HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Urgent Request

Urgent Request

Alright furriends, we have some serious purrring to get going. Our pal Brian, and his Sisters’ Gracie, Kitt, Precious, Sascha, Zoe and Dolly all have asked us to help a special feline friend of theirs in great need.

Brian helps so many, cats and even woofies too…and asks for little in return.  This time they are all asking us, their Paw Blog buddies, to help them spread the word about…

SCUTTLES

DSC_0699-1200-300x199

Brian first posted about Scuttles earlier this week and he had this to say about her injuries and how she came to be in such a bad state…

“The owner of the farm where Scuttles has been living lost his wife last year and he is an elderly man who lives alone. He fell and broke his hip and is in the bed home from the hospital on pain meds recovering. Scuttles was the official greeter of all who come and go on the property. She has to get her pets from everyone. She never ventures out into the road, but now people are coming and going all day long to take care of the man, maids, home health aids, etc.

Last Tuesday someone ran over Scuttles. The dogs were barking at something that had crawled under the porch, and it turns out it was Scuttles. She was badly hurt….”

Scuttles has undergone surgery to pin her broken bones and has been returned to her home with a caretaker for her to have quiet cage rest. Brian posted this update: “We still don’t know about any nerve damage or incontinence at this juncture but she is better much better and she is not eating yet having to be force fed…”

Brian, his sisters and their human guardians help so many in need…they do so quietly…and do not ask for anything in return other than being able to experience a cat happily placed in a forever home or perhaps healed from a traumatic injury such as precious Scuttles.

I am asking all of us in Blogville to respond to Brian’s Home request and share about Scuttles wide and far. Not everyone has green papers to spare…but as my pal Nerissa is always reminding me…”SHARING SAVES LIVES”

If our purrrs and prayers are answered, Scuttles will recover completely.  And then…she will be in urgent need of a permanent forever home ASAP! She MUST remain an inside cat the rest of her life to keep her safe; she is such a little lady weighing only six pounds and full grown.  And, as you can see, Scuttles is a black panfur just like my sisfur The Kid Sage.

Thank you my pals…I, Savannah, owe you all big time for all the sharing and donations you have already offered…and now I ask for even more. Let’s help Brian and his Sisters bring Scuttles through this painful time.

I am so very thankful to have my permanent home, and am learning to share it with my sister The Kid Sage…please click on the badge to join Pepi Smart Dog’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

Monday Meowsie News…zippo

Savannah’Disclaimer: I, Savannah, had NOTHING to do with scheduling this post. Mom has lost it, she thought Sunday WAS Monday

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!! (sort of)

You know I like to be an original cat writer.  I don’t snatch others’ ideas and pretend they are my own.  No siree…I give credit where credit is due.

And today I am giving credit to my pal Spitty…I am totally snatching his idea from this past week…I am starting to paw out grades for Mom and  Dad.  Just because they are doing all this catsulting work for some university does NOT mean they can ask for simple PASS or FAIL grades…heh…heh…nope!

I also will not be grading them on a curve.  Just take a look at the “photos” Mom had for me to use today for my blog post…outrageous I say!! Not a single one in decent focus!!

Me doing some snoopervising of the table clean up…they keep leaving all their papers up there…sheeesh…

Mom finally did one little thing for me…I stopped using my pink Princess bed…so she got me a new soft blankie to attract me back…but could she 1) place it inside nice and tidy and 2) take a photo, in focus,  of me using it again?? NO!  again, a sure sign of the grades to come soon for her.

Out of focus again

Out of focus again

Then she intrudes on me while I am napping in my fave box…she was in a hurry, take a photo quick, quick, quick just to give me something…who needs it I say…I should have just skipped today’s post…another embarrassing photo…

Seriously?

Seriously?

As for Dad, he is late, late, late with meal delivery.  I have to wait for him to get my breakfast and my dinner to me…*slaps paw to forehead* I am so gonna have to train him all over again…What Mom ???…oh…well, ummmmmm…ahhhhhh….well, yeah…he does bring my first course with my Mira Lax in my delish pumpkin soup directly to me in bed, true, true…BUT…he is usually at least 42 1/2 seconds LATE!

What about my dinner delivery Mom?…huh?…oh…ummm….ok, ok…he does also deliver my first course at dinner directly to me wherever I am…on the couch, by my step…but again…I have been checking and he is probably way beyond 53 seconds late doing that; so there!!!

