Sage still has her left hook!!!

HIYA!!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I sure do hope you read my Friday Memes post January 27, ‘cuz Sage put that kitty spit shined left hook of hers to use this weekend! That stoopy Domino thought he could land Sage on her butt in a rasslin’ match! And he sure got his comeuppance!!

First they faced off—sizin’ each other up so to speak.

They circled and got their paws settled into the mattress for the upcoming action!

Then in a flash! Sage sent out that left hook and The Domino Kid had to hit the dirt…er…ahem…”mattress”…to escape it’s mighty paw whap!

Sage was crafty and waited for the moment when she could deliver her mighty left hook once more and she literally sent Domie rollin’ head over heals!! His butt went up in the air and it was over as fast as it began!!

And TKS went back to cleanin’ up her might left paw, getting it ready for the next match.

Is there room for me in the castle????

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I decided to let The Domino Kid talk with my loyal readers—just this once!!! He seems to be struggling with just where his place is when it comes to serving in my castle guard. Sheesh!! Like I have to explain everything to him.

Go on Kid, this post is your time to fly high!! So write already!!!

Oh hey! Hi everyone!! *waves paw* Thanks for lettin’ me hop in here Savvy—oh, errr, ummm—Your Highness. So everybody, I am tryin’ and tryin’ to find my special place in Princess Savvy’s castle. First, I thought I outta, like, ya know—hang out in all those cardboard boxes that just never seem to stop comin’ here. I thought maybe I could test out each one to find one Her Highness will really enjoy.

But then Princess Savvy tried to put a mailing label on the box I was in, with a “do not return” stamped on it!!! So, I guess I cannot be her Very Special New Box Tester and Guard.

Next up I tried out for Ambassador for our current foster, Binky aka Reesie.

I went into her private suite, Mom L’s office, and I tried to talk down with her to help her understand just where she fits into this castle stuff. But Princess Savvy told me to knock it off and get busy helping Binky get more confident so’s she can get adopted and outta of the royal castle and into her own home. Sigh—guess I did that wrong too.

Then I tried to guard Princess Savvy from the top of the cat tower in our living/dining room. Sadly, I did not realize that this is the very special nesting place for TKS when the afternoon sun comes in. Darn it!! Then I tried to make myself helpful by claiming the breakfast tray Dad P uses to bring up Mom L’s coffee and Princess Savvy’s remaining brekkies. I wanted to protect the tray from being used for anything else!! Nope! That didn’t work either.

I finally had to have a heart to heart chat with Princess Savvy. I let her know how hard I am trying to fit in and be of service. She agreed that I was trying really hard. So she allowed me a ten minute nap right next to her on her special couch, which is her downstairs throne.

So what can I do to help Princess Savvy get more comfy with me, so’s I can find my very own special places in her castle???? You have all known Her Highness far longer than me, please give me some tips in comments. Thanks lots, Domie aka Domino aka The Domino Kid.

I am gonna ask Princess Savannah to say good bye like she always does!

Getting old ain’t easy

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

First lemme tell you, my friends, Mom L and I thought this post was gonna be a whole lot different than it is today. I know, I know—I missed my Friday Memes post. But I have a good reason. You see, I was at my regular Vet DVM place, but with a different Doc. This Doc was very good, except—the Doc forgot the “why” I was there and focused on my dismal sad, lethargic state and my whole senior cat history.

Well I can tell you! I cried, Mom L and Dad P cried! The Doc started to talk about…ahem, koff, koff…ya know…that “end of life” chat. That took the whole focus OFF the real health challenge I was brought in for. Mom L noticed that I had been going in and out and in and out of the litter boxes multiple times within one hour over a few days etc.

But the Doc focused on my senior ailments, and decided it was time to have the “talk” with Mom L and Dad P. Thank Ceiling Cat that Mom L and Dad P know me so well. They said “thank you” but we will get back to you. They left, having forgotten the “why” they brought me in the first place.

That night I literally went between two litter boxes THIRTY times!! Mom L knows, ‘cuz she was counting them and watchin’ over me. Thank Ceiling Cat again, Dad P and Mom L took me to a great emergency Vet hospital on Saturday at about 8 AM PDST.

My pals, I so wanted outta there!! We waited for over an hour in that little room. I know, yes…we could hear that there were several even more critical care needs for other woofies before they could get to me. I did try my best to find an escape route!!

Mom L and I were there for like five hours. But I went home with a urine draw done and a pawerful antibiotic for treating my suspected urinary tract infection. Fast forward to today, Sunday, May 29. I am peeing like a champ!!

And enjoying a bit of time with my nip rainbow! This kitteh may be seventeen years old, but she still has some moves left, by golly!!

Now to add to the state of health affairs for Sage and sweet Katie. Sage was at the Vet about ten days before me. She was not eating for like three days, vomiting bile, etc. Mom L suspects the evil IBD. But our Vet gave her some fluids AND cerenia, to calm her gut track that day. And TKS is back to her darling, always willing to eat anything self!!

And lastly, precious Katie has been back again for that horrible fungus that won’t let go of her claw sheaths. More than on Vet has suggested she might need her claw (s) removed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO SIREEE!!!!!!! That will not happen in her lifetime. Mom L and Dad P will catch her once a week to treat her affected claws, for the remainder of her life!!! KATIE WILL NOT HAVE HER CLAWS REMOVED!!!

So, that’s what’s happening over the last ten days or so in my castle. Let me know how you are all doing. We all know that gettin’ older is tough, but we can still be active kitties, loved by our humans!
