Thinking About Feral Cats

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I was reading over Mom’s shoulder a couple of days ago…I think it was on Boxing Day actually.  Anyways, I saw this on the Editorial Page…and my first thought was like…WOW!!! HARDLY ANYBODY EVER TALKS ABOUT FERAL CATS ON THE EDITORIAL PAGE!!!

So then I calmed down, Mom asked me not meow so loud as it was still quiet time in the morning…we read the newspapers, watch the news and read my new emails every morning in bed…Dad brings Mom her coffee and I go down stairs to help him out and of course, to get my brekkies.  Then I trot back up to snuggle with Mom while she reads to me.

Ok, so now I have digressed (VBP) so let me get back on track…about this Editorial.  It was in the San Francisco Chronicle.

The editorial really talks about the pawsitive impact on feral cat populations that two bay area cities have experienced since the city shelters started doing more TNR rather than destroying cats.

Let feral cats run free – SFGate.

I wish I had this to post on Feral Cat Day…but I wanted to share it with my furriends because it is not often a major newspaper prints an editorial about cats at all, let alone feral cats.  I was purrleased to say the least!

So, Mom thought I should at least add a couple of photos of MOI, as this is my blog and she thought you might want to see me playing around some more…so here you go…

…not much I like better than pretending the feathers are getting away under my Nip N Nap Mat…going under for the grab!!!

…this is my “cross over” move…I keep my right paw holding it down under the mat while I use my left paw, crossed over my right, to snag it with my claws…heh…heh…

peeEss Mom like TOTALLY luvluvluv’d the Wand I got her!!! She and Dad are in San Francisco today and tonight and my Auntie Shannon is here with me!

Friday Shopping Frolics…

HIYA!!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I AM IN A GREAT BIG HURRY…I FORGOT MOM’S BIRTHDAY IS TOMORROW!!

MOUSES!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE DID THE TIME GO???

I am sorry I don’t have much time…I am leaving now, using my FAST LEOPARD TELEPORT TUNNEL to make a fast trip to Diagon Alley.  Mom has ALWAYS wanted her very own wand…so I am off to Ollivander’s Wand Shop because they have the very best wands…..

So pardon my hurry…but I must be off…I will be back in a flash…this tunnel is very fast!!!…WHOOOOOOSH!!

OH COD!!!…all they had left after Christmas was this stupid looking fairy tale thing-a-ma-bob!!!…does it look reedikalouse!!!???? I hate to disappoint Mom!!!…what do you guys think????  Should I give it to her anyways???

So Much To Be Thankful About

HIYA!!!  SAVANNA HERE!!!!!

I have to extend my Christmas package opening one more day…because I want to let efurryone know how grateful I am that I have such a pawsome furrever home…and even more pawsome furriends.

I received more holiday greeting cards in the mail and  e-cards than Dad and Mom!!  And some of my furriends were so kind to give me gifts I never ever expected.  Never ever did this adult shelter rescue cat believe she could have such a life…and now I do!

THANK YOU ALL FOR EFURRYTHING YOU SAY, DO, GIVE AND FOR JUST BEING HERE TO FOLLOW ALONG IN MY PAW TRACKS AS I SHARE MY RECOVERY JOURNEY

Mom and I decided to use the WP Slideshow to share my first ever holiday package opening.  Some show me with my first stocking…then me with the gray floofy warm nap mats Dad bought special for me; then my BFGF Cathy Keisha sent me a package of toys I REALLY like and some NIP that actually has me very interested.  The toys CK sent are the one with me drooling on it, putting the bitey to it and actually lifting it up to my face for a better bitey. I even picked it up like a dog and gave it a really good shaking!! Then I got a new pink fish nip toy that is pretty nice and some kind of stupid interesting thingy that stands there with a mousey on top of a floppy stick…not sure what the heck to do with that one???

The photo of the GORGEOUS rocks painted like cats was a prezzie from Cathy Keisha and TW to Mom!! She really luvs them and they will have a home in a nice glass dish to sit on our coffee table.

Thank you all again for being my furriends.  Hard to believe I have been blogging for less than one year and have so many to call ‘furriends’.  I am one very fortunate adult shelter rescue cat.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, I might have one other post about Christmas if I receive my Secret Santa Paws package.  It looks like it has been lost in transit…but will let you know if I get it.
