Savannah's Paw Tracks

Autobiography of a Former Shelter Cat

Friday Frolics and Other Things

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Thank you all who came by to visit, read, leave comments…on my post on Thankful Thursday.  It was a very special post for me…

…even though I am not especially happy about Foster Brofur Leo being in MY home…I am truly purrleased he is starting to make a turn around…THANK CEILING CAT!!!

Nice...

Nice…

UPDATE: Foster brofur Leo had to got the vet place again yesterday…Mom and Dad messed up a teeny bit and got some air bubbles caught in his feeding tube giving him his meds…but he is all sorted out again…and well…still being stubborn about eating on his own.  But…we know he can do it…he may just have forgotten how…my personal vet, Dr Ellis, she knows all about this stuff…she will help us move Leo through his turn around…paws crossed.

So here is a bit of Friday Frolics…just a little bitty sound video of Foster Brofur Leo on his way to his vet check-up…he HATES being in the car when it moves…heh…heh…you must have volume up loud to hear his voice…

And for even more FROLICS…Starring ME of course…

Finally…I thought my post yesterday was like…well…according to “best blog writing protocol”…ummm…way too long…so I left out a very impawtant story about a donation made from a very special furriend of Savannah’s Paw Tracks…unknown to me until he reached out and helped my foster brofur Leo…

As all of you know…we all have many RWB (Readers Without Blogs)…such as Mistletoe and Hitch and my special furriend Dinah…they visit us every day they can…they read…sometimes leave comments…or they just read and move on…’cuz they don’t have blogs themselves or whatnot…

When I very first mentioned Foster brofur Leo…and his illness…and humbly asked if my furriends could spare some sofa/pocket change to help his medical costs…one unknown furriend contacted me and Mom Linda…his name is “Boots”…and he has been reading my bloggy for sometime I guess…

Anywho…here is what Boots had his staff write to me and Mom Linda…

“…Hi, I am Boots, the Household Tiger and I live in St. Louis, MO.  I discovered Ms Savvy Do Savannah while doing a Google search on  “grey cats” during lunch one day. I (Boots Mom) was so charmed by her/your blog that I started following it on a regular basis. The story of Leo is near and dear to my heart as I lost my( Boot’s Mom’s Dad)  father’s cat Pillsbury to the same issue, just a couple of months after my Dad passed away.  I don’t want anyone else to go through through what we through with Pillsy.”

In Boots honor, his Mom and Dad made a donation to Leo’s Med costs at CC Humane Society.  So…isn’t it amazing that all of us have followers, RWB (Readers Without Blogs) who read, love us, most often don’t comment as they do not have a paw blog, or Face Book page or a Twitter handle…but they read our posts and love our anipal/paw blog community as much as all of us active members do.  Boots and his Guardians are those RWB readers; just like Mistletoe and Hitch and Dinah…who help us out in our efforts to rescue animals and improve animal welfare.

So to acknowledge Boots and his contribution to Leo’s medical costs…let me introduce you to him…don’t you think we must be related???

…now the next set of three photos…

Last but surely not least…let me remind you all that our very good furriend Chancy and Baby Boy and the kitties have moved…here is their new address..be sure to follow them…

What’s Going On At Mumsy’s blog, formerly Chancy the Gardener and two other blogs rolled into one…PURRFECT!

Thank you all for your pawsome support in my chaotic time…I am trying so hard to come back to all of you in your comment queues and Twitter and FB comments.

Paw Pats, Savannah

I hope Leo starts to eat on his own. He’s so handsome. I bet you’ll want to meet him soon. h, I couldn’t believe that was you meowing in that second video. See you next week.

    • Hey Zoey, Ernie and Wally!! How are ya? Yup, Mom and Dad said Leo had great lungs, although he does acapella sort of off key heh…heh…not sublimely as I do when I go to the V-E-T! Still, just nibbling…but otherwise very healthy, playful, loving…sigh

I loved hearing both Leo and you Savannah. I sing all the way to the v-e-t so I know how our pal feels. Wonderfur photos of Boots and are you sure you are not related? Meow!

    • I am most embarrassed…very pink ears…I don’t know our bloggy as only your email shows…purrlease tell me who you are…I know you have visited so many times before and I will add you to my follow for sure…whew…that was hard to admit!

