HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I can only apologize for this post…Mom was desperate…I have not posted for a couple of days and she is convinced NO ONE will remember me…so she just had to do this post for Saturday Photo Hunt…COPPER…sigh….give me a break…just cuz she went to CAL in the 60’s…she just HAD to make me wear this stoopid hat…hope I don’t get caught by a real ‘coper’…

Copper Saturday Photo Hunt

…and I am sure WordPress will now cancel my blog ‘cuz Mom Linda did not learn enough about using photos off Google…well…she did take notes…just can’t read her own handwriting…sheeesh!!!

We won’t be doing this again…using Google photos…we now know that it is not “free” and we need to learn how to find the source and ask permission…thank COD for Blog Paws Learning…WHAT??!!!…MOM!!!  Who is at the door???  What do they want ????…MOUSES!!!  They have nets and PTU’s…(wringing paws)

The ending in a later post…heh…heh…

What Mom??…oh…OK…you can have my post right now…

Hi, Mom Linda here.  First let me thank everyone who participated in the incredible Save Leo Campaign mounted by one of Savannah’s very best UK furriends and his sidekick…Alfie and Mollie.  I was off to Blog Paws Conference when Miss Stella told me that she was going to do an auction and raffle to help support Leo’s medical costs; click HERE for the winners.  I was flabbergasted and humbled all at the same time…and I could not do anything as I was traveling for a week.  And Mollie sacrificed her very fave and special bra for this auction…what a girl furriend she is…

Mollies bra

Savannah and I will have a proper post up next Thankful Thursday about all of this.  Let me just update everyone on Leo.  He is now back with us…living in Peter’s office…so he has company periodically all day.  He is more energetic; but has nausea issues yet to deal with.  He is still not eating on his own. Otherwise, he appears to not have any other underlying issues our vet or a radiologist can find through ultrasound.  We are very hopeful that he will start eating on his own, but only time will tell.

I will make sure Savvy can give you all much more news in the next week. She has so missed visiting all her furriends and she knows she has missed impawtant events and she is very upset with Mom Linda for failing to help her post more regularly and visit more often.

Please do not hold my, Mom Linda’s, failings against Savannah’s Paw Tracks.  Savvy is still very committed to animal rescue and especially working hard to help all the adult cats, dogs, bunnies, horses, etc. who are in need of help…even though they are older than a year or so…they so deserve to have happy furrever homes…Savvy’s work has only begun.  She has much in store to build her blog to help animal rescue over the next year.  I, Mom Linda, hope you will all stick with her to see what she has up her tail…heh…heh”

…and this is what she thinks of having a temporary foster brofur…

Seriously...he's back???

Seriously…he’s back???

Sigh…we do have many challenges…but we are all committed to making sure Leo thrives.

Please stay tuned for more from Savannah…I am just overwhelmed with how much care Leo needs.  He must be fed every 4 hours from 8 am to 8 pm.  Making the mixture that can be fed through his feeding tube is a challenge for Peter and I as newbies to this level of care; we have never ever had to do this before for any of our cats nor Sibes.  But Leo is such a great positive thinking kitteh…he purrs, then sleeps during feeding. He is a joy and we hope he can find a furrever home very soon once he is over this syndrome.  We would love to keep him here…but Savannah is having many problems and we will not sacrifice her recovery progress after 17 months of hard work on her part.  And Leo will have a purrfect home as our vet, Dr Ellis, who owns Civic Feline Clinic,  and Leo’s shelter Contra Costa Humane Society will make sure of that.

For now, he is safe and loved with Savannah, Peter and me and everyone at Civic Feline Clinic and Contra Costa Humane Society…and all of the PAWSOME Savannah furriends who worked so hard on the SAVE LEO CAMPAIGN.   Please take this lovely badge created by Savvy’s furriend Misaki and post it on your blog, or Tweet it or share it on your Face Book page.  Help keep Leo’s challenges alive and help others learn about the dangers of Fatty Liver Syndrome in cats.

Ok Savvy…back to you...

Thanks Mom!  So all I can say is…I am trying…but it is hard.

Monday Meowsie News…and Leo

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Mom is still gone…she is visiting our new great niece in upstate New York…but she did send me some photos from Blog Paws.

I was able to teleport to Blog Paws for a couple of the presentations and i got to meet my BFGF Cathy Keisha!!  how cool is that??

