Monday Meowsie News…CELEBRATION!!!

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

NEWS!!! I HAVE GREAT UNBELIEVABLE NEWS!!!!

I have always hoped to find something special about my Russian Blue, with white accents, furs.  And I did!!! Besides the fact that it does indeed have a bluish sheen to it…and I am considered a “Tuxie” because of my white accents…but there was always something more I just didn’t know ‘what’…hidden in my furs…somewhere….TA DA!!

I HAVE STRIPES ON MY TAIL

I AM A RUSSIAN BLUE TUXIE TABBY CAT

I am so happy I can't stop shouting!!

I am so happy I can’t stop shouting!!

My badge was sent to me over the weekend…isn’t it simply PAWSOME!!!

Tabby Cat Club Badge

i would never ever have thought this was possible but then I saw a post from my BFGF Cathy Keisha…SHE discovered she had stripes on her tail. Well being the great investigator that I am…I found just the right setting, just the right lighting…then I directed Mom to shine that flash and click box on my tail while she also turned on the flashlight…and BEHOLD!!…..there are the stripes!

Gorgeous! Right!??

I have to come up with a really good first post on The Tabby Cat Club blog site…be sure to visit Monday because Raz from Friends FurEver is hosting a fun St Patrick’s Day Pawty.  I am so so excited!

Now for the half good half not so good news.  Mom and Dad were BOTH going to be gone for a day and night on bizness…bummer…BUT…Mom caught Dad’s horrible cold and so SHE can’t go…SCORE ONE FOR THE CATS…minus .50 for the Pawrents (secretly…I know she didn’t wanna go anyhow…shhhh).  Now Dad is feeling lots better except for that one ear that he still can’t hear out of…hmmmm….guess I would make that a PLUS .50 for the Pawrents…with a small deduction for the ear…like .25

BUT Dad will be all alone in some hotel room for FOUR whole nights…Minus .50 for the Pawrents…and Sage will be alone in her bedroom unless she allows Mom to join her for a few hours…minus .25 for The Cats.  However, I, HRH Savannah now have Mom every single day and night this week…add .50 for The Cats

I will certainly get more snuggles and attention from Mom than the pet sitter….score .25 for The Cats…but Sage will get less than if the pet sitter stayed with us (‘suck up The Kid Sage’)…so minus .25 for The Cats

So if you do the math…like I did…The Cats SCORED on this situation…let me know in comments how you came out in your math on the points…and I will announce THE TRUTH on Friday Frolics…

As for The Kid Sage…she helped Dad pack…but it wasn’t all that pretty…(hover over the photos for captions and click on photo to bigify)

Ahem…just to be honest…I miss Dad Peter almost as much as The Kid Sage…he is THE food source…Mom doesn’t ‘get’ just how to heat it up nicely in the wavey machine to make sure we have warm, not HOT or COLD food…Dad is the expert. Mom Linda, well, she is second best to be sure…sometimes she just plops it down ‘as is’…pfffft!! Dad would never do THAT!

Have a great week…thanks so much for stopping by….

PeeEss…

Just a couple of my readers tried to identify where they saw my now ‘Cuzin’ Leo and my now sisfur ‘Sage’…here is the outcome and the picture again..

The photo…with Cuzin Leo and Sisfur Sage circled…

May the REAL Leo and Sage stand out

Cuzin Leo is so distinct with his green eyes…and Sisfur Sage because has a little bald spot on her chin, just like her sisfur Rosemary who is just to her left as you face the photo…it really is very cute…and Cupcake found Leo purrfectily! (shhh…Cupcake is my secret BWGF (best woofie girlfriend)…I haven’t even let her know yet *giggles*…And Nylablue guessed Leo right her first guess…but missed on Sage…it is that distinguishing bald spot on her chin…not ALL BLACK CATS and WOOFIES look the same…all have special markings…just sayin’…

Friday Frolics: My Way!

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Well I don’t know about all of you…but there are times when I really want to rip around the living room chasing that red dot or my peacock feather…and then there are times when I like to play nice and easy…I just always need to have the upper paw if you know what I mean…can’t let a feather stay on top; right?  And we do have to keep the staff entertained…even when we are not totally into the game…na’ mean??

Now some of you have been leaving comments about how nice I was to allow invite The Kid Sage to start off the post last Friday.  Don’t confuse seeing us in the same post as ‘seeing us together’ all buddy buddy. We are still a long ways from there…let me tell you!

You see she just can’t help herself…she is drawn to my awesomeness….no, really…honestly…it’s true….she just cannot stay away or keep her sneaky gold eyes off me…I say ‘whatever’…

Our ‘togetherness’ goes like this…on a good day…(be sure to hover over to see captions and click on photo to bigify and see total caption if parts are missing…’K?)

