Thursday Purrsday

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Urgent Request

Urgent Request

Alright furriends, we have some serious purrring to get going. Our pal Brian, and his Sisters’ Gracie, Kitt, Precious, Sascha, Zoe and Dolly all have asked us to help a special feline friend of theirs in great need.

Brian helps so many, cats and even woofies too…and asks for little in return.  This time they are all asking us, their Paw Blog buddies, to help them spread the word about…

SCUTTLES

DSC_0699-1200-300x199

Brian first posted about Scuttles earlier this week and he had this to say about her injuries and how she came to be in such a bad state…

“The owner of the farm where Scuttles has been living lost his wife last year and he is an elderly man who lives alone. He fell and broke his hip and is in the bed home from the hospital on pain meds recovering. Scuttles was the official greeter of all who come and go on the property. She has to get her pets from everyone. She never ventures out into the road, but now people are coming and going all day long to take care of the man, maids, home health aids, etc.

Last Tuesday someone ran over Scuttles. The dogs were barking at something that had crawled under the porch, and it turns out it was Scuttles. She was badly hurt….”

Scuttles has undergone surgery to pin her broken bones and has been returned to her home with a caretaker for her to have quiet cage rest. Brian posted this update: “We still don’t know about any nerve damage or incontinence at this juncture but she is better much better and she is not eating yet having to be force fed…”

Brian, his sisters and their human guardians help so many in need…they do so quietly…and do not ask for anything in return other than being able to experience a cat happily placed in a forever home or perhaps healed from a traumatic injury such as precious Scuttles.

I am asking all of us in Blogville to respond to Brian’s Home request and share about Scuttles wide and far. Not everyone has green papers to spare…but as my pal Nerissa is always reminding me…”SHARING SAVES LIVES”

If our purrrs and prayers are answered, Scuttles will recover completely.  And then…she will be in urgent need of a permanent forever home ASAP! She MUST remain an inside cat the rest of her life to keep her safe; she is such a little lady weighing only six pounds and full grown.  And, as you can see, Scuttles is a black panfur just like my sisfur The Kid Sage.

Thank you my pals…I, Savannah, owe you all big time for all the sharing and donations you have already offered…and now I ask for even more. Let’s help Brian and his Sisters bring Scuttles through this painful time.

I am so very thankful to have my permanent home, and am learning to share it with my sister The Kid Sage…please click on the badge to join Pepi Smart Dog’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

Monday Meowsie News…zippo

Savannah’Disclaimer: I, Savannah, had NOTHING to do with scheduling this post. Mom has lost it, she thought Sunday WAS Monday

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!! (sort of)

You know I like to be an original cat writer.  I don’t snatch others’ ideas and pretend they are my own.  No siree…I give credit where credit is due.

And today I am giving credit to my pal Spitty…I am totally snatching his idea from this past week…I am starting to paw out grades for Mom and  Dad.  Just because they are doing all this catsulting work for some university does NOT mean they can ask for simple PASS or FAIL grades…heh…heh…nope!

I also will not be grading them on a curve.  Just take a look at the “photos” Mom had for me to use today for my blog post…outrageous I say!! Not a single one in decent focus!!

Me doing some snoopervising of the table clean up…they keep leaving all their papers up there…sheeesh…

Mom finally did one little thing for me…I stopped using my pink Princess bed…so she got me a new soft blankie to attract me back…but could she 1) place it inside nice and tidy and 2) take a photo, in focus,  of me using it again?? NO!  again, a sure sign of the grades to come soon for her.

Out of focus again

Out of focus again

Then she intrudes on me while I am napping in my fave box…she was in a hurry, take a photo quick, quick, quick just to give me something…who needs it I say…I should have just skipped today’s post…another embarrassing photo…

Seriously?

Seriously?

As for Dad, he is late, late, late with meal delivery.  I have to wait for him to get my breakfast and my dinner to me…*slaps paw to forehead* I am so gonna have to train him all over again…What Mom ???…oh…well, ummmmmm…ahhhhhh….well, yeah…he does bring my first course with my Mira Lax in my delish pumpkin soup directly to me in bed, true, true…BUT…he is usually at least 42 1/2 seconds LATE!

What about my dinner delivery Mom?…huh?…oh…ummm….ok, ok…he does also deliver my first course at dinner directly to me wherever I am…on the couch, by my step…but again…I have been checking and he is probably way beyond 53 seconds late doing that; so there!!!

Fine, fine…Dad may be getting better grades than you…thank Ceiling Cat he doesn’t try to take photos of me…I will be delivering grades for Mom and Dad once they finish this catsulting work…between now and then…my blog posts are so not gonna be pretty…na’mean???

Friday Frolics

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!! Not a lot of frolics going on around here…except for The Kid Sage of course. I have been having some fun checking out the controls in my Three Way Teleport Tunnel…Mom caught me doing some fine tuning on the space time continuum calibrations…getting ready for our next search for the elusive long forgotten Necata canipbis…but I am totally digressing…ahem…

What? The space time calibrations need some work!

What? The space time calibrations need some work!

I have also been making sure everything around my step is in order and no one has made any adjustments in the height…I would totally know because then my front legs would like be dangling or something…

Yup, just the right height

Yup, just the right height

It has been pretty tiring doing all that work so I of course have been doing some of my frolics on my back…na’mean???

Frolic, frolic, frolic...zzzzzzz

Frolic, frolic, frolic…zzzzzzz

Ahem, koff, koff…moving on… Mom visited her friend Dr Josie, (Dr Josie was my Vet before she retired), and she got a great look at one of Dr Josie’s 6 cats being hospitable to a wee kitten she is fostering for a couple of weeks. The adult cat is 12 year old Captain Folker, of The Kitty Platoon

captain fokker uniform

and the kitten is a foster …Princess Violetta who is all of about 10 weeks old.

She has been running with the Captain and his other indoor brothers for a couple of weeks…she had a promised home…but they said they couldn’t take her right away for two weeks..then they abandoned her..”she is too small”…WHAT?.

CAN YOU BELIEVE???…anyway, she has already developed a long list and now down to a short list of adopters and will be headed to her forever home next week…but not before Mom got these shots ala silhouette…(click to bigify and see whole captions)

Well all is well that ends in a hiss I say…and I have some recent experience with that as you know…heh…heh…Princess Violetta took off after one of the other Kitty Platoon members and the Captain returned to his nap.  The Princess has selected one suitor to entertain over the weekend…she will likely be in her forever castle ASAP!!

I have been saving some photos of The Kid Sage until Mom Linda was like TOTALLY DESPERATE for something to post on my blog…she truly is a crazy sisfur…yeah, yeah…I allowed her on my king size bed this morning without a hiss, TWICE…guess she is gonna wanna be my sisfur…bummer, huh?…heh…heh

peeEss...The Kid Sage has a harness to play with…ok…to be tortured trained with because it appears she may, just may have some inclination toward being a therapy cat.  Only time and Dad’s love and training will tell…but she is so amazingly confident, yet gentle and trusting of all humans…it is a possibility…and well…Mom and I decided Dad needed a new project!!!!!!!!
