Sage begged asked me to allow her to share how she and Dad P spend every Sunday morning. I figured, what the heck! Let TKS have her day! MOL!!!
Purrlease! Tell me in comments if ANY of you share this kind of playtime with your humans!
Wow!! Who would ever believe that our bedsheets are NOT HAUNTED!!???
But then the squirmy cat emerged and revealed her identity!
Sagie, known to furramily. and our Dad P and Mom L, is our treasured Jester Kitty. Do you have a Jester Kitty in your home? Who is it and what do they do? Inquiring minds wanna know!!
Sagie is always mesmerized by that ever elusive string!
Finally, Sagie turns her angelic face to Mom L, and looks as though she is amazed that Mom L would even be interested in what she and Dad P do every Sunday.
I never ever thought my future would hold more than me, Mom and Dad. And then, because I bonded so closely with Mom L, Dad P really missed having a cat that was close to him. This is me when I was dropped at the night drop box at our county animal shelter in 2010.

ENTER—TKS aka The Kid Sage aka Sage. I had a really tough time accepting Sage. But Mom L and Dad P’s patience got me through that adjustment. Sage came along about twenty months after I made myself comfy in my new forever castle.
Contemplating Zen
Sage and I have become good furriends. I know she always wanted to snuggle, but my previous traumas before coming to my forever castle made me a very hesitant to trust kitty. Na’mean??
And then, as Mom L and Dad P became involved in community cat rescue in 2017, they happened upon a desperate five month old kitten who was traumatized in a hoarder’s home.
ENTER—Katie aka KK aka Kit Katie. Katie came to my castle in the summer of 2018, she was adopted twice and returned both times because she was “too shy”.
Mom L and Dad P said forget that crap!! This kitteh is ours!! And Katie has become such a treasure in my forever castle!
Our concern has been that sweet Katie is only three years old, and she is starting to sleep more than she used to play. I am now—ahem!—a sixteen year old lady cat and TKS is a nine year old gal. Neither of us has the energy to keep Katie playing and I have to admit, I am also now deaf so’s I can’t even hear her calling to me to play.
ENTER—you decide if this entry may be in my future. I am yet not convinced, but there are possibilities. This was taken in my our master bedroom during afternoon siesta time. Notice any introoders?
So listen up my pals! I heard Mom L tell Dad P that she was gonna put Sage, aka TKS, on a similar kind’a diet that Mom L is trying out. Something about “Low Card/b”?? Help me out pals, does this mean that my very own Mom L is now trying to eat LESS cardboard?? OMC!! I never even knew she ate that stuff!!
I know she has been trying to hold back on some of her favorite foods like bread and pasta—BUT LOW CARDBOARD!! (Card-o-hydrate)
And now, she is gonna make Sage cut back on her consumption of cardboard too!!! WHO KNEW!! Sage has been putting on weight by eating cardboard from all those Chewy boxes she likes so much! *slaps paw to forehead*!! And she has put on almost a whole HALF POUND since a month or so ago! It has to be all that soggy cardboard sittin’ around in her tummy, right???
Hover over those photos to see the dates they were snapped. What do you think? Does our TKS need to go on that “Low Card” diet???

Here are a couple more comparison photos.
July 2021
October 2021
Sage has gained about a half pound in just the last month!!! She went from 12 LBS 6 oz to 13 LBS 2 oz! And she sure does have a large tummy on her.
She cuts a wide image to say the least!
But even if Sage has gained a bunch of weight quickly—somepawdy help me understand how this “Low Card” diet is gonna make a difference?? And what’s up with Mom L tryin’ to to the same thing??? I have never ever seen Mom L eat one single piece of cardboard. SWEAR!! NEVER!!
As always, I really am lookin’ forward to your words of wisdom to help me understand what the heck poor Sage is gonna have to go through with all this “Low Card” diet junk!
