Stuff going on at my castle

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I know I have been absent for a whole week!! No Monday and no Friday Memes last week. Lots of stuff is going on here in my castle. First of all, Mom L had a cardiac procedure last week to address giving her relief from Atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter junk going on in her heart. She had to spend a whole day and night in that hospital.

During her procedure her careless anesthesiologist didn’t protect her eyes good enough and his little curtain cloth swept across Mom L’s eye and severely scratched her cornea!!

So she woke up with unbelievable pain in her chest from the ablation procedure and she couldn’t explain very well that her left eye felt like it had a wood stake jammed into the corner of it!!!

So by 10 PM that night, the cardiologist Doc finally got the on call eye doc to visit Mom L. He put some ointment in her eye and he then put a patch, taped real tight, on her eye. That gave her enough relief that she could sleep a bit. But you know hospitals—they aren’t a place to get much rest.

So Mom L has to rest her eye and can’t be on the puter very long to write my blog. So we agreed I would tell you what’s going on so’s you don’t think I just up and quit!!!

We think we might do a Friday Memes this coming Friday, but we will see what her eye doc says on Tuesday during her follow up visit.

And Dad P? Well besides taking care of Mom L, the four of us cats ( Me, TKS, Katie and Domino), he has been responding to a call for help to rescue eight kittens and a mom cat that were dumped at our city’s Marina right near my castle. So far, we now have nine kittens, six from one litter and three from an older litter and one of the mom cats. We just caught her today. Our Delta View Cats  nonprofit community cat rescue doesn’t stop just ‘cuz Mom L is in bed!!!

I have my tent made right next to where Mom L has been resting in our bed. And at night I sleep hugged up tight to her chest so’s I can hear her ask for anything.

Please know we miss all of you and we will be back very soon!

What’s crawling outta your kitchen sink?

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Mom L and I let out shrieks when we saw this black sink monster appear comin’ outta our sink just yesterday! Do you have a black sink monster??? Maybe this is like some kind’a kin to that Nessie the lake monster over in Scotland???

Then we got closer and realized that it was just silly man Domino!! Crazypants boycat!!

He climbed outta of the sink finally and then he just sat on the kitchen counter, knowing he was gonna leave his furs on all those clean dishes. He didn’t event look guilty!

Last thing he did was square off in his meatloaf position and stake out what he thought was gonna be his claim to a part of the kitchen counter while Mom L was getting our dinner ready. HAH!!

He was “invited” down with a sweep of Mom L’s hand and when he landed on the floor, he got a sweet of my right paw whap! Why I never ever counter cruised. This boycat has to learn more manners. Right?

Sun puddles galore!

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Once again, sun puddles are the topic of every kitty’s brain in my castle. After our longest California winter with rain and snow in over twenty years, we are finally slamming into our warm seasons! YIPPEE!! I say!! My old arthritic bones really needs Ms. Sun’s caressing warmth.

I wish my fur looked as good as it does in this photo. Truth be told, my gray furs are not handling my old age very well. Mind you, Mom L brushes me every day for many minutes in the morning and evening. But, my furs are indeed showing my age.

Of course Sage aka TKS is also loving that natural heating pad on her coal black furs. She is clearly disappointed when Mom L or Dad P pull our drapes closed to keep that harsh sun from fading everything in our dining room!

You have seen this before, but Katie is still vying with our Foster Reesie for the new sun puddle spot on top of our new couch.

Truth be told, I think Foster Reesie likes the tower, just above Sage’s comfy spot in our dining room, even better than that new couch! MOL!!!

No photos could be taken of my new one year old brofur, Domino. He does not seem to be drawn to our sun puddles?? Weird boy cat!!
