Do You Have Special Spots for Pets?

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I don’t know about all of you. Whether you are woofies or kitties, but I do know that I, Savannah the Cat, have some very special spots I reserve for the ultimate joy of being pet.

Mom L attended a session at Blog Paws in Arizona where one of the presenters, a Vet, talked about a special “pressure point” on a cat’s head. He said that when he greets a new patient he is always aware of this pressure point and tries to calm the kitty by applying the most gentle pressure on that spot.

I guess Mom L already figured out that “special pressure point” on me in our first months together. And now she knows I will hang out with her anytime she manages to hit that mark!

*sigh* Life is good—I can’t imagine it getting better

And then Mom L reaches over and HITS THE MARK!!

Oh golly gee! that’s just the spot!

That is just the spot that Blog Paws presenter talked about. Right in the middle of a cat’s forehead, just a bit below the “between the ears” mark. MARVELOUS!!

And then Mom L has learned that I like another special spot moved just a bit to the right, and left, to hit just above each eye…

That’s just the SPOT!!

What spots do you have that touch your special relaxation. Woofies and kitties please tell me. I think this big dealio about “special pressure points” to chill’ax us is very important—especially when we are on a visit to places like the *shudder* Vet!

Announcement! My Guest Sunday Selfie Is…

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!

Hope you all remember by last Sunday Selfie Guest…an unknown kitten with an unknown fur color. Here she is again.

“Let me know in comments if you think this kitten is one of the following:

multi-color cow kitten
calico
white with “shabby chic” accents
no clue

Just say the number in comments and I will let ya know what my readers’ consensus is about what color furs this sweet kitten is showing off on my Monday blog post!!”

Come on Doc, just get it over with, ok?

Most of you thought she is likely a calico cat, which is certainly possible and what Mom L thought too. But her tail resembled a tabby cat!!

One comment from my gal pals Scylla and Chimera from ATCAD blog suggested she actually resembles a Turkish Van cat. I went to Ms Wikipedia and I must say, this kitten DOES resemble the “Tortie” fur color of a Turkish Van cat! (photo courtesy of By 3Leonards – en wikipedia, Public Domain)

This cutie was one of three kittens getting their vaccinations, blood draw for snap test and worming at Community Concern 4 Cats (CC4C) special Kitchen Cat Clinic hosted by Ms Gemma, President of CC4C, and Ms Josie, retired cat specialist Vet, Mom L’s good friend.

Mom L had not been for several weeks so this week was especially important. Mom L was able to visit with and take photos of several special younger patients. One of whom was of course, my guest for my Sunday Selfie entry this week. Here are her litter mates.

Aren’t they a gorgeous threesome?! There was a really nice tortie girl too, but she was a bit older. And Doc Josie’s reassurances didn’t make her feel a whole ton better!

What’d’ya want lady??

Of course she soon learned what Doc Josie wanted and Ms Tortie was none too pleased.

One more young’in was up for her blood draw and she took it like a champ!

Let’s get this part over with, OK?

Goofus Doofus TKS

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!

Dear readers, your wishes have been granted. I am allowing my doofus sisfur The Kid Sage to be the center of attention in this blog post.

You are clamor for more of her when she shows up, so as always, my readers’ wishes are my command—sometimes.

TKS does have a “nose” for the finer things in life such as clean laundry. While I, on the other paw, am drawn to the more fragrant aromas of—well…ahem…koff, koff…OK!! I admit it! I am drawn to that human attire that has that subtle, yet pungent hint of salt—and maybe a touch of Chardonnay? Oh wait, sorry—I meant to say that “subtle hint of bourbon”—as I am referring to Dad P’s clothes, not Mom L’s.

Moving on, TKS was caught red paw having a field day snuffling, pawing and even chomping—never once did she “inhale”—Dad P’s fresh clean gym clothes.

Ahhh…now this is just how I like Dad P’s gym clothes…clean

Unfortunately for TKS, she was caught once again, red pawed, attempting to alter the way Dad P’s clean gym clothes are put together—aka she started to chomp rather than snuffle.
