Holiday Gift For My Virtual Brother Boots

Hiya! Savannah Here!

My special furriends, Mistletoe and Hitch, are the only ones who guessed right…indeed (VBP)…my virtual brother Boots, who lives at Blind Cat Sanctuary and Rescue, in North Carolina USA, is the special, special furriend and furramily member who will get that large box for Christmouse!

I helped Mom shop for the 3 things we put in that box.

HOW DID YOU PAY! YOU ALL ASK!!!…heh…heh…it pays to have a friend in a high…well, ok…maybe not ‘high’…but a peep friend who has influence at a high level in an on line cat and dog product company.

In November, Mr Brent and Ms Melissa offered me an opportunity to ‘shop’ on their ‘dime’…at their company, Chewy.com…they gave me a $50 promo code to use as I purrleased. They only asked that I meow a bit about my on line shopping experience …which I will do in a later post. I decided to use part of the promo code moola to get my virtual brother, Boots, his Christmouse gifts to experience how well Chewy could send to one location when being purchased by someone in a different location…so…without any more explanation…

This post is all about BOOTS!

Alright, so I helped Mom shop at Chewy, then we waited…and my package finally arrived and I needed to get it wrapped and off again via postal service so Boots would receive it before Christmouse!

First, I had to make sure that everything was all there…I bought 3 things…I picked a Nip Kickaroo, a nip mouse and a really nice angled cardboard scratcher…I thought he would like to sharpen up his claws for that Kickaroo!!

…then I had to wash my paws…I didn’t want to get anything dirty…I had just had my night noms, so didn’t want to get Fancy Feast on anything…

…next…would it all fit??…first…how long is this Kickaroo??…hmmmm…

…ok, now if I add the Nip Mouse…

…yeah, this is looking pawsome!…next…making sure I have everything I need to complete the package…tape, check; card, check; scratcher, check; scissors, check; Kickaroo and Nip Mouse, check; and wrapping paper, check…

…ok…let’s get going Mom…I have the scissors…let’s do some cutting!!!…

…now…let me make sure that box is going to be OK…I better get inside to check the dimensions (VBP)…

…yup…looking good…oh wait a minute! MOUSES!..I better not leave any smells…let me just do a quik tidy up…

…okey dokey…that about does that…let me just take a look see…ok, ok…not bad…

…I think this box is ready, the gifts are going to fit nicely…my work is done…MOM!!! DAD!!!…

…I am hoping that Miss Alana at Blind Cat Rescue will send me some photos of Boots enjoying his virtual sister’s Christmouse gifts…but…they are really busy…so I’ll let you know…

Friday Frolic…and an update

Hiya! Savannah Here!

Well, let me get the “UPDATE” out of the way…it’s about the Blog of the Year 2012 Award. I was fretting (VBP) about not being able to get my award filled after I got my first star from Zena…but Misaki was gracious (VBP) enough to gently remind me…she also passed a star to me early on when this award first appeared…so the UPDATE…

Misaki, passed me the Blog of the Year Award on November 16 and also to Zena…Zena then passed it to me next day..all while Mom was in MEXICO…you know where the mess up comes from, right???

Now really, cross my paws over my heart…this is all Mom’s fault…she was in Mexico and not taking care of keeping my blog sorted out properly…so she MISSED posting that I have my FIRST star from Misaki and my SECOND star from Zena…we lady paw bloggers stick together…and purrlease note that they are both canine furriends…play bows to both.

My Mom even wrote my comment to Misaki:

“Squeeeeee!! A BRAND NEW AWARD AND NEW BLOGS TO VISIT!! Doesn’t get better than this…CONCATULATIONS MISAKI!…OMC! It does get better…YOU PASSED IT TO ME!….thank you ever so much…I know there are a kazillion others who are so deserving….runs off to make list to pass the award along…..how fun is this award!! Woo Hoo, paw pats, Savannah”

…but did she text me so I could keep the record straight??? Noooooo!!

So, I have FIVE and Sammy left me a comment giving me my Sixth!! DONE

Ok…on to the FROLICS FOR FRIDAY…and it involves what???…YES! My Peacock Feather!!

…What Mom???…Oh, sure…I have time to play with you…let me just finish up my workout here on the step…OK…let’s go…

…I like to keep up my precise paw coordination by sometimes going for the feather blind…keeping my head in the tunnel to see if I can still hit the feather…

…then I get Mom to run it under my Nip ‘N Nap Mat…so I can go for the feather even when it is hidden…sometimes I have to put the bitey on the mat ‘cuz it doesn’t cooperate…

…then I do my kill face to scare the feather…

…that usually does it…the feather is then dedded…just sayin’…I am one expert Peacock Feather killer…hear me ROAR!!!…heh…heh

One last thing…remember yesterday I gave a little teaser about a special Christmas package I was helping Mom wrap up…well no one guessed right so far about who that package is for…so here is the hint from yesterday…

…remember?…here is another one…

…I challenge everyone to guess who this special package is for…and there is more…see that box? That’s the one I used to send it. I will tell the WHOLE story on Sunday…bet’cha NO ONE gets it right…unless you have been paying attention to the special furriend in my life…

Thankful For Furriends

Hiya! Savannah Here!

My thankfulness is a bit lighter note today…it is about being humbled by the thoughtfulness of my furriends when they do something special for me. I know lots of awards go around and some of us pawticipate and others don’t, and that’s peachy keen fine I think. Our paw blog community is diverse and that’s how it outta be…IMHO.

So you saw my Mom’s first attempt at doing a holiday photo edit of me with a Santa hat. Well, out of the ‘cloud’ I received an email from my very good gurl furriend Cathy Keisha…you know she is the furriend who got me to the Peacock Feathers…and then my Mom bought the Peacock Feather Holiday Wreath…just for me.

Well look what Cathy Keisha and TW fixed up just for ME!

PAWSOME!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Most of you know about the 2012 Blog of the Year Award circulating…you need to collect 6 Stars from 6 different bloggers to make it complete. I was so fortunate I got my award and first star from Princess Zena…purrrrrs to you PZ…and I passed it back to her as the Rules request.

Then I never received it again and realized I had passed it to mostly furriends who don’t typically (VBP) take part in receiving, passing and posting awards, which is OK. It just meant I wasn’t ever going to get my award completed, so I started to take it off my blog page when WHAMMO!!

I got TWO more STARS!!! One from Nissy, my very good mancat furriend at Nerissa’s Life, and of course I am sending one back to him, even tho’ I am sure his Award is complete already. And next day…another WHAMMO! I got a third Star from Speedy, my bunny pal from Speedy the Cheeky House Bunny.

For Henry, at My Three Moggies, and he can share with Archie and Oscar if he wants, but Henry has a bad boo boo and I think he needs a Blog of the Year Star Award all for himself to make him feel better…purrrrs Henry.

For my Champion Jetty, Hey, It’s Jet Here!…a ladycat needs her Champion and I know Jetty ALWAYS has my back and looks out for me…play bows Jetty.

For a new furriend for many of us in the paw blog community, Miss Nylablue…she was so brave to step forward and share her Real Rescue Cats Are Talking Interview with all of us on my post Tuesday…I want her to end 2012 with a BANG!!…let’s all try to get her Star Award filled with all 6 stars before year’s end, ‘KAY?

For my New York pal, Texas, whose huMom has been dragging her toes and paws getting his post done for ALL the awards he is collecting…so I thought I would toss this one on top of the bunch…MOL
