…tells me at the beginning of the month when he sees a cat he knows needs special help and I hop on line, click on that cat’s photo and make my pledge. That’s it.  I can only do this once a month, but in one year…I will hopefully help save 12 cats.

Please meet my first kitty I have been able to help avoid being PTS by NYC ACC…Meet little Miss Hicks…

Hicks

Eleven months old, cited as ‘owner surrender/stray’…she is pregnant.  Now, thanks to Feline Rescue of Staten Island, she is safe.  She will have her babies, they will be properly socialized and made adoptable and Hicks will be spayed and also helped to her forever home.  By literally hundred of us sharing via Face Book the plight of Hicks, we raised enough for the rescue to know they could afford to pull her.

All I ask is that each and every one of you consider finding a way to help those who are courageous enough to post about Pets on Death Row…just think…if each of us saves one or more cats or dogs a year…we ARE THE CHANGE…MOST IMPORTANT…you do not need to donate green papers…but find a cat or woofie you hope to see saved and SHARE, SHARE, SHARE…no green papers involved in that…just sayin’…

My next Paw It Forward Project which is ongoing.  This little ladycat has been a resident at my former shelter for far too long.  She, just as I, was labeled, or as my BFGF Cathy Keisha might say ‘profiled’…Tiny is her name and she is a tuxie wonder!  And long thought not able to change so as to be adoptable.  And then my wonderful staff at Contra Costa Humane Society decided to take her out of the cat population at Kitty Corner and bring her into their offices.  TINY BLOOMED!!!  She will have been at Kitty Corner for one year come this July…I am asking all of you…not matter where you live to SHARE, SHARE, SHARE Tiny…you never know who you know who may know someone who lived in California.

We will make sure she can be transported within 4 hours of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Please welcome TINY…

She adores running water, loves catnip, plays with toys galore, does zoomies up the hallway, regularly headbutts us for affection

That’s it for my Paw It Forward Projects.  Because of this I join Pepi Smart Dog’s Thankful Thursday Blog hop…click on the badge to be transported to others…