Fine, fine…Dad may be getting better grades than you…thank Ceiling Cat he doesn’t try to take photos of me…I will be delivering grades for Mom and Dad once they finish this catsulting work…between now and then…my blog posts are so not gonna be pretty…na’mean???

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Sportin' my SIbe look!!

Sportin’ my SIbe look!!

Just wanted to start off with some levity…for those of you who might not recognize me in my new SSS Sibe Ears and Tail Plume…you can get that little update HERE

And in case you might not know WHY I have long dreamed of becoming a Sibe…ya know…always a ‘Wanna Be’…you can check out my luv affair with Nanuk ever since I first arrived in my furrever home…click HERE

You can also check out my link on the top of my blog page…OTRB

Now as for my reasons for purring up a storm this week…first there is my increasingly intimate relationship with Mom Linda…

I luvluvluv having my toes held by Mom

I luvluvluv having my toes held by Mom

Never, ever in my first 2 years in my furrever home would I have allowed touching my toesies…now I relish it…for a short period…MOL

And then…our bird TV finally kicked up a notch tonight…after 18 months in this rental…we have managed to attract our first woodpecker…can’t tell the type yet…too far off…but he waited long enough for Mom to get her extra telephoto to get the best close up we could…

Mr or Ms Woodpecker

And today I found my first sun puddle on the landing between the two levels of our stairs…I am slowly regaining my role as “stair case troll” given to me almost 2 years ago by the gang over at Katnip Lounge.

I sort of saved the best for last as far as what I am purring so loudly about this week.  Sit back, pull up a chair…this is gonna be complicated…nawwwwwwwwwwwwwww….just kidding…seriously…

So I told Mom that Dad needed to dump that old iPad she ‘dumped’ on him when she upgraded hers…no, no…no family friction over any of this…*koff, choke, giggle*…so Dad had a friend who gave him some green papers for his old one…Mom said “no problem”…but those green papers go into Nana’s “rescue fund”…of course what was Dad gonna say???…

Taaaaaa….Daaaaaaa…..I got some green papers to use as I purrlease…and here is my very first ever with my own green papers rescue pledge…just another Pawing It Forward Project at Casa Savannah…

…please welcome newly rescued Fontaine!…

Thank you all for your help

Thank you all for your help

Now do not, absolutely DO NOT GET ALL LEAKY EYED…yes, just as I looked when I was dumped at a kill shelter…there were no make up support staff present, no one to tidy me or Fontaine up… BUT…ITS A MIRACLE!!!…sharing on Face Book SAVED FONTAINE!! WOO HOO!!!

Dozens and dozens of people across the USA raised over $1550 USD to allow a small rescue to pull her…AND SHE IS ALREADY ADOPTED by one of my FB furriends!!

Fontaine’s Story: “FRACTURE OF DISTAL HUMERUS (DISTAL LIMB DISPLACED MEDIALLY”…PERFECT SCORE 4 PURRING, EXTREME LOVE BUG Fontaine!!…”allows the stroke, rubs on the assessor’s hand, purrs, and appreciates petting on the head and body; interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting!!””…PRECIOUS, DARLING Fontaine at $1550 in pledge offers

While I wish I could post a rescue like this every week; selling my Dad’s iPad allowed me to help this one cat.  But as I have said earlier; sharing on FB, Twitter, posting on your blogs…it all saves lives of rescued companion animals. NO GREEN PAPERS REQUIRED!

PLEASE do not respond to someone sharing about rescue with a simple “purrs he/she gets saved”…share, share, share…it does indeed save lives across this world; in places you did not even know someone…trust me…this is true.

And just a reminder…with one more small request to share…remember my furriend Tiny who has almost been at my former rescue a whole year, just like me.  She still does not have a home…not even one single inquiry. And not many were able to share about her when I posted about her last week

Well Mom Linda and Dad Peter agreed to do the early morning clean up for Kitty Corner, my shelter, yesterday.  Mom took some photos of Tiny as she waited in the rest room (water closet, toilet, etc) for someone to join her…doesn’t she look like a cat who is just waiting for her forever home to find her???

Help her if you can through sharing via blog posts, Twitter, Face Book…or any other social media you use. My purrrs of gratitude will overwhelm you…

Now, I join Pepi Smart Dog’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop…because I have so very much to be purring about…please click on the badge to transport to other incredible thankfulness…
