I’M BACK!!!!…No, Seriously, I Am This Time…

HAPPY CATURDAY!!! And what a day it is! Lots of snuggles this morning with Mom and Dad in bed…then we read the paper, Mom used our iPad to check in on my blog and stuff and we watched the Good Morning America news with Dan Harris who is one of my fav famous peeps!  He luvluvluvs cats!

So…here’s the news…another drum roll please…bababoom…bababooom….rattatatat…..

Guess what this is….

ME…ON THE COUCH WITH MOM IN THE FAMILY ROOM!!! WOOO HOOO!!  And this time I hung around for some chin rubs, some pets, and I even laid down for a bit and let Dad take some photos…

I thought you’d all wanna see ‘cuz it was just this week that I told ya I had jumped on the couch in my first return to it in about 6 weeks or so.  Well, I’m thinkin’ I’m gonna be coming back on a bit more regular basis now, huh!

I just wanted to share this special moment with you all ‘cuz you have been so supportive after I have had my “set back” in last couple of months.

One more pretty cool thing too…remember I showed you how I found Mom’s pillow was a good place to take a nap…???…especially once they make the bed and I have the white bedspread to lie on.

Well…we have this guest room upstairs…and it has a totally nice bed with some pillows and I can hide behind one of them and take a secret nap!!!…except Mom found me! Yep, another new place I have found…gettin’ braver and braver..

Oh What A Night…

I don’t know what got into me last night…but I was like a totally crazy cat for playing!!

Mostly I used my karate moves, but I also managed to get in some moves sort’a like Moma Cat on the Cult of Otis blog.  She has a fav of hers that I am practicing, but I am doing it in the reclined mode.  You’ll see my rendition of that incredible move of hers…gonna take a lot of practice!

So first, I’m concentrating on getting the “wax on wax off” move with my front paws…building upper body strength to get faster with this move…takes concentration ya  know…

Then I move on to practicing Moma Cats Flying Squirrel move…but I have a different take on it ‘cuz I don’t jump like her…so I am working on the Reclined Flying Squirrel…here ya see me working on the Half Reclined Flying Squirrel move…it ‘s important to look crazed when doing it so ya gotta work on the facial expression too…

Finally, I got in some karate kick stuff…again, notice I am doing it from the floor…reclined position…really requires a lot of ab control…pretty hard actually…

Then…I got a really good brushing to cool me down…and I cuddled first half of the night with Dad and then I switched about half way through the night to Mom…I share my lovely soft warm bod’ between them…makes ’em happy!

BREAK THROUGH…tiny paw steps forward again

Ok, it may not seem like lots to some…BUT…I totally flabbergasted Mom and Dad last night…myself too actually.

They were all relaxed and watching TV in our family room…and you may remember I used to hang with them in there at night, sit with Mom and watch TV too.  Then I had the “SET BACK” about 7 or so weeks ago and just stopped hanging with them in the family room at night.

Well…I always have my after dinner snack at my breakfast room feeding station…then I walk through the family room, usually about 7PM or so…and walk right in front of the TV, give them the “look” that says “sorry, can’t stay…stuff to do…” and keep on walking down the hall…then I return in about an hour to let them know I am ready to play  and have them join ME in  our bedroom.

Weeellllllll…last night…drum roll again please! BA BOOM BA BOOM…I started my stroll past the TV, then Mom invited me over to the couch…and WHAMMO…I hung a left and walked right over to the couch and jumped up!!! YES!

Dad was so startled he stopped the show they were watching…then I checked out what was left on Mom’s dinner plate, another thing I NEVER do…then I jumped on the back of the couch and walked back and forth sniffing…I NEVER do that either!!!

Oh My Cat!! so now Mom is shocked like…and they left the TV off so long it went to that thingy where the ICON just starts rolling around on the screen and I watched that a teeny bit with them…then Mom gave me a pet and I jumped down..that’s it….that’s my BREAK THROUGH for last night!

Pretty cool huh? No photos of course ‘cuz it all happend so unexpected like…Dad couldn’t grab the picture taking thingy.

So this  morning, I was hangin’ out in the entry with my furriend Nanuk and we talked about last night…he is my “pretend” Sibe pal…I get courage from Nanuk.  He thought I did a great job last night.

So later, they came back to the bedroom earlier than usual just to reward me…and  I played lots with Dad and Mom…

…we all finished watching TV there.
