Friday Memes make Friday Smiles!

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

It’s that time of the week when we all need to get our Friday smiles on. I sure do hope my pals like my selections for this weeks memes. You know I have lots of Paw It Forward projects goin’ all the time. And of course you know all about my Project Delta View Cats that I started with Mom L and Dad P in 2018 here in my home city of Pittsburg, California. Right? If you don’t know about this extra special project, give me a shout out in comments and I can give you the 411 on it.

So my first meme is created from a photo of one of our rescue “kittens” from Summer of 2019. Now eight months old, this cutie pie is looking for his forever and ever home.

His foster Mom did a great job getting this fellow ready for hangin’ out with his forever family.

Bwahahahaha!!! Isn’t Emmett a tease??!!! As if all of us kitties haven’t set up that “cat trap” more than once in our nine lives! Show off that belly, bring the human in hoping for a stolen moment of pleasure rubbin’ our extra soft belly furs—then WHAM!! Their hand is toast!!!  Emmett is one of two kitties adopted by the human guardians of Otis, from “The Cult of Otis” blog.

Yeah, well my bad! I got stuck and couldn’t get through my stairs like I thought I outta be able to do. Ever had a moment like this one? Please, please, please give me a shout out with your own experience in comments so’s Mom L can stop laughin’ at me!!!

I do hope you now have your Friday Smile on and are lookin’ ahead to a great week-o end as The Trout Town Tabbies say.

Kit Katie aka KK aka Katie 2020 Beginnings

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Katie, as we normally use when talking with her, has had a great start to her 2020 continuing recovery progress. As most of you know, sweet Katie spent her first five months in a hoarding situation. She was forever living in a dark, no windows open, one litter box one bedroom with the human and 25+ cats and kittens. At age five months, when Mom L and Dad P rescued her, she had already had a litter of kittens, most likely deceased. She was terrified and only moved in a “slinking” position.

Katie today.

I want to share some of her recent moments, just since 2020 began. First, you all know how much I luvluvluv my tent Mom L makes for me on our bed every morning. Well, lately, TKS has been getting there before I can. And now! Katie!!!

Oddly, Katie often prefers to jump on top of the tent, collapse it and then take her nap on the blanket pile. Strange KK!

Katie has also taken after her mentor, TKS, and found a mad crazy desire for the humans’ chicken dinners! Of course, Dad P just encourage her!

Oh gosh Dad P! This smell devine!

Dad P is incorrigible and allows her a bit more than a sniff. Much to Mom L’s shock.

Reallly? I can take a taste??!!

And of course Katie just had to start 2020, just last night, by giving Mom L another almost certain hysterical attack of impending doom! Our Dare Devil Katie.

As most of you know, Katie has a permanent limp on her right front leg. The radiologist said it looked like she had some trauma in kittenhood that caused her right shoulder joint to not form properly and there is no socket for the right leg to attach to. Nothing can be done and so far this does not hold Katie back one bit. Just makes her more special to us.

Hope you 2020 is getting off to a great start like ours. What’s new with you?

My Secret Santa Paws 2019

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

First, I promise this blog post will still get your Friday smiles going!! Every year for the past seven years we have pawticipated in Secret Santa Paws, hosted and organized by the incredible kitties and human at Sweet Purrfections. Without Truffle, Brulee and Miss Paula, this wonderful event would not happen at all!!

The deal is that I get selected to be Secret Paws for cat/cats who blog and then in turn some kitties are selected to be MY Secret Paws. It’s a wonderful gift exchange between cats who love to write blogs!

Anywho, moving on. So this year I got to be Secret Santa Paws for wonderful buddies The Island Cats, Ernie and Zoey and their human, The Lady With The Yellow Hair Miss Sue.

I gave Mom L a shopping list and let her use my secret Savannah’s Paw Tracks credit card. And oh my cat did Mom L ever do a great job shopping! So great that TKS, KK and I all wanted to be sure to send off our gifts with some of our very own kitty spit!

That’s us helping Mom L wrap the prezzies we sent to The Island Cats. You can probably tell we really like the selections Mom L made!

Fast forward to Christmas morning when we finally got to open our box from our own Secret Santa Paws, The Celestial Kitties, Leo, Glitter and Cashmere!!

I stayed in bed late on Christmas morning so KK and TKS did the honors for all of us. And TKS was first to get right into that box to start getting those wrapped packages out where she could play with them.

And did those three ever send the bestest ever prezzies to us!! As some of you know, Miss Andrea is known for her skill with those knitting needles and she used them to make a special catnip mousie for EACH of us. You can see that Katie totally loved hers!!

Of course TKS also went nip crazy over several of the prezzies.

You can see that our Secret Santa Paws knew just what we liked. And one of the bestest ever was the paper bag made from catnip paper!

And if you think TKS and KK were nipped out after opening their Secret Santa Paws, you haven’t seen them opening their Christmas stockings!! Remember this is Katie’s first ever Christmas with a loving family!

Of course TKS got to the stocking before anyone else. First there were three on the fireplace mantel.

And then only two!

TKS also had another nip hangover after going through her stocking.

All in all, we kitties had a pawsome Christmas!! Thanks again to Celestial Kitties for their generous prezzies. We are still enjoying each and every one!

So how was your holiday?