  11. You know, some people think all cats sound the same. Well they should listen to the two video’s here! Nothing could be more different! Savvy, you’re a real talker and you must love those butt spanks the way you quiet down for them! (seems to me there’s a Katnip Lounger who loves that too, but I don’t remember which one now) Just too cute, Savvy!
Star liked your response our comment yesterday about both you and her having a Leo brother who irritates you! She sends you commiserating purrs!

    • you are SO right Star and Leo…all of us have our own recognizable meow voices…just like when they track criminals on those crime shows on TV using “voice recognition”…betcha we kittehs would all show up different! And, we are talking tonight about maybe trying a meet and greet between me and Leo…no…we are not keeping him…but Mom and Dad and I all think he might think more about eating properly if he can get out of his hotel suite..

  12. I love my RWB’s and they have come through so many times for donations and for kitties who needed help. I know of a couple of kitties who would not be alive today if one of my RWB had not seen a post of mine and rescued them!

    • thank you Sparkle. I have not been visiting at all, well hardly, since Mom left for BP. Leo and I have just taken so much time for Mom and Dad and Dad is just ending his year long volunteering as member of our County’s Civil Grand Jury…Oh Cat! We are so ready for some simplicity in our home routine!

  13. Leo sounds annoyed. You sound like you have a LOT to say, Savvy. Of course you do!

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

    • oh Cupcake, please, please don’t leave me!! I promise I am trying to come around to visit, but ever so slowly. We are also trying to rework my bloggy…time, time, time…arrrggghhh!! paw hugs, Savvy

  14. Leo sounds good, but your voice surpass all expections…now I love thee even more. Happy weekend 🙂

    • Hi Dai$y, Boomer and Tuna! Leo is eating a bitty bit each day; almost as though he has forgotten HOW to eat. Only one kibble at a time; won’t eat off a plate or out of a bowl. But he will be posting next week about how he decided to spend his Gift Voucher you so kindly gave him when you won Mollie and Alfie’s Raffle Grand Prize; stay tuned

  17. Leo wil come through,I’m sure of it ,wow Boots is your twin!and a great fur pal!xx Speedy

Terrific picture of Leo. He didn’t sound upset in the video…cute meow. We loved your video you sounded like a baby lamb. 🙂 How nice of Boots and his mom to help out on Leo’s vet bill. He is very handsome we we agree that he must be related. 🙂 Thank you and your mom for adding our link it was so sweet of you to do that. Hugs and nose kisses

  19. You and Boots could definitely be twins! Sorry Leo had a little set back, but we know he is going to turn the corner any day now and be eating like a champ. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

Savannah, my ears are pink (well, they always are, inside, but now pink-ier) for the nice things you said about blog-less me. I read your posts every day. I’m happy that a famous author like you mentions me (and shows my photo!) I look forward to seeing Leo when I visit with your folks: hope you will be around too, and not teleporting to your writer pals. Your friend, Dinah RWB (reader without blog.)

PEE ESS: Your flag count gets more interesting every day! I always look to see where the newest flag is from.

  21. Boots is very handsome! How nice of him to get his bipeds to make a donation.
I hope Leo keeps improving now.

  22. We love the photo of Leo laying there with his paws crossed. He looks comfortable and relaxed at your house. We’re purring for him to start eating kibble again soon.

Boots really does look like he could be your long-lost cousin, Savvy! It’s wonderful how so many RWB are out there, and Boots helping with Leo’s costs is extra-special.

  23. Hi Savvy…..how wonderful that even those who don’t have a blog found yours and heard about Leo’s situation and helped out as they could. Sorry Leo had to visit the vet again after his air bubble issue but glad to hear he’s OK. I would think it IS possible he’s forgotten how to eat but he did prove he “sort of” still knew when he had some kibble. C’MON LEO WE KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!! Love the pix of your friend Boots – yes it’s just possible he IS a distance cousin of yours!

    Happy Friday
    Kitty Hugs, Sammy

    • You are very I sight foul Sammy. Indeed, even our vet thinks he has likely forgotten how to eat. And they way he eats suggests that as well Mom and Dad have to give him one kibble at a time. If there are too many he gets co fused and turns away. It is a long process but we all know he is improving. Paw hugs, Savvy

  24. Leo sounds like Henry cute :-). Savvy still as gorgeous as ever and you have come such a long way yourself xxx Have a fab weekend

Waving paw...HI!...what'd 'cha think...??
