How We Roll On Togetherness

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Lots of my readers are continuing to hope that one day TKS and I will curl up together. Hate to disappoint, but don’t go gettin’ your knickers in a ruffle ‘cuz that just isn’t how we roll.

Anytime we are together on the same piece of furniture is a moment that gets Mom L and Dad P all excited.

I don’t get it actually, we get on my our king size bed at night, opposite sides of course—we each have our own human to keep warm. Why don’t they take photos of that? Bad lighting?? No wide angle lens?? Don’t wanna use the flash??

But then they have no problem when they find us during the day, na’mean?

Why do YOU think they don’t ever take photos of me and TKS at night when we make Mom L the filling in our “kitty-cat sandwich”??

Pee Ess—I am sending my best paw pats to all of you who have been supportin’ me and Mom L in our SECOND CALL TO ACTION efforts on behalf of the community cats on Kauai. We are workin’ hard to respond to all your tweets, Face Book shares and blog posts. We sent off our second letter to that dang Feral Cat Ordinance Committee today.

Pee Ess Ess—And I have not forgotten I owe you an update on Momma Kat (click on her name to view my blog post about her, you won’t regret the time, purromise) and the contents of her Hope Chest. I am just wait’in on a couple of more items to be delivered and it is complete. Mom L and I are in contact with her foster human Mr. Devin and Bright Haven weekly. She will never leave my Paw It Forward radar until she is in her well deserved forever home.

Is My Progress Fair?

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!

Now before I get to the part about my recovery progress bein’ fair, I need to tell you something else first. Remember my giveaway last week from SureFlap motion activated sealed pet feeder? Guess who WON??

APAWS!! APAWS!!

Mudpie from Melissa’s Mochas, Myseries and Meows WON the amazing #SureFlap sealed pet feeder. I now her wet food will now never dry up.

And there is even another fortunate kitty to gain this product. I am gifting my “test product” to Miss Eddie, from Never 2 Late Pet Training ‘cuz she was the runner up to Mudpie!

Now let me tell you about how this whole thing-a-majig of my “Dad P and Savvy progress” is turning out to be not so fair for Mom L.

You see, every morning since Mom L retired, I come up next to her in bed after my breakfast and snuggle next to her legs while she reads my pals’ blog posts to me.

Well, now I have discovered that Dad P gives pretty darn nice scritches and pets, I am hanging out with him, down on our bedroom floor every morning after I have my Dad P served up breakfast.

ahhhh…even better

Yes, Yes, Yes…that’s THE spot!

I ask you now, “Is this fair to Mom L who has loved on me for five years?”—or is this just a case of me and Dad P finally getting our relationship sorted out?

Now Mom L is OK with my new progress, but she is feeling mighty lonely without me snuggling next to her every morning. Why, she has to read and comment on my blog pals and just HOPE she got my comment right!

My Progress Is Showing

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!

I haven’t “officially” reported on my progress in a while. You see I am an adult shelter cat recovering from early kitten hood trauma. Yep, that’s me. I last talked about a bit of my current progress here.

What I didn’t tell you clearly is that I am finally, after almost five years in my forever home, bonding with Dad P! Yep, that’s right. Every morning now, for about the last two months, I look to Dad P, not Mom L, for my morning pet.

For those of you who have followed me from the beginning, you know that I have always been afraid of Dad P, and most other men. But times—they are ‘a changin’!

First time ever in five years—this morning, September 27th, I invited Dad P for a play with ME!!

It turns out that I kind’a like the same wand toy TKS likes. It is the wand with ONLY the string attached!

I was havin’ a great romp with Dad P and then guess who showed up??

Once I saw Mom L was just tryin’ to capture “the moment”—I decided what the Mouses! Let’s do it again!

I forgot all about Mom L taking those photos and focused on my “ME TIME” with Dad P.

I hope my readers understand what a HUGE BIG DEAL this is that I am asking Dad P for pets every single morning. I even give him little head butts! And now—I asked Dad P to play with me! This is HUGE progress for me. Thank you all for joining me in my journey to recover from early kittenhood trauma. Progress can be slow to show up, but it does if our guardians are patient and kind and understand we adult shelter rescue cats need both.
