Practice Makes Purrfect…

Hiya! Savannah Here!

It has been a while since I practiced my Kill A Toy moves…you remember…I learned this from Mama Cat over at The Blog of Otis.

Now Mama Cat uses this technique in her Catlympic training camp…but I have found it is just as applicable (Vocab builder project VBP) in my efforts to Kill A Toy too.

Mama Cat teaches us to:

Watch…this means making sure you know what you want to destroy and keep it in focus…

Anticipate…here you have to be able to plot out where the toy will move it next…

Act (showing a kill face)…finally, attack with all your best ferociousness, and always, always have a very believable KILL FACE on…very impawtant

Mom helped my out by being my Toy Handler…

WATCH…look at that direct eye contact!…

Anticipate(shhhhh…but notice the concentration and focus)

ACT…(show Kill Face)…OH CAT!…I had it!!!…that was a great Kill A Toy  training session…

…pheww!!!…I had to get some water and a towel and go cool down after that Kill A Toy training session.  Mom did a good job keeping the toy moving in unexpected directions…

But as you can see…I have studied Mama Cat’s technique, Watch, Anticipate, Act and I am quickly honing (vocab builder project VBP) my skills…I anticipate many dedded toys in the near future…hear that Dad???

I’m gonna need some new toys pretty soon…just sayin’…

I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat!!!….

Hiya! Savannah Here!

Well it has been a busy, busy morning with Mom…I just let her give me lots of soft tummy strokes!!

No Kidding!!!…I really, really did!…I fell asleep on the job being Staircase Troll…and when I woke up…I was scared and meowed for Mom…

She was in our office slaving for me doing some stuff for me like usual…so I ran upstairs to her voice calling to me…

Then I threw myself down on the carpet outside our office and she came out, laid down in the landing with me and that’s when I let her pet my tummy!!! I even let her kiss my back and shoulders…NOT MY TUMMY…but hey, progress, right??

Anywho, I want to share a little video with you cause for the very first time…I TAWT I TAW A PUDDY TAT…SNEAKIN’ UP ON ME….

There I am…just playing with my wonderful Pheasant Feather Toy…and Oh My Cat!!!  There was another cat!!

Of course you all know…it was a mirror…but my first time noticing it and I play there with my scratch ball thingy all the time! Mom is still chuckling over this one…

…and so am I ‘cuz this video is a bit of a “VIDEO BOMB” because she couldn’t play with me and keep focus…MOL…who gets the last heh, heh now???

Monday Meowsie News…

Hiya! Savannah Here!

Lots of stuff to share about what I have been doing that is new or different this past week…

  • Mom was cleaning in the powder room downstairs(that’s a little room with just a sink and a toilet for guests),  and I hopped up on the counter to snoopervise!  She was shocked! I NEVER EVER hop up on counters in the bathrooms…(and I think she may have left a little spot on the mirror, but it was my first snoopervising job, so I’ll let her go this time)
  • Mom and I were playing hot and heavy with Da Bird…I was on my Bird Watching Tower in the living room, right next to the dining room…and I got so excited I flew off the tower to the floor, then ran to the dining table and hopped up on one of the chairs…I NEVER EVER do that…I was so amazed, I stopped playing and had a little look around…then Mom played with me while I was in the chair…
  • …then I decided as long as I was in the neighborhood…I outta check out the dining table too….so I strolled across the table…you should have seen the look on Mom’s face!! MOL!…I NEVER EVER get on the dining table
  • Oh yeah…I now have a new job…we didn’t know what to call it, but Miss Trish, over at Katnip Lounge gave me my new job title...STAIRCASE TROLL…the job requires that I take up as much space as possible on one stair so Dad and Mom have to walk around me and also not trip over me or fall off the stair themselves…

  • I have a basket of toys in our bedroom…the cats before me had one too and they would take toys out to play with…so Mom has been hoping I would learn to explore my toy basket and pick out my own toys…and I DID!!!

  • And I am starting to come back to our office…I walk over to the counter with my bed on it and hop up while Mom is working… but I have also started to stake out a spot just outside our office where I nap while Mom works…(that’s of course when I am NOT working my Staircase Troll job)…

(sorry for Mom’s footsie and leg in the mirror closet door…MOL)

  • Finally…this is not NEW about ME…but Mom, Dad and I are going to move to a new home in September…and here are a couple of photos of the front and back…it is called a “Town Home”…not sure why…guess ‘cuz it’s in a town. It is only about 5 miles from where we live now, but in a different town. Here’s the front…nice, huh?…

…and the back…I don’t go out but I can see it from several spots…at least that’s what Dad told me…I haven’t been over there yet…they are gonna take a month to move slowly so they won’t have to worry about me…I am moving once everything is set up in our new bedroom so I won’t be too scared…that’s the plan anyway…

That’s my Monday Meowsie News…I just keep on doing new stuff…I am getting more and more confident…hope the move doesn’t set me back too much…but we will all be together…

I do have one last thing…and it is a request…I need 3 more doggie volunteers to pawticipate with me in ‘Life Changing Interviews with Savannah: Real Cat and Dog Rescues Are Talking…

I want to do one dog and one cat each month at least through December.  I have lots of cat volunteers, but not enough doggies. I would like to have at least 3 more doggies who are willing to pawticipate…ya know, like Chancy did.  So hope you know someone or have your own rescue experience you want to talk about…let me know.  Thanks lots
