  9. Great story! A wee bit long when I have 100 blogs to get to but it held my innerest. I liked the cartoons. Some of the down numbers might have to do with Google Reader closing down the beginning of this month. Anyone importing their GR to Bloglovin’ or some other reader may have missed the WordPress blogs. I’m on Blogger and I still see people who used to read don’t come by anymore.

    • oh thank you CK! I just have not been around long enough to know what’s what! And yes, it was long…but we loved doing it…and how knew Summer affects readers MOL!! Silly me and Mom Linda! peeEss…totally luvluvluv your CK CD!! PAWSOME!!!

  10. We loved the story, Savvy! And that ending kind of leaves it open for a sequel, dontcha think? πŸ™‚

Like a lot of our pals have written above, summer page views do usually dip. SO don’t worry … you could never offend us. We all love you too much!

  11. Savvy can’t wait to read the finale! and what great news maybe about MJ..fingers crossed here indeed..and Leos NDD what a guy! as for viewers I don’t know..i don’t have heaps anyway hahaaha..but there is nothing at all you could have offended with…as we say here…not a sausage πŸ˜‰ I keep frgetting somewhere it is summer hahaah..sure not here..not even winter…may have to invent a new season!
Have a great day Hugs from Foziemum xx

    • hey guys, I still am gonna post about that pawsome paw tracks award you created…it will be one of most fave ever. I just wanna do something sort of special with it…not sure what…but now that we have the Necata canipbis mystery on hold…until “next time” as they all say…I can figure what I want to do…tell me…are ‘Roo’s endangered in Australia? Are they considered a problem? Are they hunted? I might make the “Roo my B4TC post as I have not done one yet. thanks tons, Savannah

      • That’s okay Savvy you are a busy bee πŸ™‚
Roos are not endangered, but they are a protected species.
They can be a pest to farmers and if so the farmers can with a special permit shoot and kill them..these rules are very strict.. a ‘mob’ must be a ceratin size to be a problem, there are rules about females with joeys at foot etc..They are sadly culled too often in some areas due to overpopulation this is a huge debate issue among the pros and cons..the pros believing it is kinder than them starving to death etc and the cons that often the joeys are killed ina brutal way and not all kills are clean..i personally wouldn’t do it and think alternatives could be used such as sterilising. They are often hit and killed on roads which results in car accidents and often deaths as people try to avoid them..they will destroy a car on impact and many peple one I know of personally who have hit roos (they are sooo quick) and the roo has gone through the windscreen and kicked out at the driver..obviously severely injured, and done great damage to the driver. Some disgusting people do hunt them for fun…illegal of course with massive fines and jail time..there is a $15.000 fine for killing a protected animal and it is illegal for you to allow your dog to chase or hassle them.In Queelsand the DPI..Department of Primary Industry is looking at keeping roos from farms by more natural means, they are trialling the planting of gumtrees as property borders, apparently they naturally graze away from gum tress as the leaves are not good for them..this would have many benefits if proven to be working well.Southern parts of Australia (where we are) have the grey roos and even though big are not any where as big as their cousins the Reds up north who are massive.
Our roos here for example are closer to us now the property over the road has sold off their cattle and they feel more comfortable grazing close by.They have so far not caused any problems as,we do not threaten them or allow the dogs to roam free, they have dams to drink from and the sheep don’t bother them either..they will ruin fencing which is why farmers get cross as them stock gets out. Some farmers have roo fencing which is incredibly high but also prohibitive in price,we leave a gap under parts of our fencing as do most properties as the joeys can’t get over and if scared or trying to keep up with mum,can get caught in the top of the wires..we call these hangers and it’s dangerous to try and et the poor joeys untangled and must be done with wildlife volunteer help even a joey can give a devastating kick! so they find the gap and crawl under ..hope that is some good info Savvy..i don’t know everything but I know a bit about them πŸ™‚ Have a great day sweet one ..Hugs Fozziemum xx

  12. Pageviews are down pretty much everywhere right now, both on cat blogs and a lot of human web sites, too. Usually, summer when weather is nice is the slower time for web visitors, online gamers, etc. because people do outside things or vacation. That’s why network TV shows reruns during the summer, too.

We’re so glad you aren’t showing reruns, though. This story has been great fun!

    • thanks guys, so happy I thought to ask…I was so new last SUmmer I did not notice and of course, seeing as how Mom Linda is old as dirt, she can’t remember that far back MOL so I was concerned that maybe I had missed something…hugs and we will be back like all “sequels” I bet heh…heh

  13. We hope you all are going to add to that story since your stuck on that cliff at the end. Yes, our numbers are down as well. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

I think it has been meowed already that peeps are on holiday. And… It if so HOT here on the east coast and other places every cat and peep is taking a rest in the shade

  15. That is pawsome news Savannah. We are so happy for both Leo and MJ.

  16. Hi Savvy…..can’t wait for the dy-no-mite conclusion of the story. As for fewer comments, etc. I think it’s vacation time for lots of folks – I believe everyone has a “summer dip” in visits so never fear – all is well in the blogosphere! We’re quite excited about MJ pawsibly finding her home – that’s truly wonderful…..

A great but scary story, Savannah. I may not want a teleporter after all — wouldn’t want to get extra dizzy or wind up on a cliff! Can’t wait to hear more about your adventures: after all, you’re still not back home in the story. Your friend Dinah, RWB (reader without blog.)

  18. Savvy, lots of people take vacations this time of year so blog traffic tends to have bigger swings in the summer. One of my biggest challenges has been to try to figure out how to keep the numbers up in the summer, especially on weekends, which are always slower than the rest of the week… which is why I’m doing a commenthon and giveaway this upcoming weekend! But even the middle of the week can be slow sometimes.

    • thank you Sparkle, I think I was disappointed cuz it happened right as three of us launched a pawsome mystery adventure story across 3 blogs, across 3 countries and then so few readers…sigh…should have thought “summer vaca’s” appreciate your insights

  19. You haven’t done anything wrong. Sometimes humans are just to busy to help us see all the blogs we want to.

  21. I was just waiting for your end of story. And I am glad about the rumours about this little black lady … can’t wait for them to be confirmed.

  22. You did not offend anyone! You couldn’t. You’re way too sweet of a cat.

    • thanks buddy…I didn’t think so…just thought I would find out if anyone else is having diminished numbers/views/comments and seems it is happening all around. I just don’t remember last Summer…and I was bummed cuz I thought our adventure was pawtastic!! Catch you and Dash later…ya know…we have some planning to do…heh…heh

Thrilling conclusion, Savvy! But it was kind of an open-ended end, you know? I mean, I really was hoping to get a little taste of the real deal. Is that still in the cards d’ya think?
Oh we have paws-crossed for MJ to have a furever home! Just like your Leo πŸ˜‰
And yes, numbers down a little. I’m sure it’s just summer doldrums, peeps on vacations, LAZY peeps who don’t help the Kitty as much as they should ::glares at Human:: Sheesh–even my Human is ‘bandoning me for a few days for a little trip to visit friends in Hell, uh, I mean the Central Valley. Sigh.

    • whew, thanks SPitty…I was worried ’bout our story not being very inneresting…na’mean? I forgot she was going to the hot zone…ugh! Have the human give a call when she gets back…paw waves, Savannah

Waving paw...HI!...what'd 'cha think...??
