Yoo Hoo!!! Friday Memes Just for You!

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

My new memes are sure to get your Friday smiles and grins movin’ around on your faces. Just check out the first one.

This cute little pittie girl joined her human and my Mom L and Dad P at a totally awesome fund raising event, Pint for Paws,  for Berkeley Humane Society. Mom L and Dad P and I believe if we support our fellow rescues then it all comes back to us eventually one way or another. This non-profit has helped us rescue some kitties and we know they do great things.

Of course TKS just had to get one in of her own.

What more can I say. TKS is totally obsessed with her favorite spot on the bed next to “her” Dad P during our morning routine. Of course, I, Princess Savannah, am far more willing to share the bed space with TKS and that whatever her name is, KK (Kit Katie).

Well I bet’cha none of my readers ever have a problem when they are at that doctor place and they hear “temperature”!! MOL!!

This cute young adult kitty girl is now residing in Mom L’s office in a large cage. She was found by our neighbor’s who told us she was “very friendly”. And she was, for like thirty seconds, then she would start to growl. Hmmmmmm—nonetheless—Mom L picked the kitty up on Sunday, in a carrier, and we took her to the cat clinic run by our pals Community Concern For Cats.  We needed her checked for a microchip, and to learn if she was female or male and did she need to be “fixed”.

A few more snarls and growls later—and Miss Penelope (Mom L names her) was determined to be “female”, “pregnant”, and no chip.

So we picked her up and brought her home for recovery. She continued to snarl and yet she also wanted to be pet. So back she went to see a Veterinarian, and we learned she had some pain from an injection site so she received a mild pain med.

Who knew!!! Miss Penelope became the most adorable, chilled kitty ever!! And then last night Mom L discovered the unthinkable—Miss Penelope is declawed!!!!!!

YES!! She was abandoned by an apartment renter near us, not spayed, not chipped and declawed! Outrageous I say!!! What say all of you my readers???

So Miss Penelope will be kept in my castle until she is fully recovered from her surgery and then we will find an adoption path for her.

That’s if from me!!

Friday Memes and Friday Smiles

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

We made it to Friday and I have my memes all set for you.

I know lots of my pals can relate to my meme!! Heck my dinner was served so early this week they had to reheat it by the time I was finishing up my afternoon nap!!

TKS so tries to keep up with the latest styles. But she usually missed the point somewhere along the way.

And there you have Mr. Elliot! Watson is a male, not altered, abandoned cat found wandering and pitifully crying near one of our volunteer’s home. He was filthy, matted and yet all he wanted was to have someone pet him. Our volunteers in our new organization Project Delta View Cats got Watson into an adoption path at Contra Costa Animal Services. You see Watson is about six years old and never neutered so he of course tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus). No transfer partner rescue would pull him from our shelter but the shelter at volunteers put together a great video and promoted Watson. And yes, his forever home finally found him!! Watson has been adopted by a woman looking for a lap cat and Watson will live the rest of his life doting on his new human guardian.

Hope you enjoyed my memes this week.

Returned Again!

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Well I never! I mean here I go and shout it to the roof tops, or at least to the tops of my internet tower…anyway, I shout it loud and clear that my Paw It Forward kitty Miss Gemma had a Happy Tail Ending. And this was her second adoption.

Remember I told you about her first adopter who allowed one of their dogs to bite her, wait for that bite to get such a horrible abscess Gemma needed a drain and stitches by the time that foolish family returned her to Contra Costa Animal Services.

After she had her stitches out, Gemma was moved to a fab place at Pet Food Express. Remember I showed you how great it was when Koko went there too. The staff loved Gemma and were so excited for her when a couple with a two year old toddling human adopted her. They firmly advised them to set up a safe room just for Gemma where she could get to know every nook and cranny and where they could interact with her OFTEN and calmly and quietly.

Gemma was again returned to Contra Costa Animal Services. Mom L was in tears for precious Gemma!! Long story short, the couple put Gemma in their laundry room where they continued to use those scary noisy machines. Then they let her out at night, and she would of course like any sensible cat hide under a bed. So in all their human wisdom they used the vacuum cleaner to scare her out!!! So they returned her saying she was too shy and needed a more quiet home!! DUH!!!

Pet Food Express welcomed Gemma back with open arms. And guess what? She is such a resilient cat and still trusts humans. Mom L had no problem getting to give Gemma tummy rubs the first time she visited her at Pet Food Express. Gemma has another adult and some kittens to keep her company so Mom L only goes to visit every couple of days. Please wish Gemma better good fortune her third time around. Don’t you just wanna give her a great big squeeze she is so cute!

I love hanging out next to a warm human

Gemma is the biggest purr bug! Look at her snugglin’ next to Mom L’s leg.

Ohhh…I adore you so much I have to make some biscuits!

And Gemma is an equal opportunity cat, so she had no trouble sharing some rubs with Dad P too.

Let me rub my furs on you so’s you remember me

I’d sure be purring up a storm if my readers will share this post to help Gemma find her purrfect family. She deserves a kind, sensitive human family with patience…not to mention brains enough to know how to follow instructions from the adoption counselors!!! If you have any advice I can pass along to Gemma, let me know in comments.
