Monday Meowsie News…

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!

Well I got a package…sort of a “Just Because” prezzie from my good furriends Mistletoe and Hitch! Mom said I should tell you about the package first…then let you see me using what is in it…heh…heh…

Sounds good to me Mom…so the UPS person delivered this package and Dad hefted (VBP) it into my office…and unceremoniously(another VBP) ~~dumped~~ placed it on the floor. He looked pointedly (sorry, another VBP) at me and Mom…and said…”well, I guess you know who THIS is for???”

I looked up sweetly…why Dad?…could it be for ME?

Dad finally had to laugh and said “Yes Savvy, this is for YOU”

You can see from the size of the package why Dad was all dramatic about it…

So it’s big!!! So What???

First, I made sure it was addressed to ME, personally…yup…that’s my name

…now to make sure I know who it is from…yup…Mistletoe and Hitch!…

PAWSOME!!!…Now let’s get to the inspection part Mom…go ahead…unzip this baby!!…needs a good chin marking to make sure it’s MINE!

…very interesting…what else is in this box???…

…woo hoo!! Check out that cool Neko Dragonfly wand toy!!!…

…I better get closer to make sure nothing is broken…

…ok, ok…looking good, looking good…

…let’s see if the whole prezzie is Ok…need another perspective (VBP)…

…oh yes, looks good from over here to…I better get out so Mom and Dad can get this baby out for a test drive…

The “TEST DRIVE” will be posted on Wednesday…heh…heh…it was very active…at least for me!

Now one more thing to share, and I know efurryone is getting lots of Holiday Cards and no need to post about efurry single one we get…but I really want to share the card from some of my BFFs (Best Feline Furriends) from across the pond who I have known since they started blogging…My Three Moggies sent me this card and they each drew themselves as part of their pawtograph…and I was totally impressed!!

You can see my special mancat furriend, Archie is, or course, first…then there is Oscar…and Henry! Of course Mom Michelle and Dad Craig signed too…

That’s it for my Monday Meowsie News…I have a small set back today in my “one paw forward recovery plan”…Dad had to scruff me again yesterday so Mom could clip my nails…I was getting caught in the carpet…and this time…I was sort of a bit traumatized…I have gone UTB today…I was more shaken up than before, not sure why. And it’s not Dad’s fault because I won’t allow anyone to pick me up…Mom is sticking around today so she and I can play later.

A Very Easy Sunday

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!

We are making this an easy Sunday. I did something on Friday that was pretty different for me. Mom had a little lie down nappy, and she was using a throw pillow to shield her face from a sun puddle that was introoding on her lie down…

And I thought…hmmm…nice sun puddle…why should Mom have it all to herself…so I hopped up on the pillow she was using…and laid down…

Mom managed to get up gently and use ~~her~~ our new iPad to snap this photo…

…she was using the quilted pillow with rectangles…and I was half lying on it until she moved…I don’t get close to peeps’ heads…but I really wanted some of that sun puddle!

Have a peaceful and love filled Easy Sunday…

Caturday For Special Cats

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!

My Mom, Dad and I share everyone’s shock at the passing of 20 sweet innocent children and 7 adults in yesterday’s tragedy at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. I did not include the 28th victim as that was the killer, and we only mourn that he chose to end his life by taking so many with him.

Many bloggers, Twitter anipals and FB posts are being written which say how we feel even better than we could ourselves. So we just want to say “DITTO” to all those who have spoken their shock, horror, grief today. We especially appreciate the post put up on The Chronicle of Zee and Zoey today.

So we will add our candle to all those others…

And, we want to share something that we hope will lift spirits today. It is about a gift I was given by Chewy.com which allowed me to pass it on to some SPECIAL CATS…and I hope you will stop a moment and share in the joy these Special Need kitties found in some things so many of us kitties may take for granted because we have so much ourselves.

Many of you know Lemony Squeezes blog…about her volunteer work with the Special Need kitties in SP #1 at the HOKAFI shelter. If you don’t know Lemony, be sure to visit her pawsome blog.

Chewy.com offered me a promo code worth $50 to spend as I chose, and asked only that I post about my ‘experience’ shopping with them on line. As many of you know, I did use some of that to send holiday gifts to my virtual brother Boots, at the Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary. I posted about wrapping up his gifts December 9th.

Now about shopping with Chewy.com on line…and this is impawtant to know because this is how I ended up being able to send so much to HOKAFI SP #1 kitties. So, I messed up when I ordered for Boots, I thought I could send a bit to him then order more and send to HOKAFI. I have NEVER had a ‘promo code’ before, and did not know I could only send to one address. My mistake.

Chewy.com was so generous. They gave me another whole ‘promo code’ for another $50 to use. So I got to spend ALL of that second gift on the Special Need Kitties at HOKAFI.

And if you don’t have time to visit Lemony…then here are some of her photos…I hope these precious faces, showing such joy and contentment will help to lift spirits of all who read this post…there is still joy in this world…and I for one am grateful I can experience it through seeing these sweet kitties, many who have only weeks or months to live, being able to find playfulness and pleasure.

I hope you find some comfort in knowing there is still good in our world and in our country, meaning the USA. Today it may seem hard to find that good, so Mom and I decided to go on with our planned post for today…it brought us pleasure and comfort and joy…we hope it does for all who read today.
