Happy Tails Endings Are the Best!

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

You are for sure going to totally enjoy a couple of happy tail ending rescue stories I have to share with you today.

Are you ready to do some Happy Dancing??

Are you ready to do some Happy Dancing??

My former rescue shelter Kitty Corner recently sent out some Happy Tails Ending updates that I know you will want to hear about. This is what Miss Chrissy, the Adoption Manager for Kitty Corner told us:

“There were  two brothers who’d been bottle fed by a woman and lived in a topsoil yard for the first year of their life.  When customers complained about the “presents” Hank & Rocky would leave in their topsoil purchases (world’s biggest litter boxes), they were trapped and brought to Animal Services.  Each were adopted and both returned; one for having bitten and one for scratching (they adopted one to a 90-year-old woman who’d poke at the cat with her cane when he hid under the bed!) .Miss Sue, a volunteer at the county Animal Services hoped they could remain together.  She brought each over to Kitty Corner after their quarantine periods were done.

They didn’t hang out here together at all oddly, especially given their Happy Tails Ending.  A couple applied to adopt them both before an adoption event, and since this was their first cat, they ended up just deciding to adopt Rocky at the event. But they fell so in love with him and his awesome disposition that two months later, when they felt they could easily manage a second cat, they came back and adopted Hank. And now the two brothers are reunited and couldn’t be happier together.  Love times a million!”

The boys new guardians sent this fun update to Miss Chrissy:

Hope you are doing well! Thompson and I just wanted to give you an update on the boys adjustment with living together. Chrissy, you have no idea. Saying they are best friends is an understatement. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER! I swear I will come home, and they are always snuggled up next to each other! I attached a couple of photos of them snuggled up together! At night when Thompson and I go to sleep, they are running wild all over the house playing with each other. Sometimes, we wake up, and all we hear is sprinting back and forth from them playing together with their toys.”

Next we had another update from Miss Chrissy about a sweet Moma kitty who Mom L actually was able to have a meet and greet with. She was barely a year old and pregnant, with SEVEN kittens! The people with whom she lived owner surrendered her and the kittens to the County Animal Shelter. Miss Chrissy was thrilled to scoop them all up and bring them to Kitty Corner.

All the kittens were adopted, but Snow White (the shelter named her that as she had 7 kittens MOL). Finally her day did come and her new guardians sent this update and photos of Sansa aka Snow White.

Sansa at home at last

This is from Snow White’s mom, who’s renamed her Sansa.  “She’s doing great and is really warming up to their German Shepherd teenage dog, who’s super cat-savvy.”  Miss Chrissy has spoken with her a lot since adoption and she’s very happy with Snow White aka Sansa.

Isn’t she just the most gorgeous calico/tortie combo!

Hope you now have a great big smile on your faces and have started to do your Happy Dance. RESCUES ROCK!!!

Many more Happy Tails Endings are needed so please be sure to always SHARE SHARE SHARE when someone posts about a cat or dog in need of a home…let’s all do more Paw It Forward!

pawty dance floor

We are doing our HAPPY PAW DANCE…because one of my Paw It Forward ‘Adult Cat Rescues’ is…

….wait for it…wait for it….are you waiting????…

TINY IS GOING HOME FOREVER!!!

I love you

I love you

Some of you may have missed my other posts about sweet Miss Tiny…click HERE and HERE to check out her story.

Tiny is one of the only cats at my former rescue shelter to have surpassed my landmark stay of 12 months…Miss Tiny was a resident for approximately 18 months…consistently passed over as I…and while I was stand off’ish out of fear…sweet Tiny begged for attention and love…and yet she was always left behind.

Personally, I believe that is because Miss Tiny’s PERFECT forever home was still searching for her…and now they have found her!!!

And yes, she is taking her pawsome SINK BED, generously donated through the kindness of both Hauspanther, for reaching out to the vendor, and Little Cat Design.

Smells strange...not like my own sink

Smells strange…not like my own sink

Miss Tiny was infamous with all staff and volunteers due to her love of visiting everyone who entered her bathroom…

Come on in, I wont bite

Come on in, I wont bite

So get those dancing paws moving…and let’s celebrate for MISS TINY WHO IS GOING HOME!!

