How do you use your television?

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

The question for my Monday post is all about sharing how we all interact with our human’s televisions. Of course I am assuming you 1) live with a human who has a TV and 2) that you care one whiff about said TV!

Starting with TKS.

I can see everything in the living room from here! Sweet!

Of course it never crosses TKS’ mind that NO ONE who is attempting to watch that TV can see through her! This is a new sitting post for TKS and it is driving Mom L mad!! Too funny!!! MOL!

I am NOT a copy cat!! I like it up here!

And there you have it. Katie aka KK has decided to try out TKS’ approach for surveying the room from wherever the humans place their TV. However, KK chose to take the TV perch on in our bedroom.

Zzzzz…*snort*…zzzzz

As for me, I choose to take my TV time in stride. And nap. What in Ceiling Cat’s name does a human TV have to offer us cats!!

Pretty cute, aren’t they?

And I now that Mom L just luvluvluv’s to see my little pink toe pads when I snooze next to her on our couch while she watches her sill human TV.

Remember Sam? I have an update!!

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I posted on July 29th the ~~tail~~ tale of Sam aka Samantha aka Sammy’s capture to be able to treat a severe injury. We thought Sammy was a girl, then a boy, then a girl and finally once we got “him” to our county animal services, they confirmed “IT’S A BOY”!!!

Well Sam was released from Contra Costa County Animal Services (CCAS) to Miss Jane’s care in early August. CCAS staff and medical docs treated him like the elegant young mancat he is. We are proud that CCAS is one of our key partners for my latest Paw It Forward Project, Project Delta View Cats (PDVC).

We also have the great good fortune to have a wonderful working relation with Furry Friends Pet Relief as they are the rescue that found a very reasonably priced veterinarian, Central Boulevard Vet Hospital, who knows how to manage feral kitties, to do Sam’s much needed dental. Sam was boarding on stomatitis so we weren’t sure what would happen and how many toofies he might need extracted.

Good news!! Sam had NO extractions!! And one of our wonderful volunteers, Miss Kandi, donated the cost of his dental. So after that, Sam went to have a very nice relaxing recovery at Miss Jane’s home.

Check out the amazing set up Sam had thanks to Miss Jane and her hubby Mr Bob. Sam was catered to and cared for and we believe he is ready to be released back to our park colony this next week.

I know that Sam will always remember Miss Jane, his protector and care giver. He will be looking for her to serve up his meals once released at PDVC’s park colony.

Community Cats Are Worth It!

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Just in case you didn’t already know it, Mom L and Dad P have started a program in our forever city of Pittsburg, CA called Project Delta View Cats (PDVC). Of course I am the one who ~~told~~ influenced them about just how to go about doing this new Paw It Forward Project for me us. Not sure how they would have gotten this far without my steadfast ~~incessant~~ advice.

But we all know that our community’s abandoned, stray cats are worth every bit of effort we invest in helping them to live healthier lives and to over time have fewer of them left to fend for themselves. We are making sure the community cats we find are spayed, neutered, vaccinated and that their feeders are practicing the most neighborly methods of feeding them and caring for them so’s the whole neighborhood doesn’t see the cats as nuisances.

The hard working volunteers here at PDVC work nights and weekends to try to humanely trap the stray, abandoned, feral community cats we locate or feeders tell us about. Lots of times we work in teams when we have some trap savvy kitties to catch.

You see this project those trappers are working on involves some down right trap wary cats. They even had one of them snoopervising them while they talked about how they were gonna approach this project that involve a mom cat and some pretty feral juvenile kittens.

Yeah, you guys try that. HAH!! Won’t work!

This smarty pants then went off to tell the other cats what we were gonna do. He hung around to learn that they were using both a regular humane trap and a drop trap!

That reconnaissance cat watched until he knew just what the trappers were up to and then this is all Mom L saw of him again!

Off to tell the other guys what to look out for…heh…heh…heh

As I said at the top of this post, COMMUNITY CATS ARE WORTH IT!!

As for me, I have been snoopervising from my favorite sun puddle created by one of our skylights.

Snoopervising is such hard work!
