Living The Good Life

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!

Being as how this is Wednesday, and I’m trying to be a tad less wordy on occasion, I decided to share a couple of photos that depict my typical day. Now some of you are gonna figure I’m just one spoiled cat, but I know others are gonna be thinkin’ “Way to go Savvy!”

You see, I never thought I would have a home where I was allowed to do things on my own terms. But here, well, Mom L and Dad P just let me be my Real Self. I call that a really good life, don’t ya think so?

What makes you know you’re living the good life along with me?

Oh hi Mom L. I'm just doin patio guard duty with Nanuk

Oh hi Mom L. I’m just doin’ patio guard duty with Nanuk

Nanuk was given to me by Dad P so’s I could have my very own personal guard Sibe. Seems like a pretty good life to me.

If peeps can dine by candle light, why not me?

If peeps can dine by candle light, why not me?

My Dad P follows me just about anywhere in the house to feed me. He doesn’t mind following me up and down the stairs to deliver my dinner to me. You see, I usually need about three passes at my breakfast and dinner. And at dinner time that means I might start down stairs but then move upstairs to get a break from TKS.

I know this isn’t wordless, but I gonna join the Blog Paws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop anyways. Drop by and visit some new pet blogs.

Paw Tap Disaster

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Well I hear that TKS used her chance at doin’ the Sunday Selfie to hint at the topic of my blog post today. Sheesh! That Kid has to make a big deal outta somethin’ she started in the first place. What she did was wake up my snoozing inner personality and got what she deserved.

This happened Sunday morning while Mom L and Dad P were reading their e-edition of the Sunday newspaper and watchin’ their fave Sunday morning news show—CBS Sunday Morning.

Why she thinks just ‘cuz she is a house panther she can move like some military stealth vehicle, I have no idea.

And then she always decides to make something simple more complicated which of course means more risk—for her.

And she just can’t help takin’ that extra little gamble.

My snoozing inner self over as soon as I felt her warm little breath on my tail furs.

Seriously? Who does she think she is? And why does she think I am losin’ my touch? Mom L and Dad P call this my “cobra move”…heh…heh.

TKS had second thoughts our course.

Do You Have Special Spots for Pets?

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I don’t know about all of you. Whether you are woofies or kitties, but I do know that I, Savannah the Cat, have some very special spots I reserve for the ultimate joy of being pet.

Mom L attended a session at Blog Paws in Arizona where one of the presenters, a Vet, talked about a special “pressure point” on a cat’s head. He said that when he greets a new patient he is always aware of this pressure point and tries to calm the kitty by applying the most gentle pressure on that spot.

I guess Mom L already figured out that “special pressure point” on me in our first months together. And now she knows I will hang out with her anytime she manages to hit that mark!

*sigh* Life is good—I can't imagine it getting better

And then Mom L reaches over and HITS THE MARK!!

Oh golly gee! that's just the spot!

Oh golly gee! that’s just the spot!

That is just the spot that Blog Paws presenter talked about. Right in the middle of a cat’s forehead, just a bit below the “between the ears” mark. MARVELOUS!!

And then Mom L has learned that I like another special spot moved just a bit to the right, and left, to hit just above each eye…

That's just the SPOT!!

That’s just the SPOT!!

What spots do you have that touch your special relaxation. Woofies and kitties please tell me. I think this big  dealio about “special pressure points” to chill’ax us is very important—especially when we are on a visit to places like the *shudder* Vet!