I even met up with my good furriend Nerissa and we played with some of the vendors’ Products in the Cat Lounge…

The other news about me is mostly a video for you to check out…this is one of the many ways I just luvluvluv to play using the step up and down between our living room and dining room…you know…I’m thinkin’ that step was probably put there just for me…don’t you think so too??

No, no…seriously…it was like it was planned or something…it is just the right size for me…just high enough and just wide enough to use as a great fitness tool.  Anywho…here’s a look at some of my moves using that step…think maybe I’m gonna call it the Savannah Step Pump…hmmmm…wonder if I could market and sell it as a fitness program and the step is the equipment…(pads off to make notes on iPad…using Dad’s hand-me-down cuz Mom took mine to Blog Paws)

Now just to make sure you know I also have my sensitive side…and that I also try my paws at some art every now and then…this is how I like to create wall art using my iPad…

And here is the completed piece of art…

Pawsome even if I do say so myself…heh…heh…

LEO UPDATE!!

Now…for the Leo update…first some photos from his feeding on Wednesday May 15 with Mom and Dad…

Good news: Leo had some blood work done today, May 15, and it is much improved. He is less yellow in his ears, eyes, gums and lips. Not so good…he must, simply must start eating on his own volition…he is not out of danger until he can do that…purrrs, arwooos, whiffles, neighs, squeeks, woofs…all are needed to motivate him to eat on his own.

Now for the great news!!  My buddies Alfie and Mollie (and of course Mum Stella) are holding an auction AND a raffle to help raise funds for Leo’s medical care.  Click HERE to visit their site today Monday May 20 to learn more about this pawsome event!!

peeEss…Mom and Dad donated more hand painted cat and woofie stones!!!

Thankful Again…and My Garden Is Growing

HIYA !!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Once again…it is a Thankful Thursday…and I send many APAWS!! APAWS!!! to my furriend Pepi Smart Dog for hosting this PAWSOME Blog Hop…just click on the badge to find other great Thankful Posts. Thankful-Thursday-Logo-2-150x150 So for my very , very THANKFUL THURSDAY…can anyone guess what my focus will be????…naw, you guys can’t imagine what’s on my mind…RIGHT??? DSC_2771 …WHAT??  You think you know???….yeah, yeah…Ok, Ok…it’s “another Leo Thankful Update”…who knew…I really fear like my Foster Brofur Leo…especially ‘cuz he doesn’t stay here right now…(just kidding…ummmm…well, maybe not…who knows??) Here are some photos of Leo…from this week at our PAWSOME INCREDIBLE VET CLINIC...CIVIC FELINE CLINIC… and yup…Dr Ellis totally “rocks”…she is so totally in communication with Leo’s vibes…

Leo is taking his tube feeding like a champ.  He purrrs the whole time…never, ever fusses…no hisses…no growls…just want head scritches, ear rubs and head bumps…what a guy!!

…here is a look at all the resident kitties at Civic Feline Clinic…this vet care service totally luvluvluvs us kittehs!!  I am embarrassed I do not know all their names…but next time…I surely will…

More Thankfulness…so many of my furriends from around this whole world have been so kind in their thoughts, prayers, purrs and parting with hard to find green papers…you have all made such a difference.  We will have a very accurate accounting after Mom returns from Blog Paws… between the donations coming to Contra Costa Humane Society and to Mom Linda’s Paypal account…we have received $1,175 USD toward Leo’s medical care.  Our blog paws community is so pawsome…

Leo’s care, already paid, is $2,300 and my personal vet has anticipated about another $1, 000 USD going forward.  Leo remains in her care at her clinic.  She is discounting regular fees because Leo is an adult shelter rescue cat.  He will need at least one more ultrasound, maybe two.  He still is NOT EATING ON HIS OWN…this is a critical turning point…keep those purrrs, arwwoooos, woofs, and paws crossed coming…(humble ears)

…And being the multi-tasking cat I am…here is my Thursday Society of Feline Gardeners Report for my good furriend and Emeritus Founder of our Society…JonesieSociety of Feline Gardeners Not a lot to report…but some lovely new growth…hope you all enjoy it…(and help us identify what they are!!)

That is my Thankful Thursday and my Society of Feline Gardeners Report… Hope you all enjoyed it and hope you follow my Foster Brofur Leo’s Story…
