Foolish Bird Friday…

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

First let me apologize to my very special furriends…da’ Tabbies O’ Trout Towne…I am gonna be talkin’ “burd” today…so guys…ya might wanna like, ya know…skip reading this post…(wink, wink)

So, I was hanging out in my comfy playroom…not sure why Mom and Dad call it a “living room”…cuz it’s just chuck full of my play stuff…humans are weird…gotta luvluvluv ’em just the same.

…and then I hear this chirp…chirpity…chirpity…chirp…chirp…(and I swear it was ended with a little ‘heh…heh)

So OK…I am drawn to my large screen HD Bird TV station…

DSC_1487

…and Oh Cat!…there is this bird…

DSC_1485

…Mom says it is a dark eyed black capped Junk bird…and yeah…I’d like him in a junk pile after all the teasing he put me through…

This cheeky little bird spent about 15 minutes hopping from potted shrub to potted shrub…right outside my Bird HD TV Station…constantly taunting me with his fluttering and chirping and stuff…

…can you see him in that middle potted shrub???

DSC_1480

…at times he got even closer…look really careful and you can see him in the plant on the right…that is very close to my Bird HD TV Station…

DSC_1484

…and them he hopped back and forth, back and forth between that shrub and the first one…always screaming and taunting me with his stoopid chatter…

DSC_1483

Now Mom thought this was all “hardy har har” funny…not to me…and he sure did look plump to me…and crunchy too…too bad that screen didn’t have a hole in it…just sayin’…

peeEss…for those of you who seem to luvluvluv having your ‘squeee’ look at foster brofur Leo…I told Mom it was OK to post just one photo of him…this is MY BLOG after all…harummppffff…

…Leo looking at some bird TV from MY MASTER BEDROOM WINDOW…another invasion of my castle!!

My Home Is My Castle…Thankfully

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

First I have to apologize to my gardening mentor Jonesie…I don’t have anything new in my garden to report for this Thursday…we think we are between stuff bloomin’ and whatnot.

But, there’s been lots going on so I have a few things to share…

IMG_0267

Now I always like to pawticipate in Pepi Smart Dog’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop…and thankfully, I always have stuff to appreciate…like making sure my home is MY castle…don’t mind sharin’ now and then, like with foster brofur Leo…but sometimes the guest just takes things a bit far…na’ mean???

…this is, thankfully, MY Nanuk…my source of courage and support from my Sibe furriends…(thank Cod he is plush otherwise he might wanna taste me like Khyra tried to do when I interviewed her).

…I always give him a little smoochie before I eat my snacks…

…but now I have actual PROOF that my foster brofur Leo has been takin’ advantage of my hosspeetaility…he has gone too far this last week…

I mean I NEVER!!!  Don’t you think he took advantage of being in my CASTLE???? Seriously???!!!

Next, here he is takin’ advantage of my super duper extra special totally unique Three Way Teleport Tunnel!! I mean he could have damaged it beyond repair!!!…

The final straw was when I saw Mom sharin’ his photo with some of my pals from my former rescue shelter, Kitty Corner…Leo was using my mousie toy (the one I treasure never play with)…he did so much upper body strength training he had to take a ‘cool down’ break…

Why, I think he was even trying to copy what I learned from Mama Cat, over at Leader Otis’ bloggy,  about being in the Catlympics.  So, I think I need to be very, very thankful that Mom and Dad made this MY CASTLE…and now…foster brofur Leo needs to start tryin’ to find his own castle…just sayin’…

After all, a thoughtful caring hostess like me can only take so much…then it’s “don’t let the door slam on your tail goin’ out!!”…heh…heh

I know that this will always be my furrever home…and I still spend my evenings on the couch next to Mom…but lately I have been hiding behind the couch during the day…I know Leo is here…and I am a bit scared. Thankfully, Ceiling Cat watches out for me…and makes sure I have peaceful evenings with Mom and Dad…just the three of us…

Thankfully, My Home Is My Castle…I just have to pull up the draw bridge…

Monday Meowsie News…Update The Royals

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I know that all of my readers remember the cry to “Save The Royals”…click HERE  for Part One: The Rescue…click HERE for Part Two: The Back Story and click HERE for Part Three…Social Media Rocks!

As many of you remember…I had “Writer’s Block” at the last of the posts…

WRITERS BLOCK

…it was a tough road…but the toughest road was for the pawsome two adopters…Mom Rhonda, who adopted Emily…

Emily with the pretty eyes

Emily with the pretty eyes

and Mom Laura who adopted both Brutus and Marigold (brofur and sisfur)…

Marigold and Brutus

That rescue has had its share of trials and tribulations…both of the adopter furramilies had so much to deal with…from how to integrate the new Royals into the other cats in the home…and then…all of the Royals required dental work which we all know is HUGE costs.

Then Emily in Utah became very ill…and her new Mom Rhonda faced that challenge of how to cover the cost of her medical care…but Miss Rhonda never gave up.

…Emily flirting for her GrandPawrents…heh..heh…

Next, Miss Laura who adopted the brofur and sisfur Marigold and Brutus…she learned a day before receiving them that her landlord would not allow for two more cats…so Miss Laura had to go through the expense of moving her hufamily to a new home in a short week…but she did all of that to be able to joyfully receive Brutus and Marigold…Angel Mom Rose’s kitties.

Marigold 1

Now for the very very sad Monday Meowsie News…sweet, precious Marigold developed “wet” FIP…

….From June 3rd, when Marigold is still feeling sort of “OK” to June 11, when she was sliding fast toward the Bridge…Mom Laura was ever at her side.

Purrlease visit Mom Laura’s post to memorialize precious Marigold…click HERE…again, Purrlease leave words of encouragement for Marigold’s huFamily, furrAmily and especially for her Mom Laura.

Nellie’s Mom Barb created this lovely graphic and badge…purrlease feel free to add it on your blogs to let Marigold and Miss Rose know that you remember them…

…the badge graphic…

Marigold-New-300x300

I am proud that Mom Linda and I had some part in Saving The Royals…and we are all…including Dad Peter…shedding leaky eyes over Marigold’s run to the Bridge.  Mom Laura did just what Marigold needed…Mom Laura gave her release from pain, and suffering and sent her to join her Mom Rose whom she greatly missed and Mom Rose is waiting for Marigold with Beau…it is a joyful reunion…just ask Pepi Smart Dog

Precious Marigold…you will not be forgotten in our home…nor in your Mama Graces’ home…nor in many homes around the world…Fly sweet Marigold to a joyous reunion with Mom Rose…and wait for Mom Laura…she will join you in her own time too…she luvluvluv’d you so well…