You’d think that outta teach her, right?  No way…she just keeps on staring…like what…wanna be furriends?  OK…then keep a 10 foot distance, minimal…what?…you can’t…unhuh…

And it just keeps going downhill after that…

Finally…busted after she leaves that box ostensibly to ‘just roam’….HAH!  Caught on camera by Mom sneaking up behind the couch on which ‘I’…’HRHS’ am reclining.

Sage...BUSTED!!

Sage…BUSTED!!

And this is how I frolic at my house…my way

Thursday Purrsday…This Is Gonna Be Good

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I have been purrring non-stop with the kindness of my furriends.

I am so fortunate to have all of you

I am so fortunate to have all of you

First, my very good girl furriend Nylablue  was so pleased that our mutual furriend Misaki, who won the Monster Contest  during Sammy’s Moon Trip , donated his prize to her…well she turned right around AND…she asked Sammy to give it to me…ok, ok…and The Kid Sage too…there, I said it *whips head around to glare at typist staff*.  The point is…both Misaki and Nylablue are so generous…thank you to both.

Anyway, wasn’t that just so kind and generous of Mz Sweet Feet Nylablue!  APAWS! APAWS!

Check out what was in the package…it was some way cool stuff….even two coupons for a brand of litter…we don’t use it but we sent it right over to my former rescue shelter.

Keep your eyes on that Lion

Keep your eyes on that Lion

Well…I had not even had a chance to SEE this package before Miss Priss, The Kid Sage (Mom calls her Pistol Pants too…*snicker*)…took liberties by slobbering on everything!  She even tried to carry that Lion off to nom on him…the very idea!!….haruummppff!! (hover over photo to see captions)

I had Mom clean off that poor Lion so I can give him some attention…heh…heh

Also, I have had my purr-motor cranked on high speed because some of my readers were so wonderfully kind to write EXTRA limericks for ME!!  I posted last Friday Frolics day about my cool limerick composed by none other than the Oz man himself…well in the comments on my post 2 furriends left NEW ONES ABOUT ME!!…ok,, alright…and one for The Kid Sage

First from someone who visits me regular…and I am embarrassed that I don’t know who it is…we only can see the comment is from:

franhunne4u

http://inhannover.wordpress.com/  and this is the blog link but it is not a cat blog…but thank you and I hope you see this post…here is what they wrote for me..

A cat named Savannah in Cali
only accepted cat food from the deli
she hissed at the Sage
and punished her slaves
but she is a very cute feli

My furriend Nylablue also wrote a cutie for me…so funny!

Dere once waz a kitteh named Savvy
who didn’t like bikitz n gravy..
She lubz her toyz n her tunnel
Butt she won’t go into a funnel…
n now diz kitteh givez a wavey!

And this one was done for The Kid Sage…we are again very red faced because we do not know whose blog this comes from…but thank you Selleck and Emily the human…

Little Sage may be a bit of a pest,
when you’re trying to get some rest,
but eventually you will find,
that soon you don’t mind,
for Savannah can stand the test.

Selleck and His Person, Emily

Now my purr-motor AND The Kid Sage’s purr-motor too went into accelerated speed when we saw this video about 20 cats I and Mom Linda have been trying to help get medical assistance and find homes.

I hope you all remember the cats I meowed about a while back…they were rescued by two pawsome ladies who live near me.  They paid to bring 20 cats all under 5 years old from Texas to Northern California last Summer. The cats were discovered in a hoarding situation of sorts. The ladies have been working diligently to get them taken care of health wise and get them adopted. There are a few left…if you don’t mind…please share this GREAT VIDEO they just made of the remaining cats…all purrrrring away in hopes of getting their furrever homes soon.

Click HERE to see my first post about them…and purrlease, purrlease share, reblog, tweet…anything to help these cats find homes.  Our kitten season is about to begin and adult cats are almost totally overlooked at this time….they are all safe…well fed and cared for…but they are NOT HOME.  We will help transport them to approved adopters in Northern California…Mom Linda and Dad Peter promised.  Some are pretty shy…but with love and patience they will bring more joy into their furrever home than imagined.

One more big big reason to be purring…my former rescue shelter just sent me an email with an awesome photo of most of the cats we have saved this past year…if you can find my former Foster Brofur Leo, now my Cuzin Leo, in this photo…tell me in comments…bet no one can…heh…heh…I’ll let you know next Monday Meowsie News if anyone found Cuzin Leo…oh yeah…now that Mom mentioned it…and find The Kid Sage to…woo hoo…this is gonna be some fun!

KC Anniversary cats 2013-2014

Whew! That was a lot to get us purring around here; so we are joining Pepi Smart Dog’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop…hope you will go over and visit all those who are participating. You can join too…any time between now and NEXT Thursday when it starts over again…click the badge to be transported…
