Unpacking Baggage: Thursday Purrsday

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Late Breaking News

WHAT???? You ask…is Savannah doing…another post about this woofie Phinny…(previous post click HERE and HERE )

And yes…I have more to ask in Phineas’ behalf.  Phinny is about 1 1/2 years old.  Boxer/American Stafford-shire Terrier is a best guess.

NO GREEN PAPERS…NEXT TO NO TIME…JUST SHARE, SHARE, SHARE

Just as I and all adult rescue cats and woofies…Phinny has baggage.  I have a loving home where I have been able to begin unpacking my baggage and learn to show more and more of my REAL SELF.

Will you help me help Phinny find a home where he can finally unpack his baggage?  Phinny’s baggage was very, very heavy when he was first saved only a couple of hours from being put to death…yes…death, not sleep.

phinny sad

Phinny is so ready to unpack all the loneliness, sadness and go straight to living a joyful life where he can give lots and lots of kisses to any and every human who comes close enough to receive his ever ready slurpy kissy kisses.

He so wants to kiss Foster Mom

He so wants to kiss Foster Mom

Phinny dreamed of being able to give kisses…my former rescue, Contra Costa Humane Society,  ran a fund raising campaign to “Help Phinny Kiss” and they raised $12,000 USD for him…his jaw repair was hugely successful…and then not one human wanted to help him finally unpack his baggage…so that he never has to repack again.

This happy woofie did have an some of his baggage arise…he began, in his foster home, to become highly over stimulated when he saw other dogs at a distance or nearby.  He would try to redirect his energy and fear onto whomever was closest.  So Phinny went to a top notch training facility—Dorfman Canine in Oakland, California.

There he learned how to manage his over stimulation and he will go to his forever guardians with lifetime training consultation from Dorfman Canine.

Just look at him rock!!!…

This is Phinny’s baggage…do you know someone, who perhaps might know someone else who knows another someone who might want to help Phinny unpack forever?

Phinny will be at John Baldwin Park, Concord, CA this Saturday from 1:30 to 4:00PM…participating in Maddie’s Fund Pet Adoption Event.

Do you, or someone you may know, have room in your heart and home for a woofie who needs to unpack his baggage and shove it under a bed while he continues his recovery and moves to live his life as he was meant to live it.

Please, all he needs is for Anipals, Paw Bloggers to SHARE, SHARE, SHARE his story.  Who knows what the universe has in store for Phinny…but I am sure it is something pawsome!

I had to find my ride before I could join in the race…what do you think???

Next, I had to try it out on a local race track to make sure I had a chance to win…(*embarrassed ears* so sorry for typo…I know it should be “length”)

Before the BIG RACE…The Kid Sage asked for a ride so I thought “what the heck”…and she and I had a buzz around some local roads…I think she really enjoyed herself…

Pistol Pants Frolics on Friday

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Yes, Pistol Pants IS The Kid Sage.  That is Mom L’s fave nick name for her right now.  I am only going to be hanging around to get you all started.  I promised The Kid Sage (TKS) she could have some space on my blog today.

Seriously, not sure why I bother given the fact that she still can’t keep from trying to put her nose too close to my furs….sheeeesh…

Ok TKS...get in there and get to typing

Ok TKS…get in there and get to typing

Sage:  Ok YRH, ok…I am working on it but my paws keep hitting three keys next to the one key I wanted to hit.  This is taking a long time…how does Mom L do this???

Savannah: Thumbs Kid, she has thumbs

Sage: ohhhhhhhh…I thought my paw looked a bit different from her paw…interesting.  Well, I just wanted to share some photos of how I like to do my cool down after I have been running all over the house.

Everybody ready??  Here is how I like to do my stretches when I am done with a very energetic play session or maybe I have just come back from doing my “thundering herd of elephants” routine…(be sure to click to bigify to view the whole photo and complete caption)

Wasn’t that just great? I do enjoy my full body stretches…I am not afraid to show my tummy furs…(looks across room toward Savvy)…ahem…koff, koff…moving on…

Mom L has been trying and trying to practice learning about photography.  Her Blog Paws sessions were very helpful.  Here are some practice photos of me.  Because I am so black…I only have a few white furs inside my ears…and our living room gets a ton of light…it is hard to capture my face…but she did OK don’t you think?

That’s about all I have for you today. Hope I get to do another post really soon.
