Monday Meowsie News: Surprised Again!!

My new furriend Tigger, over at Tigger’s Teachings totally flabbergasted (vocabulary and spelling builder) me…just as my staff, read “Mom”, was off on another of her and Dad’s ‘get-aways’…Tigger passed two gorgeous Awards to me!!! Luv ya Tig baby!! Luv ya my man!!

The first Award is the One Lovely Blog Award:

I am so humbled to think that someone experiences my blog as “lovely”…I’m always afraid that what I tell Mom to post is too silly or uninformative or uninteresting…it is, after all, a blog that is just about My Life and My Recovery from being an adult shelter rescue cat…and the photos are tough to get ‘cuz I don’t hang around much when the camera comes out…sigh

The second one is the Very Inspiring Blogger Award:

Well, again…I would NEVER tell any of my former shelter roomies that I thought I was “Inspiring” any cat, let alone a peep! Go figure?! I am so very honored again to have someone such as Tigger pass this along to me.

So….ya all know from my last Awards posting…I find it difficult to name so many blogs, that don’t already HAVE these awards! And I admire EFURRYBODY I visit efurry day!.

I am again, only less than 4 full months into my blog journey…and still working hard to hook up with others…mostly a time issue ‘cuz my staff types kind’a slow…harrummpppfff

Hey, It’s Jet Here…of course this is my big guy Jetty…he has the Lovely Award, but given his rescue story…totally needs to be sport’in the ‘Inspiring” Award

Now, lemme leave ya with a couple of photos…as you know now…Dad and Mom got home yesterday…and Oh Cat! Did I ever miss them!! First time this morning…I trotted right behind Dad down to the kitchen to get my brekkies! I even let him give me a pet while I ate!!! YES! Paw Pumps for Savannah!

And Mom was sooooo sweet…she didn’t jump outta bed this morning to get to her spin class at the gym…she hung out in bed with ME!!! And we just chilled…watched the WHOLE Good Morning America show…nice! Score one more for ME!

…and I got some brushing time from Dad…

Nice home coming for Mom and Dad…’cuz this time I let them know how totally much I missed them…kept Mom up half the night ‘cuz everytime she moved…I meowed at her…so she would give lots of scratches and rubs and stuff…she says we’re gonna have a nap later to day MOL!

Oh Cat!!! Another New Fitness Experience!!

Mom and Dad come home one day…and they put this unreal what’cha ‘ma ‘giggy on the floor…they say “Savannah! Isn’t this Great!!!???”…(what, ME??!! I am, in case no one else noticed…one scared, timid adult rescue cat!!) Seriously?? Ya want me to notice that weird thingy and BE INTERESTED???….OMC!…Peeps!!

…harrummmpppfffhh…wellll…maybe just a peek….

…ummmhmmm…seriously…not much…wellll…lemme take another quick peek…

…hmmm…the blue end seems more interesting…

…oh yeah…now this is what I am talkin’ about….

…whoa…check out this RED…Salem and others at Katnip Lounge know all about REYED stuff…wonder if this is the same thing…only bigger? and it doesn’t seem to move lots…hmmm…

..once again…needs further investigation…taking on my FBI role, (Koz and Nellie would be proud)…

…oh, oh, oh…OMC!! Oh Cod!! I missed this first time around…check this out…a hole in the middle…and it is GREEN…hmmmm…wonder what this means…more pondering…

…I must investigate into the middle of the tunnels…only a well trained FBI Agent can do this…carefully, one paw at a time…slowly, slowly…(I hope Satchmo is reading and watching veryyyy closely…)…

…phewww…I am pooped!!…this is totally hard work…

…what??!!…is there a noise??…something is moving under me!! Oh Cod?? What is it???..

…I rush outside after a short rest…and take the ~~plunge~~ risk of jumping into the heart of the 3 Tunnels…ooohhhhh….SHRIMP!!!…(I think that is what Dad and Mom say when they are surprised!!! not sure why…I have never seen a shrimp around when they yell it out…hmmmm…maybe they are saying some other word??….oh well….)

…my butt is stuck!!!…what to do, what to do…cram my body in if I can…that’s all I can do…so terribly dangerous….aaiiieeee….!!!!

Well…that was the adventure of the 3 tunels…at least the starting point…may be more later…who knows…this is a cat’s autobiography after all…just sayin’…

I Have HuFamily History!! Who Knew?!

Well who the heck knew??? I certainly did not!!

My Mom has a Family Bit of History…under which I play efurry night!!! Woo Hoo!!

…so I am just relaxin’ under this quilt thingy ALLLLL the TIME…notice how comfy I am??…..

…then Mom tells me ” Savvy (they call me that as an affectionate name…purrr)..you do know that right above you is the name of my Great Aunt Mamie Pinson???? (ya, right, I totally got that when I don’t even know my own feline mom???)…

…then Mom makes me focus…and what do ya know…there is her Great Auntie’s Name…and then I ask…”why is her name up there?” Mom says…”Savvy, that is my Grandmother’s ‘Furriendship Quilt’…made by all her furriends, well, really ‘hufriends’…back in the 1920s…and Mamie is my Grandmother’s sister-in-law…now I am confused…but whatever…

…”and here is my Great Grandmother’s Name…she was my Grandmother’s husband’s Mom”…(now I am totally confused??!!)…but I can tell this is important to Mom …and even, maybe to me???…

…then I ask about the weird lookin’ stuffed bear…and the red and blue quilt above him…and Mom says…”well, Banana Cakes (OMC! she does call me that!)…”first the quilt was made by my Great Grandmother Rodgers…about 1890…and the Teddy Bear is the first toy anyone gave my Mom and Dad before I was born…he is actually 4 days older than me!! (errr, ummm how old is that Mom???…just askin’~~…probably older than dirt~~…umm…~~older than electricity~~…umm…I give up)…

…then Mom spreads another quilt on our bed to show me, the one in between the huFriend Quilt and the ~~older than dirt~~ really old quilt…and she tells me this is called a “Great Star of Texas” quilt pattern…(probably just a big star)…but my Mom’s Grandmother made it…in about 1965. So I’m thinkin’…”big deal”…not very old…

…then Mom tells me that her Grandmother made this quilt outta left over material my huMom’s mother used to make Mom’s dolls’ clothes…long story short…this is a TOTALLY important quilt to my MOM! NOW I GET IT!!! I HAVE HUFAMILY HISTORY!!!

…pretty colors, huh??!!

So this is how I learned I have huFamily History…even some on my huDad’s side…but I play, rest and nap under my Mom’s HuFamily History most efurryday…we take pictures of me there…and I wanted ya to know the story…
