Thankful Thursday…A Nice Day
Hiya! Savannah Here!
I hope your Thursday is a thankfilled one…yup…I know spell check hates that word “thankfilled”…but I like it so I’m gonna use it!…so there, spell check!!
Of course I am thankful that today my house is getting cleaned…but that also means it is HOOVER DAY!!! UGH!! But, Mom is home…so I can hang in our office with her until Auntie Shannon comes upstairs…then Mom and I will go down to our bedroom…Mom can grab her peep shower (she doesn’t use her tongue though…just some weird cloth thingy???..what’s with that???) and I can grab some zzzzz’s in my closet bed…not bad…so I am thankful for it.
And I am really thankful for yesterday…I had this really Nice Day visit with Mom on our stairs…
First…I was just hanging at the front door, catching up on stuff with Nanuk…he has seen some pretty interesting dogs go by the front yard…
…then I was sitting on the stairs, catching some sun puddles…and Mom comes over…”What??…can’t ya see I am sunning here???…
…OH MY CAT!!!…that feels so good…ummmmmm…so sorry I was so abrupt Mom…
…I had no idea this was gonna be a good luvin’ from Mom….WAIT!! DID YOU HEAR THAT???…
…oh…guess Nanuk has it covered…where were we Mom?…..
…awww…now she starts to sing to me…and I just go all crazy like…and I pull myself across the stair using the stair above as my sort of “pull up bar”…a very good workout, by the way…for my upper body strength…you know we ladycats aren’t always as strong as the mancats in upper body strength so we need to keep fit…
…uuummmpppffff…puff, puff…now the one paw pull…oooohhhh….ufffff….
…that was sooooo hard…now get the other paw hooked into the carpet…puff, puff…ummmppffff….
…alllmoooostt…there…ufff…pull, pull….
…whew…that was a great workout…thanks for the iMom music to help me out!!!…I think I’ll just stay here in the sun puddle and wait a bit before I do another rep…Ok Mom??
Yeah, yeah…I know you already saw this photo yesterday…but it really was the end of my upper body workout routine!!

Hey Savannah………I do a similar stair workout myself – I think it’s kept my abs firm (Dad says it’s my six pack whatever that means) and my arms nice and strong. Looks like getting a head pat is a special part of your routine though – I’ll have to try that myself!

We need some carpet! Daddy refuses to have any carpet coz he says it’ll collect fur (duh!) or Whisky will pee on it (hahaha!) or somekitty will yak on it. What’s his problem?
Savannah! OMC OMC!! I just saw the comment from the guy who wrote the book!!! How did he even FIND me do you think?? That’s crazypants, huh? His blogger profile didn’t have any way to answer him so we googled him and found his website and sent him a reply. Wow! Do you know if he commented on the other kitties who winned a book? Boy, with this and the Big Fire this has been QUITE a day!! XOXOXOX

Oh no, not that fire, thankfully! This was a fire just down our block–a wooden deck caught fire. No Humans or kitties or woofies got hurt here; we just had just lots of trucks and firemen and hubbub (and fire and smoke!) It was put out fast, but some firefighters and a couple of trucks hung around for hours just in case some of the smoldering parts re-ignited, but nothing more happened so eventually they went home!!

Also, thanks to your Mom for the park info. Eventually they *did* find the main entrance (with the little rnager station & all, but by then they’d run out of steam — that’s where they will START next time! 😉

Fenris likes stairs. We don’t have any at our house so he only knows about them from going walking with the Mom. For some reason us cats never get invited. Can you believe she took Fenris to a restaurant this morning for breakfast?

That does look like a great work out. We just have stairs outside and no carpet on them so we can’t exactly do that workout but it looks like a good one. We bet you are such a strong kitty cat. Hope you have a great evening.

MOL!!! that would be me too if it wasn’t for the carpet! I race up and down and then all around the bottom floor (it has a nice race car circle formation) which are all wood floors and then back up again and slide across our upstairs office floor which is wood…what fun!!
