They Thought I Won’t Jump!!

Hiya! Savannah Here!!

You know humans, right?? They don’t seem to get it that when they aren’t home, we do stuff differently than when they are…right??? Isn’t that true for all of you? Cats and Dogs??

I bet’cha it is true!…I know all of guys are NOT the purrfect little cats and dogs you try to pretend to be…I read your blogs…I know!

Mom and Dad always lament (vocab builder project VBP) that I don’t seem to care much for heights…I don’t get on counters (well, there was that one time Mom caught me)…I don’t get on the table ( well, once)…anyway…I don’t usually “JUMP” up on stuff…so they think…heh heh…

Well, Auntie Shannon, remember she runs the HOOVER here AND she stays with me when Mom and Dad have their get-aways…anywho…Auntie Shannon let it slip that she and I have this really cool arrangement for when she stays here.

Auntie Shannon leaves the bedroom window open, with the shutter opened too…and I jump…yes…I said I “JUMP” from the floor to the window sill for a little fresh air and a look-see from a different perspective (VBP) than I get from looking out the slider doors when they are open.

Mom said “NO WAY!!…not my baby girl Nana!!…she would never jump up like that”…and Auntie Shannon said “WAY!!…yes she does!!…open that window and leave the shutter open and just you wait and see…”

Yup..you got it right! That is exactly what Mom has done…and of course she has been “waiting to see” with her FLASH and CLICK in her hand…literally night and day!

So, she got me…in the act…

…yup…it’s open alrighty…

…lemme just use my Ground Hog sit move to look higher…make sure the sill is clear…

…OK…just one or two more things to check out…

…made it!!!…yup…that’s the floor down there…and me up here…

…ahhh…I just luvluvluv the perspective this gives me of Mom’s chest of drawers….hmmm…wonder how far that jump would be???…

…nope, nope..focus…this is good for now…smell that air…ahhhhhh….

…Wow…the jacuzzi is sure quiet…wonder if there are any stars out tonight…

…well…guess I better get down…Mom probably needs me over in bed with her now…

And that’s what I have been doing for months now…when Mom and Dad are gone…Auntie Shannon and I have this deal…she likes the shutter open at night…and I like to sit and look at the stars from the window sill…cool, huh?

Now Mom and Dad know what to do too…so I get my way…SCORE ANOTHER ONE FOR SAVANNAH…Clowie will be proud of the way I am training my bipeds…she is my role model for biped Training 101…

Hope all of you are still working your own biped training…we have to keep them on their toes…so make sure you never do the same thing all the time…give them something different when they least expect it…hmmmmm…wish I could operate that FLASH and CLICK to capture the looks on their faces…MOL

AWARDS, LOL’D AGAIN AND OTHER STUFF!

Miss Wendy did it to me AGAIN!!…I got LOL’d at Wendy’s LOL Spot…

My aPAWlogies to Mr. ASTAIRe!

Miss Wendy knows I luvluvluv my stairs!!! And she got me a good one this time!!! MOL!!!

And then I had not ONE, but TWO, wonderful furriends bestow (vocab builder project) upon me two different AWARDS…

Even though I have both AWARDS…I want to acknowledge my continuing humility in being a recipient (vocab builder project VBP) of any and all awards. I cannot believe the generosity of this incredible anipal blogging community. Even Mom says…”I have never felt such acceptance without judgement anywhere else”…and that is DITTO for me…and you know I had many labels attached to me from peeps about being anti-social, un-adoptable, not playful…on and on…

THIS COMMUNITY ROCKS BIG TIME!!!…just sayin’…

And for those of you who prefer to NOT DISPLAY awards…that’s totally OK too…but I am thinkin’ of all of you right now!!! And giving it to you from my heart anyways…

Finally…a little bit more of my Monday Meowsie News…this is sort of my ‘catch’up’ post from stuff I may have done that’s new for me in the last week and anything such as AWARDS. etc.

My new play space is our office…ya know…Mom and I share an office…well, it is mostly mine…but I let her do stuff in here…anyways…I always played just in our bedroom, but have sort of been moving my ‘game’ out…get it????

Anywho…Mom had this really cool box in our office and she just left it here as sort of an enticement for me…

…what the heck is in here???….hmmmm…must investigate as any good FBI Agent would…make Nellie and Koz proud..

…Oh My Cat!!…LOOK!!!…Can you see it???…I must get closer!!!!!!!!!!!!….

…OH!…if I turn around…I can see the iPlay Toy!!…NICE!…

…oopppsss…Mom saw me lookin’ at it…better get goin’….

…WHAT???…I didn’t see nuttin’…do nuttin’…totally not my problem!!…

So just one more new adventure captured on Mom’s FLASH and CLICK thingy…

Thank COD I don’t do this new stuff very often! I would like be totally blind from that FLASH!!!

Friendly Friday Frolic…And Feeling a Loss

Hiya! Savannah here!

First about Feeling Loss. My Champion, big guy Jetty, has lost his feline brother, Fluffy. Fluffy went OTRB yesterday, August 16. He lived a long life but a companion passing is always tough. I know Jetty’s mom, Miss Lori, is missing Fluffy too, as well as Fluffy’s human sister, Rachel. You see, Rachel named Fluffy when she was a little girl. So if you haven’t already, please drop by Jetty, at Hey, It’ s Jet Here, to give them some healing purrrs and soft doggie nuzzles.

I borrowed this cute photo from Jet’s blog post, I hope he doesn’t mind. I never met Fluffy, but wish I had.

Now I will share my Friendly Friday Frolic with you…

I have some new stuff to tell you about…but mostly I’ll keep that for my “Monday Meowsie News”.

But I really wanted you to see something I did that was silly and fun yesterday..You know I have started to play some with Mom in our office…well who knew that Mr Apple created something just for us cats!! It is an Apply iPlay cat toy…

Using it for chasing does require a staff member…or…you can just let it lay on the floor and pounce on it…I tried both ways…and prefer the interactive version myself.

…Mom started by waving it at me…I couldn’t tell what it was, so I had to go into the office to check it out…

…OH CAT!!…there are two of them!!!…Now What!!!…

…OK…this one is moving…I better keep my eyes on it…

…I pounced on it…then had to take a good sniff…Mom didn’t get a good photo of me jumping all over this thing…

…when she tried all she got was a FOTO BOMB!!!…(behind paws…snicker, snork)…

And that’s my new Apple iPlay Cat Toy…I bet some of you have this very same toy…so I encourage you to get your staff to share it…they can just leave it lying on the floor for you to practice your attack moves, or they can make it interactive and wiggle it around so you can practice your pouncing moves…
