Nursing duty is not easy

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I told you that Mom L has ~~talking~~ walking new-moan-yah, right?

Well that means I have become her Primary Caretaker of course, so I must spend most of my day and night with her in case she wants something. But I do have to call in the back-up nursing staff when I need a litter box break or a snack or just to stretch my legs.

But I gotta tell you, my back up nursing staff needs to get some refresher lessons on proper Mom L care taking. Why just look at how KK decided to pull her first shift!

I just could not believe my eyes when I came back to find her snoozing away in a sun puddle in the cat tower that overlooks our bed where Mom L is recovering. And believe you me KK was sound asleep!

ZZZZZZZZZZZ

Well I sorted her out straight away and next shift she pulled she did so properly.

She faced Mom L and was snuggled as tightly as she could get to her leg so KK would know the instant Mom L needed anything.

As for TKS, she has has many years under my paw for nurse training and she has been pulling her shifts in a pretty responsible manner.

Here she is snuggled tight against Mom L, but unfortunately she had her back to Mom L so’s no way would she wakey up if she couldn’t feel Mom L move. I almost dinged TKS for not facing Mom L like I trained her, but then I moved around to check out just how asleep TKS was. I was gonna give her a fright for not facing Mom L.

But I was caught by TKS who was in no way napping on her nurse shift! She was keeping a close watch for any movement from Mom L.

So as you can see, it isn’t easy being on round the clock nurse duty. I mostly pull the all nighter’s and stick with Mom L from dark until morning. But it sure does help having back up nursing staff. I just need to get KK back into some more training to make sure she stays consistent.

Monday Meowsie Variety Photos

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I thought you might all enjoy seeing some photos of the kitties I featured in my last Monday Meowsie News post. And I am also tossing in some of me, TKS and KK.

This is an “almost” wordless Monday!!

First up is ME, or course! I so luvluvluv having my head brushed, don’t you?

And Kit Katie aka KK, has so many new photos, I had to kind’a pick just a few.

Tks decided to join me and KK in a group photo opportunity.

Now here’s the latest and greatest news!! No photo, but verified by Mom L’s new eyesight after her cat-er-act surgeries. Mom L got up to visit the human’s litter box a few nights ago, and she discovered KK and TKS curled up like doughnuts, butt to butt, furrs touching, snoozing against Dad P’s leg!!! CONTACT!!!

Remember our rescue kitty, Bianca, from the park colony. Check her out after her spay and during her recovery with her foster Mom Miss Helen.

Isn’t she something??? She goes to adoption event next weekend. And she has the most lovely roomie, Miss Penelope.

Of course Katie wanted my readers to check out her latest moves and moments too.

TKS and KK Cat Chat

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Well it isn’t often that we cats allow humans to catch us having a cat chat, but even with her cat-R-acts, Mom L was able to capture a silly cat chat between TKS and KK.

You can see that they were hangin’ out together, so of course a contest or game was gonna happen!

KK: “how’s about “who can look the cutest rolling upside down?” TKS: “Ummm…you mean with my head like this?”

Wow! Now KK is a master at this move.

TKS: “Perfect. Check out this move! My mouth is even kind’a open KK: “ohhh…nice one TKS

KK is so generous and always compliments TKS for her part in every game they play.

KK:” But look at mine with paws up!! TKS: “Yeah well I still think my twist with an inside out chin position is better

MOL!! TKS is still a competitor at heart!

TKS: “KK you do that upside down move all the time. Why? KK:” “Cuz I’m tryin’ to look vulnerable to you so you will wanna snuggle with me

Ahhhh—KK shares a truth.

KK: “So, is it working’ on your TKS? TKS: “*chuckle* Yeah ‘cuz now I play with you in the morning, but not so much with Her Royal Highness Savannah.

Yep, TKS got that right. I am not giving into KK’s “submissive” moves. Although I have tried a couple of playful lunges at her without any hissing from me. I’m not sure if that is “cat play” as I never had any other kitty help me learn what that is.
