Dealing with stress

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Well you got a great ole big humongous clue in my last Monday post about where my stress and anxiety are coming from. I do not deal well with anything stressful, never have and now that I am mostly deaf, it ain’t gettin’ any easier.

“HOW?” you ask is my stress showing up?

Let’s just say I didn’t have a chillaxin’ morning, na’ mean?? I had, ummm…ahhhh…*how to say politely*…”Ok, I had a serious incident of the squirts!”  Told ya it wasn’t pretty. I left clues to my embarrassing incident on my  on our king size bed, on the stair carpet and of course, in the litter box.blankies

So bad that Mom L and Dad P had to give me a butt baffy. *hangs head between paws* Oh the shame of that baff.

Kittehs, I am not sure I can hang on with this potential introoder lookin’ more and more like she is gonna wanna stay in my castle. How have you coped with some youngsters showing up, in your comfy senior years, and trying to become head of your castle? I need help my pals, serious help.

Do you know what the future will bring?

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I never ever thought my future would hold more than me, Mom and Dad. And then, because I bonded so closely with Mom L, Dad P really missed having a cat that was close to him. This is me when I was dropped at the night drop box at our county animal shelter in 2010.

My Intake Photo: Kill Shelter

ENTER—TKS aka The Kid Sage aka Sage. I had a really tough time accepting Sage. But Mom L and Dad P’s patience got me through that adjustment. Sage came along about twenty months after I made myself comfy in my new forever castle.

Contemplating Zen

Sage and I have become good furriends. I know she always wanted to snuggle, but my previous traumas before coming to my forever castle made me a very hesitant to trust kitty. Na’mean??

And then, as Mom L and Dad P became involved in community cat rescue in 2017, they happened upon a desperate five month old kitten who was traumatized in a hoarder’s home.

ENTER—Katie aka KK aka Kit Katie. Katie came to my castle in the summer of 2018, she was adopted twice and returned both times because she was “too shy”.

Mom L and Dad P said forget that crap!! This kitteh is ours!! And Katie has become such a treasure in my forever castle!

Our concern has been that sweet Katie is only three years old, and she is starting to sleep more than she used to play. I am now—ahem!—a sixteen year old lady cat and TKS is a nine year old gal. Neither of us has the energy to keep Katie playing  and I have to admit, I am also now deaf so’s I can’t even hear her calling to me to play.

ENTER—you decide if this entry may be in my future. I am yet not convinced, but there are possibilities. This was taken in my our master bedroom during afternoon siesta time. Notice any introoders?

UPDATE: Happy Tail Endings

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I thought you might enjoy a little update on a few of my castle guests who have passed through my castle or through my abandoned community cat TNR group—Delta View Cats.

First up are the darling bonded sister’s, trapped as part of a TNR project. BUT—a couple of our volunteers decided to foster the two sisters and the two brothers. I wrote about them as part of my Kitten Season post. As of two weekends ago, the bonded sisters, Xochitl (“zow-cheel” meaning “flower” in Aztec, and Luna meaning “moon” in Spanish) have met their forever family!! YAY!!! Below you can see one of the girls peeking out from the vent in an apartment building where they were hiding out with their mom cat. Then you see them starting to grow up in their loving foster home, marinated well in love and patience.

Do you remember my castle guest, Carmelita?? You see her below shortly after she was adopted into a most loving home. Her humans sent me a couple of new photos of her that I thought you would all enjoy. She is clearly in her bestest ever forever home!!

Carmelita is now “Amelia”. After the famed human female pilot Amelia Earhart!!

And of course, not last, not least—I want to continue my reporting about the integration of two adult cats, one a “senior” and the other about 4-5 years old, into a Happy Tail Ending together home. Do you remember Gigi? My several months castle guest?

And  then her famous cat blogging human adopted ANOTHER adult from me? His name is Buddy!

WELL!! Take a look at them NOW!! After many chases, paw whaps and hisses—these two are finally finding a balance and some peace in their forever home with their awesome  and patient human, Miss Mary!!

And now, TODAY!!

I know Gigi and I am pawsitive that she is sayin” “Did you touch me??!!!”

Hope you have some smiles going from these Happy Tail Updates. My sincere apologies for missin’ my usual Friday Memes for Friday Smiles, but Mom L was not up to speed.
