CHOW CALL!!!: Monday Meowsie News

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Betcha when Mr Chewy over at Chewy.com asked me to do this little product review…he never ever imagined the lengths I would go to in order to deliver a fair review…heh…heh

chewy review 01

I thought I would receive a couple of cans of something…it sounded pretty interesting when Mr Chewy asked me to have a go at tasting it. Oh My Cat! Mr Chewy sent me not one, not two cans…but 24!!!

So you can see why I needed to make that list of the other pals I could get to join in this review.  And the guys over at The Kitty Platoon…well…there are SIX of them so surely I could get a couple of them to join in.  And Cuzin Leo has a very selective palate so he needed to be asked too.

The food is a new product from Wellness…and I receive 24 containers of their Divine Duos…with chicken pate and diced turkey…

So of course, as I am ‘THE’ primary writer and the owner of this blog…I had to give it a try first…

For me…THREE paws up

Next I called The Kid Sage over…she is not very discriminatory about what she plants her face in when it comes to food…and she did not disappoint in giving the Divine Duos a try.

The Kid Sage gives it FOUR big paws up…
(she scooped the last bits out using her ‘paw fork’)

Next we put the Divine Duos to its toughest taste test…among a platoon of cats with varying palates…enter The Kitty Platoon taste testing…

Kitty Platoon gives SIXTEEN paw up

Not done yet folks…next is my Cuzin Leo.  And truth be told…he just barely submitted his final taste testing getting his photo shoot in to me under the wire…we were already about to publish and the sound of incoming email caught my attention…Cuzin Leo is too obsessed with that Gnome situation over at his place…just sayin’…anyways…here is his assessment…

And that would be a HUGE  FOUR paw up from Cuzin Leo

Let me see…16+4+3+4=27 PAWS UP

Not bad at all…I sure do hope Mr Chewy gets to read this review.  I sure had fun getting all my pals and furramily together to do it.

Here are some facts I found when I visited the Wellness website:

For Me? You’re Kidding, Right?!!: Friday Frolics

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

A day like any other

And then…”IT” arrived…

INTROODER ALERT!!!

INTROODER ALERT!!!

We left you last Friday with the following video …if you watched already…no need to do so again…same video…

This is a photo of our first recorded interaction…”Morning With Mom”

Dateline Nov 5, 2013…4 days after “IT” arrived

…….ten days later…after they tried to coerce me to smell her…HAH!…she has now heard my hisser when I set it on LOUD! note the dates, and click to bigify

…and then …she tries again…different position…same tactic…stoopid kid…

Things just kept getting more and more interesting…and my growls and snarls and hisses more and more loud and often…

Nov 16...hisssssss

Nov 16…hisssssss

…by the way…there are no photos from mid January 2014 until about March 2014.  Mom L and Dad P were gone for almost a month…another ‘Get Away’…seriously?!

They got what they deserved upon returning…heh…heh…

and now things really start to change…

The month of June, 2014…has seen Sage learn to be more respectful of my privacy and my own space…and I…well…I have begun to learn I can move around even in her presence and still be safe…I still have to use my hisser to make sure she knows I want space…but she is hearing me loud and clear…thank Ceiling Cat!

And now for our big breakthrough…June 17…Mom L and Dad P left us alone, together, for the very first time ever and went to the gym…they worried about Savvy ending up under the bed or behind the couch…but they knew from everything all of you taught them…they had to try…and let us girls sort ourselves out…

And here we are …once again…June 17, 2014…right where we started Nov  5, 2013…if only the humans would learn…heh…heh…

Head bonks, The Kid Sage

Tossed Away: Thursday Purrsday

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!

This is my unhappy look

This is my unhappy look

First of all…this story has a VERY happy ending.  My purrs are cranked to high along with The Kid Sage because Mom L told us about the incredible rescue of these precious kittens when they were just about 2 weeks old…

Dumped Alive in Dumpster

Dumped Alive in Dumpster

They are about 4 weeks old in this photo…my former Vet Doc Josie, retired but not out of being a cat specialist…she fostered them for a week and Mom L went up to meet and hold them.

They, along with two other siblings, were discarded alive in a large garbage (rubbish) dumpster.  A volunteer from Community Concern for Cats (CC4C) heard them and found them…they were covered in food and garbage. Likely they had not been there too long…hours, not days, as they were not too badly dehydrated.  Unfortunately, two of them died.

These two, however, are now doing well.  The black kitten had to have sub-q fluids which Doc Josie administered…and he was touch and go over about 15 hours.  Doc Josie was feeding him every 3 or so hours.  She thinks he is doing great now! They are both eating kitten wet cat food like champs.

This is a slideshow of the two surviving kittens…they appear a bit dirty..but they are receiving constant sponge baths..besides being messy eaters…they were, after all, tossed out as trash in a garbage dumpster.
