Sharing My Mom and Dad…

Hiya! Savannah Here!

You all know I am a Momma’s cat…no shame in that…and I love my Dad too…but Mom and I are like tied at the heart for sure! Me to her and her to me…really nice…

…I trust Mom and Mom trusts me…

…to snuggle with Mom and be snuggles by Mom…the best!…

…Mom is relaxed when she touches me and I relax at her touch…

Anyways, for the next 10 days I am gonna have to share not only Dad, but Mom.  We have my Auntie Claudia with us now, and then next week a former consulting colleague is coming to visit with Mom.  Her name is Easter…isn’t that the nicest name??!!

Auntie Claudia was here last Christmas right about when Mom and Dad were still fostering me.  I liked her then and let her touch me.  And this morning, I actutally got back in bed with Mom and Auntie Claudia while they shared the newspapers and catching up on each other’s lives.

See, they have this routine when she comes to visit…Dad gets up (and of course feeds me FIRST THING!) and gets Mom’s and Auntie Claudia’s coffee.

Then Dad sits in the chair next to the bed, and Auntie Claudia comes down and climbs in with Mom…then they all 3 watch the morning news, share newspapers and visit…they laugh lots, and catch up.  Auntie Claudia is Mom and Dad’s adopted god-daughter.  She is only 37 years old and she used to pet sit my” before me” cat brothers and sister when they lived in Southern California.  That is where Auntie Claudia still lives.

So…I was pretty much left alone most of yesterday, what with doing their volunteer cleaning work at Kitty Corner, then collecting Auntie Claudia at the airport, then they met up with Miss Chrissy…she manages Kitty Corner where I was living when Mom and Dad found me.

They all went to something last night called a “Niner’s Game”…not sure what it was all about…but based on the photos, I think they had a spectacular (vocab builder project VBP) time!!

That’s Auntie Claudia in front, then Miss Chrissy and then MOM!…they are wearing a bunch of San Francisco 49’ers gear…that’s an NFL football team here in the USA in case no one else know that…I CERTAINLY DID NOT…and still don’t really care…’cuz they left me home alone….hangs head, covers eyes with paws…sniffle, sniffle…

Now I am taking my nap in my Bird Watching Tower…and they are all going somewhere…Mom thinks it is good for me to learn to have someone visit…she thinks I need to ‘get used’ to other people…and I ask “why???”…just sayin’…

Hope you all have a great Friday and an especially wonerful weekend…

Practice Makes Purrfect…

Hiya! Savannah Here!

It has been a while since I practiced my Kill A Toy moves…you remember…I learned this from Mama Cat over at The Blog of Otis.

Now Mama Cat uses this technique in her Catlympic training camp…but I have found it is just as applicable (Vocab builder project VBP) in my efforts to Kill A Toy too.

Mama Cat teaches us to:

Watch…this means making sure you know what you want to destroy and keep it in focus…

Anticipate…here you have to be able to plot out where the toy will move it next…

Act (showing a kill face)…finally, attack with all your best ferociousness, and always, always have a very believable KILL FACE on…very impawtant

Mom helped my out by being my Toy Handler…

WATCH…look at that direct eye contact!…

Anticipate(shhhhh…but notice the concentration and focus)

ACT…(show Kill Face)…OH CAT!…I had it!!!…that was a great Kill A Toy  training session…

…pheww!!!…I had to get some water and a towel and go cool down after that Kill A Toy training session.  Mom did a good job keeping the toy moving in unexpected directions…

But as you can see…I have studied Mama Cat’s technique, Watch, Anticipate, Act and I am quickly honing (vocab builder project VBP) my skills…I anticipate many dedded toys in the near future…hear that Dad???

I’m gonna need some new toys pretty soon…just sayin’…
