Feed Cats Raw with Easy to Serve Stella & Chewy’s® #chewyinfluencer

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

My long time readers know I, Savannah the Cat, am a connoisseur of raw chik-hen cat food. I totally luvluvluv my complete raw chik-hen. But I was totally up for this product review when Mom L asked me to get some variety in my diet.

I said sure thing. What’cha got for me? She then placed a bowl of Stella & Chewy’s® freeze dried, but reconstituted raw Duck Duck Goose food in front of me. Now she had warmed it up using warm water to make it soft, but kitties, I simply could not do it. I just had to walk away.

But not all is lost on our product review of this easy peasey way to feed kitties quality raw food. The Kid Sage stepped right up and took over this product review.

This is MY product and product review!

This is MY product and product review!

And let me tell you, she totally luvluvluv’d this freeze dried raw cat food. Now this is a really good thing for TKS. You see we just read in our new online e-newsletter from The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University that variety in a cat’s diet can be a good thing.

“A cat willing to eat only one kind of food will be much more difficult to support nutritionally when sick and must be fed a different diet to address his health needs. Some veterinarians are concerned that this practice of serving only one kind of food for years can actually contribute to the development of food allergies in cats or trigger inflammatory bowel disease.

Many experts recommend providing a rotating healthy diet for cats that consists of a variety of food brands and types (canned versus dry). They recommend switching food types and brands at least two to four times annually — as long as your cats are healthy and do not experience any digestive upset. Some cats accept this approach, but if your cat doesn’t eat the new food, do not force the issue by starving him.”

Now we just have to find something for me, HRH Savannah, to add variety to my chik-hen raw food diet.

But back to TKS for her review.

As you can tell from my enjoyment of this delish food, I, TKS the Cat, give this four paws up!

Delish dish!

If you want to hop over to the Stella and Chewy’s site to have a look at all the ingredients go right ahead. But let me tell you that the first five ingredients are gonna catch your attention. The first five ingredients are all raw duck, turkey and goose. The duck is ground with the bone which offers kitties a great source of taurine. I like their website because it gives you tips on how to transition your kitties from whatever they eat now to this new food. Go on over and have a look.

The freeze dried raw comes in several flavors including:

  • Chick, Chick Chicken
  • Sea Licious Salmon and Cod
  • Tummy Ticklin’ Turkey
  • Yummy Lickin’ Salmon and Chicken

All of these flavors are available from Chewy online. If you have never purchased anything from Chewy then you are in for a real treat. First they have great boxes, no matter how big or small!

Love the box

Next, they use all recyclable paper packing material. Even HRH Savannah enjoys a good play with their humongous paper packing!

YAY! Chewy packaging

Be sure to get right online and order from Chewy.com your favorite flavor of Stella & Chewy’s freeze dried raw food.

How We Roll On Togetherness

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Lots of my readers are continuing to hope that one day TKS and I will curl up together. Hate to disappoint, but don’t go gettin’ your knickers in a ruffle ‘cuz that just isn’t how we roll.

Anytime we are together on the same piece of furniture is a moment that gets Mom L and Dad P all excited.

Missed sun puddle

I don’t get it actually, we get on my our king size bed at night, opposite sides of course—we each have our own human to keep warm. Why don’t they take photos of that? Bad lighting?? No wide angle lens?? Don’t wanna use the flash??

But then they have no problem when they find us during the day, na’mean?

uh-oh-turnover

Why do YOU think they don’t ever take photos of me and TKS at night when we make Mom L the filling in our “kitty-cat sandwich”??

PAW PATS, SAVANNAH

Pee Ess—I am sending my best paw pats to all of you who have been supportin’ me and Mom L in our SECOND CALL TO ACTION efforts on behalf of the community cats on Kauai.  We are workin’ hard to respond to all your tweets, Face Book shares and blog posts. We sent off our second letter to that dang Feral Cat Ordinance Committee today.

Pee Ess Ess—And I have not forgotten I owe you an update on Momma Kat (click on her name to view my blog post about her, you won’t regret the time, purromise) and the contents of her Hope Chest. I am just wait’in on a couple of more items to be delivered and it is complete. Mom L and I are in contact with her foster human Mr. Devin and Bright Haven weekly. She will never leave my Paw It Forward radar until she is in her well deserved forever home.

Brief Kauai Community Cat Update #nationalferalcatday

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I am back again with a brief update on the situation relative to Kauai’s community cats. Thus far, the Feral Cat Ordinance Committee has failed to acknowledge to anyone and certainly not a media source, that the committee members are receiving multiple emails from around the world questioning their committee’s hidden meetings.

YAY for feral cats

Mom L and Dad P have been proudly wearing their T-shirts from Alley Cat Allies for a month now! They both wore them on October 9, 2016 at the SNIP clinic and all the volunteers appreciated them!

My hero! He found me even though I was hiding

My hero!

I, Savannah the Cat, ask that you do not allow the “tourist paradise island of Kauai” to keep their darkest desire hidden. Cats were not a voluntary “invasive” species. Humans brought them and humans continue to fail to spay and neuter. Simple, easy. Please help.

Can you really look at these community cats’ eyes and tell them you will not be their voice on National Feral Cat Day?

The update on the Kauai Community Cat Project is this—even though their President Basil Scott continues to produce solid research as a basic need to determine the REAL impact of community cats on the island’s bird population, he meets with resistance and denial.

I hope you will read the article in The Garden Island newspaper. More importantly, please comment on this article AFTER you read President Basil Scott’s letter to the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources.

I once again ask that every pal who reads my #nationalferalcatday blog post also send an email to all members of the Feral Cat Ordinance Committee. Let’s make sure they know their secrecy is being observed around the world.

Let me know in comments if you are willing to SHARE and/or also send a message to this committee.
