Friday Frolics

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I had a pretty nice play time with Mom this afternoon…it helped us both a lot.  We both had a sort of traumatic pawevent yesterday.

You see, I have been allowing Mom to pick me up…even the day after they came home from Maui.   But then on Monday, I caught this sniffle thingy…or maybe I even inhaledpaw a fev-ver??  Who knows?!

Anywho, I have not been feeling on top of the world, and yesterday, Mom just needed a teeny little hug from me…so she reached down to pick me up like she had just a couple of days ago…

…and I totally FREAKED!!!…Yup!…I flailed and struggled and wriggled and Mom finally had to do the only thing she could to not hurt me…Yup again…I got the scruff…otherwise if Mom had let me go….I would have fallen and maybe hurt myself I was so frantic.

She cried…well…sobbed…and I finally let her pet me and brush me later before bed.  Not pawsitive for sure.  We both think I was just freaked out ‘cuz I don’t feel so good right now.

Ok, enough of the “not so good Frolics”…

Today was a really nice afternoon…we played…and I took a time out in my Fast Leopard Teleport Tunnel…you all know this is my like fave–right??

…well I played hard with my Peacock Fev-ver and chased it and rumbled with it…and then I took a time out in my tunnel…

Actually this is the first time I have stayed and relaxed a bit in my tunnel for about 2 months…Mom and I both enjoyed our play time and now…we are off for our bed time cuddles…

UPDATE: So many furriends have come together to make a hopefully happy story out of the Three Royals, from a lady named Miss Rose, who passed away somewhat unexpectedly.  Another lady, Miss ML who managed the Cat Blogosphere for a long time, well she saved Miss Rose’s “Three Royal Cats”…and has been managing problems with one of her own precious kitties as well.

Long story short…I will let you  know for sure this weekend if we have all 3 cats, Emily, Marigold and Brutus, safely held until their new furrever homes can collect them.  But so many have stepped up to donate time, money and tons of love…this is a great community to wrap around us when we are in need.  Pawsome, totally pawsome!

peeEss…I will give links once I know who is who…I am still too new to know all the wonderful furriends who have jumped in…and I don’t know their bloggies etc. …embarrassed ears…sigh

Too Much To Be Thankful For…

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

First and foremost…I…and Mom Linda…apologize for not visiting more consistentlypaw_15px.jpg over last several weeks. I understand if you do not chose to visit me for a while as I am unable to catch up on my visits to your blogs. I know you are all such a special community and will welcome me and Mom Linda back when we can visit, leave comments and respond to your comments.  Right now, we just cannot and still have a life.

And…I have a sniffle, and am not feeling well. My Auntie Josie Vet says it is airborne and just has to run its course, but I feel crummy and tired.  But, I am certainly eating OK for now.

Very sad and apologeticpaw_15px.jpg ears…

Mom and I have been working with so many others in the paw blog family, Anipal Twitter Family and others to help find homes/transport for 3 cats left bereft of their Mom in New Jersey.

I am so very thankful to all the pawsome furriends helping save these three adult cats.  What a wonderful community to be a part of.  Mom and I are both overwhelmed with thankfulness to know each and every one of you.

Marigold and Brutus

Basically, this lovely long time paw blog human passed away unexpectedly…and due to unbelievable family circumstances, her family from whom she has been estrangedpaw_15px.jpg are both unwilling to pay for her burial and unwilling to find homes for her 3 cats and so surrendered them to a kill shelter.

ML, whom I don’t know, from the Cat Blogosphere, has intervened, and has the cats currently boarded at this shelter and is also helping to find the resources to bury her friend Rose.  We are trying to help get these cats to new homes. If you can help with either a small donation or transport, let me know in comments.

…and click HERE to see these precious cats…here is Emily the 9 year old ladycat we are working hard to get transport from New Jersey to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mom and Dad are donating half the airfare to get her to her new furrever home.  If you  know anyone who can pick her up in New Jersey in or near Newark Airport, and fly with her to Salt Lake, stay with her new Mom for a night then hop back to the East Coast…airfare and lodging paid…let me know in comments.

This is our VBP Blog Hop..  The badge is on my sidebar.  Mom could not get it into my blog tonight. ANd she cannot get the link tool to show up.   Sorry once again.

UPDATE: we hope we got the badge and linky tool inserted right this morning.  Please try our new VBP blog hop, it really is very easy and lots of fun.  Click here if you need more information.

We will try tomorrow.

Tuesday Tails…errr…Tales

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I am kind of under the weather, so to speak…so I am spending some time in Mom’s left over bed sheets…nice and warm…while she takes care of getting my post done.

So Mom tried to get Word Press to let her do two Galleries…hope it works when she hits “publish”.

I thought you would enjoy seeing Mom and Dad on the catamaran Paragon.  It was the only time they were able to be on a boat as it poured rain and the winds stayed at 30-50 MPH most of their time on Maui. All the whale photos and the ones of Mom and Dad and the Paragon were taken by a really, really nice man from Oregon, My. Dave H.  He had this humongous long lens on his camera and that captured the whale’s tail.

Mom got all the dolphin shots with the same camera she uses with me!!! Even photos of them UNDER WATER!

Tails, Whales and Spinner Dolphins

They were joined by a pod of Spinner Dolphins as soon as they left the harbor.  Then out farther…they had whales galore!paw.  If you slide your Mouse Cursor over the photos, the captions show!

And, let me know what you think about my new header.  Miss Ann from Zoolatry made it for me and I am trying it out.  She made several sort of “generic” ones for me and I will post them over next few weeks…help find the one’s you like best!

That’s it for my Tuesday Tails…errrr…ummm….Tales!