Let’s Paw It Forward Again!!!

Now we are re-starting our rumbling purrs here at Castle Savannah for our pal Tigger…I introduced him a while ago…we grabbed him from being killed at the county shelter…found a temp foster for 2 weeks…and while there…Tigger ate some artificial plant arrangement left in the bathroom where he was confined for his first night…and that has caused him to have ongoing health issues for over 4 weeks…click HERE to read about Tigger when we first found him.

ahhh...nice...

ahhh…nice…

If you have artificial arrangements, please consider removing them.  Tigger is TEN YEARS old…yet when left in a small space overnight, he became bored, and explored…and chomped on the plastic arrangement…

Tigger stopped eating, became constipated…then began to vomit out pieces of this artificial arrangement…and we learned finally what was causing him to be losing weight and not eating.  He eventually began to show some blood in his stool…and so after he was transferred to his SECOND temporary foster…he spent the night at the vet to receive several enemas.

Tigger is now in his THIRD foster home…hopefully he will be able to remain here until he is able to find his final permanent home.

Here are some new photos of the most affable, loving, playful and total lapcat you will ever find…

PLEASE…SHARE SHARE SHARE TIGGER...he desperately wants to settle down and just love and be loved.

The Generosity of Others: Monday Meowsie News

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I have a couple of newsie items I have been holding onto until ‘the‘ right time to share them with you.  In fact, I have had them stashed in my Three Way Teleport Tunnel, where I keep important items for safe keeping.

savvy keeping under wraps

Today is ‘that‘ right time. And both pieces of news have to do with others showing generosity toward us…meaning me, The Kid Sage and a sweet adult rescue cat named Tiny who is awaiting her forever family.

I have introduced Tiny to you once before. You can click HERE to refresh your memory.

If you recall, Tiny has now been at my former shelter for over a year. Like me, she keeps getting passed over. She is a cat who thrives on human interaction and contact. She has been living in the staff offices for several months now and her job, as she sees it, is to accompany anyone who enters the toilet facility to insure that they are not alone and that they come out alive.

Seriously, Tiny is a “sink cat” par excellence! (click photos to view complete captions please)

Given Tiny’s preference for visiting with humans while she is ensconced in the sink…I had a totally brilliant idea…Tiny needs something in her “Hope Chest” to take along with her to her home when her forever family finally comes to collect her…so I sent Mom L off to get Tiny her very own Sink Bed.

Our warmest thanks go to these humans who made this possible:

Miss Kate Benjamin of Hauspanther who responded immediately to Mom L’s request for information as to who to contact…Miss Kate volunteered to give the vendor a shout out.  And they responded with this email to Mom L…

“Send us the shipping address and we will get Tiny’s bed into production”…just like that!!! …no green papers exchanged hands!  What generous people.  So a huge big paw hug and thank you for the owners of Little Cat Design.

The bed arrived and Mom L let The Kid Sage do product inspection…

Yep...looks the right size to me

Yep…looks the right size to me

And it was delivered by Mom L and Dad P to Tiny at Kitty Corner…first they placed it in ‘her’ sink thinking she would just hop right in…heh…heh…

What is that?!!

What is that?!!

Next they asked her to inspect it while it sat on a chair…

Needless to say, Tiny’s new bed is being kept safe so it doesn’t get broken before her new family, when they find her, can take it home with Tiny.

PLEASE…help Tiny send out more “special Tiny energy” into the universe so her family can find her…SHARE…SHARE…SHARE…on your blogs, Twitter and Face Book…

Now my second Meowsie News is about the generosity shown by my long time pals, Archie, Oscar and Henry from My Three Moggies.  We started blogging about the same time and have been pals ever since. I am embarrassed to say that I do not even recall “WHY” I received this prezzie from them…I recall that I won something or someone asked that their win be sent to me???

Anyway…this wonderful bunch of goodness arrived and I let The Kid Sage do the honors of checking out the contents…guess what she caught her laser focus???…

Thanks lots Archie, Henry and Oscar for thinking of us and for sending such tasty and fun prezzies…

Paw Pats, Savannah
