Gotta Luv UPS!

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

“Savvy!!! Come quick!!! You won’t believe what Ms. UPS left at our front door!! Hurry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

For Me??!!! All for ME???!!!

“Listen TKS, I don’t have a lot of time to come runnin’ every time you yeowl my name. You know Mom L orders lots of stuff and it always shows up in some kinda’ box. So why in Ceiling Cat’s sake do you think this one is for us…got that TKS…I said “us”. Don’t get your tail all tied up in a knot thinkin’ this box belongs to you. And just why do you think it is for “us”?

“Savvy, can’t you tell by the smells coming from the box that this is cat stuff, not peep stuff?”

Savvy pads over to the box for a sniff, with TKS right on her tail and almost bumping into Savvy’s butt.

TKS may be right, this smells too good to be peep stuff

“Hisssss! How many times do I have to tell you, stop bumping into my butt! Sheeeesh! *sniff, sniff* Hmmm…this may have some stuff in it that I could take a liking to. Wonder if Mom L will open it up for us to get a better sniff?”

I sure hope Mom L opens this bad boy box up soon

Savvy trots off to find Mom L who is more than happy to open one flap for the girls to get a better sniff.

TKS is first to get a whiff. “Holy mouses!!!! Savvy this stuff smells like something to just die for!!

I could eat the whole box!!

“Savvy, where did you go? Don’t you wanna get a better whiff of the goodies in this box?” TKS looks around to see where Savvy has gone off to.

Wonder where Savvy disappeared to?

“Uh, hmmm…I bet I can get in and out of this box before Savvy gets back. Should I try?”

Do I dare get into the box before Savvy gets back?

Mom L enters the living room just in time to keep TKS from going too far. “Here, let me get the swag bag out for you two to check out what’s in it this year. Come on Savannah, what do you think?”

Not bad, not bad at all.

“Maybe I need to check out a couple of things in here Mom L, ya know, just to make sure they are “TKS Safe”.

All this needs my seal of approval before TKS messes with it

“No problem Savannah. Let me unpack some things you might like. You haven’t had one of the rainbox Yeowzah nip toys, so why not give this one a try?”

Wow! this nip is a great vintage year!

“Now this is what I call a heavenly rainbow indeed! Yes siree I surely do. Let me see how this sweet nip tastes.”

Chomp! Crunch!

“Oh my! What a great year for the nip this is. Why it must be from Zealandia times! They didn’t get all that nip harvested after all!! Mouses, my pal Nissy would have luvluvluv’d this nip rainbow for sure.”

Slurp, smack

” I need to spend some more time with my our rainbow nip toy. I bet’cha we are gonna be best buddies.”

I like you so much I could just give you a smoochie

“The shape is so innovative. Why I can use this as a pillow!”

I could fall asleep right now

“I’m sorry my sweet nip rainbow, but I am gonna have to let TKS have a go with you. Don’t worry, I won’t let her have her way with you for too long.” Savvy staggers off to find TKS to let her know she can have a moment with nip rainbow.

Finally!! Savvy left and it’s my turn.

“Great, Savvy is leaving. Wonder why she is sort’a swaying from side to side? And her art-right-us doesn’t seem to be bothering her right now? What’s up with that? Oh well, my turn with the nip rainbow.”

Come to me you sweet thing and let’s have some alone time

“Mouses!! I can’t believe it but Savvy didn’t even get the nip rainbow wet! Not even damp!!”

SWEET!! A new, dry, only slightly used nip rainbow all for me!!

As you can see, it doesn’t take much to get TKS going. Hope you enjoyed watching me and TKS enjoy our BlogPaws swag bag. Mom L was signed up to go but then couldn’t at the last minute. So we asked Miss Sue from The Island Cats if she would kindly pick up our swag and ship it to us and she did! Thank you Miss Sue!!!

And now for adorable Pumpkin, all fourteen pounds of him!! He already has rescue partners wanting to transfer him from my county animal services to their own rescues.

Don’t you think just about anyone would want this lovely mancat???

Let me know in comments if you enjoy seeing some of my Paw It Forward cats show up in Friday Memes. I like to keep this light and fun and don’t wanna have my readers miss out on the silliness TKS and I are known for.

Returned—”What did I do wrong?”

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Oh My Cat!  Do I have a tail tale for you that you are gonna just luvluvluv—no ending just yet—but progress!!

I haven’t given you all the whole story about my latest Paw It Forward Project. You have had some glimpses but I didn’t wanna say too much until I was sure Mom L had some stories to share that will lift your hearts.

You know that I have been directing Mom L in her work with the community cat colony that is close our home, right? I have shared some other stories from this very same colony, like Strider’s tale, but there are so many tails tales to share from our ongoing “Move the Friendlies Home” work with this colony.

Right now I wanna make sure you hear about sweet Koko. When Mom L first started working with the feeders of this community cat colony so close to us that Mom L can walk there—I never knew there would so many “friendly cats” we were gonna be able to help.

Right now, I wanna  share about one of the three first cats Mom L and Dad P caught up in their rescue net way back in January of 2018. Koko was a really new member to the colony, he had only been showing up for about three weeks. But Mom L saw that “he” needed a little snip-snip if he was gonna hang out. So Dad P scooped him up in their first capture of friendly cats in hopes of getting him not only neutered, but also to have his badly infected eye treated.

Well, Koko, who always did figure eights around the feeders’ legs when he was being fed, turned out to need  his right eye enucleated. It could not be saved. So Koko recovered from that surgery, but he was extremely shy after.

Nonetheless, as a resident of the Contra Costa Animal Services shelter, he was soon made available to adoption and indeed he was quickly adopted.

But, sadly, Koko was returned after two months with his adopter. He was shy and  they were working twelve hours a day and had no time to spend with him at night. NOT THEIR FAULT! Simply a case of the adopters not having the experience with a kitty who has just lost an eye on top of being dumped only weeks prior to that surgery by his former caretakers. Koko was a throw away, damaged kitty who the adopter thought they could manage. Not so.

Long story short—Koko was thankfully returned to animal services just last week.

But Koko thought maybe there was something wrong with him. Thankfully, Miss Sue, who volunteers at animal services, found a place where Koko can recover and find his forever family. Pet Food Express is a fabulous pet product retailer who always gives back to the bay area community. Their store in a larger city in the East Bay had space for Koko and Mom L and Dad P took him there yesterday, Saturday, April 21, 2018. He is the only resident in this facility but will soon have others joining him I am pretty sure!

Mom L visited Koko today, Sunday,  and check out what she could do with him after only twenty minutes of her singin’ her stoopy made up songs!

Ahhh…now that is nice!

And then Koko really “cut loose” for him!! He purred and let Mom L touch his TUMMY!!

Koko even relaxed enough to stretch out.

I apologize for Mom L’s lousy photo skills, but she was lying on her side reaching into a small cubie where Koko was hiding out.

Here are some photos of Koko’s current digs. He is gonna be the hit of the cat adoption parade!!

Please SHARE this post about Koko. He can really use some peeps supporting him getting a great new family. He is starting to feel better about himself, but right now, he still thinks he has done something wrong. Please helps him learn that NO CAT does anything wrong when humans abandon, mistreat and dismiss them.
